Happened to me as well. I pawned something for cash needed for a bill. At the ATM I deposited my money and hit print receipt, it gave me my recept but kept my bank card. I spoke with the person at the bank and they said I would have to wait a week for the ATM people. Two hours latter the money was resended from my account, by the bank. A week latter the teller gave me the balance as credit pending the outcome. Two months latter the bank teller took the deposit amount out of my saving account and said he should not have done that. It took another two weeks and three phone calls to corperate to get the matter fixed. For all my trouble the bank paid me back a few over draft fees that I acquired in the past. Over all I dont deposit money in ATMs anymore.

This just happened to me here in Vegas. The atm was making a noise and kicked back most of my money then kicked out another two $20 bills but not the $160! I took a picture of the screen that read “sorry we’re having trouble. Call this number to make sure your deposit went through. “ I took a pic of the receipt as well. Where in the - did my money go? 27 $20 bills. And only 21 were returned. Unacceptable!
Yesterday my husband went to Chase band in NJ. He went to take $400 out of our account. The money showed, and he went to reach for his wallet, the money sucked back into the machine. We are Chase account holders and yesterday we went inside the bank to use the atm to withdrawal our rent money like we do every month. The machine didn't disperse the money but it was deducted out of our account. Chase bank employees said they couldn't credit our account. We have the atm receipt which states " system error, we could not give cash" I called the # on the back of my chase debit card and were informed our money would be credited within 12 hours. It's been over 24 hours now and still missing $800. I called back and now I'm told it can take 3 to 5 business days to get our money. Customer service says the money was dispensed but my husband didn't grab it in the allotted time so the machine sucks it back in and it goes into an unclaimed slot inside the machine. It should of sent an error code to atm computer and the transaction should of been voided and our money would still be in our account. Well the withdrawal reversal didn't go through due to a glitch but we still have to wait even though the bank manager spoke with the customer service rep and it was their mistake. Sucks when you live paycheck to paycheck.
Now what do u do if the atm doesn't give u a receipt since it is malfunctioning cuz I know I've had plenty of ATMs that have not given me a receipt!!!!!

My Chase ATM just took $540 early this morning...a rep told me they contract their ATMs out to a 3rd party. They were nice enough to give me a temporary credit...on a account with more money than the 540.
This just happened to me this morning, and it didn’t even print a receipt. Now im at the mercy of some kind of investigation.. this was $1000.00 deposit.

I used to work for a bank and part of what I did was "balance" the ATM's (compare starting cash against deposits/withdrawals). My bank's ATM's were balanced everyday Monday-Friday. If a machine had an "overage" of $1,450.00 it would be immediately obvious that the gentleman here was owed a credit to his account. I don't understand why it would take so long for his bank to resolve this. If it was shown that our bank had "over-paid" a customer, the money would be immediately "debited" from their account and a notice sent out explaining why. The other thing is that all of the ATM locations have cameras on them - it's good that the person here saved his receipt, but the bank could have gone back and looked at the film of his deposit and verified that, yes, he was there when he said he was.

There was probably some bills that were in bad shape and caused a misfeed. That would explain why he still got a receipt. ATMs can recover from some of those sorts of things and do have safeguards, but if a bill is wet and crinked or torn, that can really gum up the works. ATMs are a pain to work on.

Chase Bank ATM in Delray Beach FL just took $700 cash from me at 8:30am before open hours. Took 90 minutes inside the branch to get a claim entered. Only corporate can handle this, local branch is powerless. I'm out$700 with nothing but an error code receipt and a claim number I had to call in to get after waiting 90 minutes the first time. No email, no documentation from the branch, no pending transaction in my account to give me piece of mind. I will always take pictures of bill numbers before giving any bank my cash going forward.
Always keep your receipts. Once I deposited money with a teller who apparently made a mistake when punching in the account number. When I went to use the ATM a few days later I noticed the money never made it to my account. I went back to the bank and showed them the receipts. They investigated and found the clerical error but I still had to wait a couple of days. The money was mistakenly deposited on someone else's account. Luky for me that I found the receipt otherwise I'd be screwed.
@@nolaeast7412 ask for one. Always ask for a receipt for anything you purchase and keep it for a little while. You'll never know, that receipt can save your life. I've seen many cases on ID where a person was able to prove his innocence using a receipt.

So what u do if u don't get a receipt
@@nolaeast7412 ask for one. Always ask for a receipt for anything you purchase and keep it for a little while. You'll never know, that receipt can save your life. I've seen many cases on ID where a person was able to prove his innocence using a receipt.
@@SanchoSanto how can i get a receipt the machine didnt give me one and error came up and the machine shut dwn
@@nolaeast7412 You'll have to talk to the bank about any issues.
@@SanchoSanto I did and they took my money
Then after like a 10 minute reboot the machine said it was unable to take cash or check deposits.
There was probably the delay because it was attempting to run self diagnostics. When those failed thats why it shut itself down.
This happened to me today ( not chase). I was at the bank and refused to leave ATM. They said a 3rd party is in charge of it. So I went inside and filed a claim. Heres how they tried to solve it. Informed me a Brink's driver would be by to fix the machine and they would handle it. Heres what actually happened, Brink's driver fixed machine, they have no idea what he found and he has 2 weeks to make a report. I asked about who witnessed what he found, they said nobody. Out $900...
I tried to withdraw 60 bucks at this credit union bank and the atm just restarted and I didn't get my money. I got the text saying I withdrew it. Then I couldn't go inside so I went to the drive through and they said I had to wait till management came in the next day. But I finally got it back fortunately
BOYCOTT CHASE BANK
Chase atm just did this to me and man am I pissed!🤬
I wouldnt even do it at my bank.
Just had this happen to me only around $150 but now have to wait on a claim because the atm malfunctioned.
For day's I was trying to put money into one of my accounts through the atm once I was done it kept telling me the amount I put in which was incorrect I retrieved all of my money and did it again but it kept telling me incorrect information so I ended up taking all the small bills off and leaving the large bills and surprisingly it was the correct information if I was not paying attention I don't know how I would've gotten my money back
theres scammers waiting outside to take your money as soon as they see you put it in, they freeze the atm from a far and when u leave they walk over to the atm and spit the money back out. scammers. seen this in person when i deposited 2500 some crip looking guy walked over all masked up and took my money out of the atm and walked away. saw this happen when i was otp w chase.. wtf
Bank just did the same thing to me. With 1800... chase needs to not offer this if it does this... I filed my claim and waiting for my investigation
That happened to me as well
This just happened to me went to deposit $1150 cash said the normal "one moment please" then said "A general error occurred please take your items or they will be retained" there was nothing there for me to take!! They took the money but gave my card back about a min later. Called the bank immediately and started a claim they have cameras there I did not get a receipt back but im sure Ill get my money back they know what time i was there and can see the money in the machine im sure
Just had this happen today. Thankfully I have more 3$ tho. 1270$ is what it sucked away. It didn’t give me a receipt tho
This happened to me today I got my tax return deposited into my debit card went to take out the entire sum of $560 the machine started making the cash dispensing noise then said on the screen system encountered a snag and terminated my withdrawal I said okay I thought to myself let me check the balance just in case i checked my balance and there was $6 in my account instead of the 570. so it cancelled or terminated the withdrawal but it still took my money. Went into the bank and management said I have to fill out a claim report and said it could take up to 2 weeks before I get my money back so now I'm left without any money when I had close to $600 and I didn't even get an apology just here fill out the claim report and will get back to you never trust Chase bank
This just happened to me!! 1k took from me trying to deposit cash - now they have to investigate
How’d it go
never deposit cash in atms, only checks to deposit
Only deposit cash with a teller, checks are ok at ATM. The cash isnt yours again until its credited to your account
This happend to me with chase luckily I had a receipt but soon after I changed banks
So basically there is no solution to not losing your money through late fees and so on because what Chase said to do fixes none of those issues…😤
That happened to me I was so scared I was like that's the only money I had and it took it 😭😭😭😭😭
This just happened to me!
OMG ! I LIVE CLOSE TO THIS BANK THAT COULD OF BEEN ME BUT I'M SAFE NOW BECAUSE ITS 2021 NOW.
Tfs! All done with that bank for a couple of reasons. Heading to a credit union
Our Chase wants us to use the inside machines instead of standing in line :(
I deposit cash to a teller !
This just happened to me … but the machine did not give me a receipt… I filed a claim and am waiting for them to credit my account …chase bank needs to do better
Wasnt it chase that took alot of money last year where alot of peoples money just disappeared?
I never ever make a deposit to a machine... I always use a teller, and get a receipt.
Damn im bad at losing receipts i would have gotten reamed on this one..
Has this happend to Bank of America ?
this just happened to me but at a bank of america atm
All bank arms are doing this
The reporter is soo beautiful 😻
I would never bank with Chase or Bank of America
ATM MACHINES SHOULD HAVE ON CALL 24 HOUR MAINTANCE ATM IN ALAMOGORDO NM DEPOSITED $400. TOOK IT BACK JUST AS I WENT TO GRAB IT. STILL WAITING FOR MY ACCOUNT TO BE CREDITED THREE WEEKS NOW. MORE ELDER ABUSE.
0:31 ATM Machine 😂
Be careful TD Bank will do the same. You've been warned!
This literally just happened to me.
Never use chase if you have another option.
