I sometimes watch where you put your magnet down and I just sit here wondering if you may accidentally damage something. Can magnets permanently damage electronics?
Magnets that induce permanent electromagnetism can destroy wires and chips by changing how they act.
Ones that don't cause permanent electromagnetism can cause damage to chips but should revert to normal after a short time. Should being the operative word...

also you need a quite strong neodym magnet to harm HDDs for how well shielded they are now compared to the one's back in the 80's.
You can always fix your mistakes, unless you take it to term.
Screw magnet ball on top of NVME SSD? 3:08 I then did a google search and realized magnets don't affect SSDs, only HDDS. You learn something new every day. Also, it seems like fixing macbooks has become a simpler task. Maybe because they have simplified removal of the board, or maybe because you just know exactly what to look for now

Ive fixed things in the IT world before, not knowing wtf i did to fix it. Just part of the T/S process and suddenly it starts working without even changing anything. Usually i sit at my desk slack jaw thinking, wtf i didnt change anything... then tell the customer "cleared before isolation" and monitor it for a while.

Oh boy can you go into detail? i clean my keyoard almost every single day but i still find junk in between keys. I can't imagine how dirty those keyboards can get.

Hi, I just started to learn this things and already have a problem that I'm stuck with. My a1304 mcbk air turns on (fan spin), there is light on the charger and at the front as well, but there's nothing on the screen (no immage, no backlight). No strange sounds either. Any sugestion? All voltages seems to be okay. Pls help
This might sound dumb but check your screen brightness. The lowest brightness can turn off the screen completely.
