It’s twice as thick & heavier than pretty much every other phone on the market, but that’s a tradeoff that you expect going in. Be prepared though, unless you have the pockets for it, you’ll need to carry some sort of sling bag or purse to actually store it. This is still the coolest, most futuristic phone you can buy, but it’s definitely not for everyone.

Have to disagree with them there .. They won’t be the standard until they get solid water & dust resistance , And make the inner displays more durable . Even then , They’re cool and all , But for every day use .. They’re not that practical . I love my fold 4 , But after a few weeks , I started to miss my S22 ultra .

I'm a machinist and trade worker, recently upgraded to the Flip 4 from Apple. Not having that whole screen always exposed (granted you have the little display on front) is so much nicer. I'm known for checking a email and my hands are usually dirty with oil or grease so not having to smear that on the big screen just to look at a text is nice. Also it's a little more of a comfortability factor knowing only the back glass is exposed when it's pocketed. I go through phones like a mad man so I'm sure I'll end up putting this through a stress test sooner or later. Curious to see how it's battery and toughness stand up over a year or so

I work at a go kart workshop and use a fold 3 as a daily driver. Because of my work flow I can't treat my phone as I would like to, sometimes it gets placed in surfaces with some metal debris, handled it with dirty hands, has suffered falls either closed or open, and has had contact with water in some occasions. It's worth noting I'm using a case since day one.
One year later the phone has dents on the hinge, some scratches on the aluminum borders, the film over the inner screen started to form bubbles around the area of the crease, so in the end I had to remove it and it's been in this state for 3 months now. Also, I noticed some weird swelling around the crease, as though the screen is separating from the aluminum chassis, so now I have even more to bear besides the crease itself.
Recently I started to note a very small scratch on the upper part of the crease in the inner display and from what I read apparently is a crack that will start to grow in lengthwise. I was planning to keep this phone for another year but now I will have to take the trade in offer here in my country to upgrade to a fold 4, luckily my phone has been accepted!
I know it's not ideal, I would not be forced to upgrade had I went with the traditional slab phone (my previous S10+ is still going strong!) but after a year with a foldable, it's hard to go back. I can read manuals with ease, watch pictures in more detail, edit documents on the go while if needed have another sheet open for consulting and Chrome open for some quick search... You can do all this in a traditional phone (I could in my old trusty S10+) but doing the same in a bigger screen is faster and way more convenient.

I'm not sure that foldables will become the new norm, but I love my Fold 4. I have been pleasantly surprised by the fantastic performance (something I've not been impressed with in the past with Samsung's software) and battery life. At this stage, I can't see myself going back to a regular phone. Emails and multitasking are just so much better on this screen, and I am needing to pull out my laptop less during the day. Cons: Some apps aren't optimized to use the inner screen, so apps like IG will use full screen, but when you view stories, they get cut off sometimes. Another example is CZcams. You can expand the screen so that it is full screen, but a lot of the picture gets cut off. Other apps that I use will utilize the full inner display nicely, such as Tik Tok, banking apps, spotify, etc. Also, the phone can be a little heavy, but as a guy with bigger pockets in my pants, it hasn't really made a huge difference. For those that don't know much about camera sensors, the motion blur is a compromise the camera takes in low light situations, shutter speed needs to be slowed down gradually to allow enough light in to give you a bright image. This is especially evident in night photos. You won't run into motion blur issues during daylight as the phone can take the image at a much faster shutter speed thus eliminating motion.

I showed someone the picture of my Z fold 4 and they were flabbergasted at the screen. That screen and Excel is super efficiency. I use the S pen. Multitasking on this phone eases the brain activity compared to conventional sizes. Less zooming is one advantage.
You should turn your phone to landscape view if you have the Samsung case with a pen casing plugged on.
I have no regrets and hardly see disadvantages.
As for the crease, it is the least of a problem because it does not affect my ability to use the phone even with my S-pen. It is not as bad as some make it to be.
About the quality of big screen camera, I think I'm not fussy about it because I can see that it's really for video calling, which in any case, the quality is not the best due to network buffering.

I had it since the 23 of August and these is my opinion:
Front Screen - TOO narrow. You made MANY mistakes on typing.
Under Screen Camera - Garbage. 0/10
Battery . Ok, not he best, but not bad.
Cameras - Ok. Not the best on the market but are decent
Crease- not a big deal, but bothers.
Trade-in value - DISASTER. You pay 1,800.00 + taxes for this phone and they just give you 1,000.00 for trade-in. In the contrary, you pay 1,200.00 for S22 U and they give you in trade-in 1,000.00
When you play the videos on the tablet mode the videos take 60% aprox of the screen the other 40% is black. If you want the whole screen it basically cuts the entire video to adjust it.
Not all the apps can be turn into landscape. The app of my bank when opens I need to flip the phone.
Versatility - out of this world
    Multitasking - REALLY good

I have one. The only way you can beat it is in the camera department with a Samsung Ultra or an iPhone pro. You can get an iPhone with a more powerful chip but that doesn't really matter. The standard iPhone 14 has the same chip as the 13 because Apple knows phones aren't taking advantage of it. I have a different Samsung case without the built-in S Pen and wobble can be a thing but if you tap lightly it isn't, the case I have is more even.

Same reason I'm going back to iPhone. The screen is absolutely amazing. But the Android apps just aren't there yet. The ones that don't support tablet modes are just blown up, and the ratios are sometimes off. Also the 1 or 2 games I played, it seems like the touch interactions were slightly off because of being blown up. I didn't want to force 4:3 or 16:9 on a huge screen, I'd rather just go back to a native screen like that.

I went for the s22 ultra. I am still upset that Samsung took away extendable storage but at the same time it’s a better well rounded phone I think. Plus it’s truly a note. Granted the note 20ultra is the last real note but. That design is perfection in my opinion. I had the fold 2 and 3, honestly the changes they’ve made from then to now are minor. Not worth upgrading to in my opinion. Maybe by the 5th or 6th iteration they be more appealing 🤷🏽‍♂️.

If they can make that other half of the screen detachable, then ot would be super good. But it should be done in a way without needing too much mechanical moving parts. If you want to carry it, you can do it detaching the extra screen and when at home, attach it for some extra space.
