Don't they always want to retract? I have a similar one snd and you're always having to pull it not recoil back into a circle. Which is unhelpful return when you're using it.

On CZcams instead of pinching you just swipe down to zoom out

Maybe its just me but its never better than an Ipad but always more expensive, if I want windows id just go got a regular laptop where I get better hardware for cheaper.

They need to keep DeX working the way we are used to. I mean, it is now widely available even in the midrange segment, and students and small businesses can take advantage of it (if they happen to us Galaxy Tab for their needs).

I think at this point stage manager and samsung split view is not even comparable, let alone samsung dex. Samsung is already have capability to have 3 apps open in split view, Am i using it a lot ? Nope maybe only 10% but if snapdragon 8 gen 2 is able to do that what make my ipad M2 chip not? Proper multitasking capability doesn’t make me abandon my laptop, all of my heavy duty job is still done in my laptop. Tablet at the end of the day is just tablet they never replace my laptop, just a good travel companion

Nice review. I opted for the Microsoft Surface Laptop (7) with the Snapdragon Plus (versus the elite). In short, I have found it to perfect my use case. That said, my use case for the Surface Laptop is confined to watching video, social media and general productivity apps. Everything I need works well. Performance for my use equals or exceeds a similarly configured Intel Core Ultra 7 plus the bonus of more than 15 hours of typical battery use. When I need 'tablet' functionality and better compatibility, I reach for my Samsung 13.3" Book3 2-in1. It gives me fantastic handwriting capability, surprisingly long battery life (about 8-9 hours). I was sad that Samsung discontinued the 13.3 form factor when they released their Book4 series. For heavy lifting with no compatibility issues, I use my HP X360 Specter. Perfect all around device for almost any use. Given the high price tag, I can't see the Microsoft Surface Pro as a good solution, particularly with the compatibility problems and comparatively limited battery life. There may be a better argument for the $999 Snapdragon Plus version, but even then there are just so many compromises over a traditional 2-in-1.

The keyboard and pen for this Surface, and also the same for IPad Pro are just absurd. More than 400 for a stylus and a keyboard? Nonsense. Besides that, real nice machine this new version with Snapdragon.

The next step for Microsoft Windows - a redesigned OS. Boom! Instantly more user friendly for tablets and PC. After that, Microsoft smartphones are coming back! But with much better implementation. I'm looking at a future where Microsoft, Apple, and Google each have complete ecosystems. And maybe even the arrival of new players in the market. 😌 Let's give them about 5 to 7 years. 😉

This cover design isn't appropriate for placing the tablet on the lap. This is the same problem I've seen people struggling with the Tab S9 Ultra. Also, it seems quite heavy considering its thickness and materials. I wonder if it wouldn't be better if Microsoft launched a Windows book instead of trying to put Windows inside the body of a "tablet".

Not sure if you know this, but there is an Android app that allows you to send and receive files via Windows native Nearby Share and it works like a charm.

If there's no hinge i don't want it, just a tablet with a keyboard option no thanks. A real laptop will stay up on it's own when sitting in your lap, hence the name.
