Easy to Make Bullet Shell Business Card Holders

- Do you need a cool display for your business card? Maybe you have a friend that needs one? These unique business card holders make great gifts and always sell in craft markets.
I make mine out of Red Oak and spent bullet casings. I use .223 and 40 cal shells but you can get creative and use what you have on hand. You can either repurpose your own spent shells or buy them online. I linked below where I get mine when I haven't been shooting in awhile and need casings.

Running that short block of wood past the bit using only your hands to hold it is asking for trouble. Good way to lost some fingers or have it kick off and take out a tooth or an eye.

I love the look of those things. Would routing the edges first make it easier to mark the spots for the shell casing holes? Then if you end up with tear-out to the point you have to trash the piece you wouldn't have invested all the time marking the lines and drilling the holes.
