Probably shouldn’t expect one in a mainline sonic game ever again, but good news is Netflix funded a chao garden game for the service along side the mania port which both are coming in 2024

For what makes it better, it’s the fact that this Sonic & Shadow game will be released closely to Sonic Movie 3’s release date.
So, I say this is a clever marketing idea for Sega promoting Shadow for the new game.
As Paramount will do the same with Shadow for Sonic Movie 3.
I hope the original Sonic Generations on Steam doesn't get taken down and replaced with this one because there's some great mods with that one.
And Jim Carrey coming back as Eggman for Sonic 3.
Gearbox should take notes, we getting a Duke Nukem movie after years of nothing being done with the character save an evercade collection and supposedly still no plans for more games to tie into the movie
6:10 Generations has a feature that lets you play whatever music you unlock in the Extras section on whatever stage you want. Live and Learn is on the list, and I think this feature goes for boss fights too.

i know shadow the hedgehog isn't liked that much by fans but i actually liked it better than sonic heroes. it was the final game that closed out the sonic adventure arc and we got answers about what happened to shadow at the end of adventure 2 and his origin.
What are you talking about? Most fans like Shadow, to the point they want him in Superstars or have a Classic version of him, idk you tell you that, but that is a false claim.

Seems my Sonic hyperfixation kicked in just in time. Generations was such a fun game, I'm excited to play a remaster with new content.
The way they recreate the original trailer but have Shadow interrupt it is insane.
Feels like they did something similar with the last two movies. After Sonic 1 was released, they made Colors Ultimate to bring in new fans who came from the movie (complete with cosmetics inspired by the movie), and after Sonic 2, they released Origins which retold the stories of classic games including Sonic 2 and 3 & Knuckles (stories that were adapted in the theatrical sequel).
It introduces Shadow To New Fans,gives a Really neat explanation to his backstory,and Prepares us for the Third Movie,this was actually not needed but its Reaaally Great that they did

Not only did they finally go back into shadows story and we might get to see maria get shot for a whopping 5 times as of this year, they did something they should have done in 2011, ADD MORE LEVELS!
Having Sonic Generations remastered/expanded is great news so long as it doesn’t have any issues like previous Sonic reissues have had.

Being a Silver the hedgehog fan is becoming a long rough road now it seems. I shall keep waiting for my boy to get more appreciation in games. The comics are nice but it's starting to seem like thats the only medium that still remembers he is character and not just a cameo.

That's why the Mario cartoon worked so well! We had great games on the NES and that. It was perfect. Synergy is a great thing.

I am so excited for this. Sonic Generations was my first 3D/modern Sonic era game. When I was 11, my brother gave me his iPhone 3gs when he got the iPhone 4 and he downloaded the Sonic 1 and 2 ports on there. Those were my first sonic games as I grew up a PlayStation loyalist and I missed the release of Sonic 06 lol. Then I got sonic generations for my birthday when it came out. Thankfully they released the Adventure ports to the PS3 as well so I was able to grow up on those too. Good memories.

movie/game cross-promotion has been around for a while. Once I saw the trailer for Sonic X Shadow Generations, I was confused as all hell but then realized the Sonic 3 film is coming out this year, it makes perfect sense! However, like anything else, it's good to be weary of whether this remaster will be decent. I'm saying this due to the Sonic Colors remaster, the original Sonic Colors I enjoyed very much, not being up to snuff and having a lot of problems when it came out. I did get Sonic Colors Ultimate and did enjoy my playtime but I can understand the hesitation when it comes to Sega and remasters.
Anyway, great vid! Rambling thought vids are cool. I tend to stutter way too much when I try to speak but you've done this for a while so you know what you're doing. Keep up the good work!
People whose first Sonic game was a 3d Sonic game had a bad childhood
Technically, Marvel has been making these “Marvel-verse” collected editions that serve as compilations of different comic stories tied to different Marvel characters (e.g. Capt Marvel, Loki, Spider-Gwen, She-Hulk, etc.). DC have also done something similar with new versions of collected editions that have covers based on or inspired by recent DC movies (e.g. WW84, Aquaman, Black Adam, Birds of Prey), as well as one-shot comics or miniseries that directly tie into upcoming movies.

I never played the original Sonic Generations game, so this remake will be my first chance and I'm totally convinced to get it when it releases. Of Shadow songs for Sonic 3 (I'm so hyped to watch that movie!) Live and learn is the most important one, because a whole worldwide demand exists online from almost every Sonic fan who enjoys it and knows that it's Sonic Adventure 2's main theme song along with the fact that the third movie will be loosely based on that game. Those people are trying to do what was done to make Paramount change the wierd design they had for Sonic in the first trailer of the first movie, to get that hit song to be in the third one! I'm one of the people who very much enjoys that song and wants it to be in Sonic 3, and no doubt that that studio would definitely get heavily criticized by lots of people if it isn't.

Sonic team is COOKING this year!
First, Shadow the Hedgehog is a branching path game. Depending on how you clear a level, it opens up another path leading to a unique ending.
Second, the soundtrack is amazing, and wild.
Third, lots of feels surprisingly. Especially after Sonic Adventure 2. The journey goes through some dark places
In regards to Sonic X Shadow Generations: I love it already

Fun note: my friends Julien-K were part of the original Shadow the Hedgehog game soundtrack, and worked on Generations (as Circuit Freq). Plus the 2007 Transformers film with "Technical Difficulties". +Collaborated with LP throughout the films.

See the sad part is that afik - everything from Sonic Heroes up to Sonic 06 has never been ported so you'd actually have to get them on original hardware (or emulate them) I genuinely thought Sega was trying to forget that era ever happened so this is a very pleasant surprise

I've played Sonic Generations, it was the third Sonic game I've played, so exhilarating enough to make me love the Sonic franchise, next to Sonic Adventure 2 battle on GameCube and Sonic heroes (I thinking it's the fourth because I remember playing Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast at my cousin's house but I didn't really noticed at the time)

Fingers crossed this game comes out with little technical issues. I still have my old Xbox copy to go back to, but I would like to experience the new stuff in the remaster.
