Actually I think the glowing eye thing is a reference to chaos blast, in the original shadow the hedgehog game, when you had enough negative actions (attacks GUN soldiers, breaking supply crates, ECT) you would gain the chaos blast ability temporarily.
Pressing triangle would result in an immediate chaos blast, followed by a period of invincibility where you could perform more chaos blasts.
The hero power up was better 😳🤣

If you slow down at 0:55, Shadow uses Chaos Spear. So, with teleportation, that's at least 2 abilities Shadow has in the game.

They’re actually making shadow play differently from sonic
Chaos spear isn't new, neither is the teleporting, but it looks like the teleporting is going to be a stand in for homing attacks.

Chaos Spear hasn't been an actual move you can use in a game since 2006. It hasn't been used by Shadow in a game since his Gens Rival Fight. His Chaos Control Teleport was only half-used for 3 seconds in a cutscene in Forces.
It'd just be nice to see Shadow's really cool unique Chaos abilities actually be used for once.
@@kamanira Yeah, but it says "Never before seen powers and abilities" and I find it odd that this would be considered that, you can only fit so many buttons on a controller, unless they're going to add a combo system like in Frontiers.
I'm personally hoping that SEGA isn't referring to Chaos spear, Teleport, Chaos Blast, and Chaos Control as "Never before seen powers and abilities"
By the way, Chaos Spear was also used in the final boss battle of shadow the hedgehog, where super shadow would use it to fight black doom.
Also Chaos spear was in the multi player version of Sonic Adventure 2 (on the ps3 port at least)
Also, The Teleporting ability was in Shadow the Hedgehog as well, during a few cut scenes, and I think the intro trailer.
I'm just Hoping SEGA doesn't pull any punches or try to play off old abilities as abilities that haven't already been established. And honestly, I'm not sure what else they could do with him beyond some sort of duplication or chain damage effect power. Because everything else is kinda covered by his Super form. Think about it.
He has
Just about anything Sonic can do (super speed, boosting, ECT)
Chaos control. (Stopping time)
Chaos spear. (A Projectile)
Chaos blast. (An energy explosion)
Teleporting somewhat short distances
Flight (in super form)
Invincibility (in super form)
And when he takes his inhibitor rings off, he's limited only by his own burnout.
Seriously, what more could they give him? The ability to transform other objects? Something a trail that stays in his wake and damages opponents that touch it like a tron thing?

They really cooked with this. And since we getting some new levels, some Shadow levels, you know what that means... Epic music boiz. Cannot wait for this
My guess is after Shadow's rival battle mid-way through the game they insert another three Zones in-between Crisis City and Seaside Hill and those levels basically become mandatory for story progression. The story will remain the same with either minor or no additional cutscenes outside the Shadow-centric ones (most likely those non-voice acted text boxes and bubbles) and at that point Shad will also become playable for all Modern levels and ending.

Oh my gosh this trailer is insane and when saw the same things from the original game I was like wait what then when I saw Shadow I was jumping out of my seat. The animation for Shadow looks sick and the combat looks incredible. I just don’t like how we have to wait until autumn. I can’t wait to see old levels for Shadow and old boss fights that I miss so much.
Sonic Generations is definitely the side show here, even if it’s the actual full length game, Shadows story is going to be the star of this game

Y’all, we got the Chaos Snap homing attack in Shadow Generations! They was watching P-06 with the chaos control effects during his chaos boost
Chaos Snap is the teleporting move that he using. He also used Chaos Spear against bio lizard.

Im definitly okay with the game coming out in Autumn, because it gives Sega and Sonic Team 7 more months to work on the game to make it as good as possible! This trailer was INSANE!!!
So they basically made Shadow the Hedgehog 2 but it comes with Sonic Generations as all we can see I have no clue if those 2 Sonic’s make an appearance in the background or something but I’m so HYPED!!!!

I'm so hyped, ngl, Sonic Generations is the first sonic game I ever played in my life, and I'm so happy to see they're remastering it! I'm so excited!!
Also, I think it would be interesting to see the dropdash being added to the classic sonic levels. It's very possible, or they might not add it.
There's just a bit of the frontiers jank with the levels, but it looks pretty good. Still wish they brought over the 3ds stages though.

Sonic generation was my first sonic game I’m hype
I mean, Generations was already my favorite Sonic game. My only gripe with it was that I couldn't play as Shadow, and not only did they make him playable but he has his own campaign I can't wait. Oh and 4K is sick too, and I imagine we'll have hdr as well.

I've never actually experienced the HD version of Generations before, so this is a great opportunity, and that's an understatement, considering how well the original was received.
I have a little theory
What if they are trying to get used to putting shadow on 3d/2d levels so when they create another sonic adventure they know what kind of abilities to put on each character like Amy , tails, knuckles, shadow, and etc

This could be SO FREAKING INTERESTING. Since they're acknowledging the original, shadow the hedgehog game, there's the possibility of differing endings, or maybe they'll have shadow run through alternate timelines that came as a result of the different endings in the shadow the hedgehog game. For example: In shadow the hedgehog, Shadow can.
Assassinate a world leader, save the world, destroy the world, become the new ruler of the android empire with Omega at his side, or he can just be a petty piece of crap that just wants to watch Sonic fall.
Maybe this is a timeline related thing and he's going to have to fix events in different timelines to unify them or something, or maybe he'll have to fight another version of himself.
They need to use the generations engine for future game
