The ones who fought the waves of constipated beasts in the floor 12 abyss know that 40k can be ridiculously low. And that you can have to dodge even with a 60k Zhongli on your team.
What about 80k Zhongli?

@@tiziocaio5112even c4 yelan will only give 40% extra hp which can bring upto 70k, 80k is just not possible until they release a nilou wp for polearm
My Zhongli is just a shield bot with 56k HP, goes up to over 60k with two Hydro characters.
As a John Lee main for more than 2 years, I can say that 35 is enough for normal domains while 44k is good for ADZHIDSCSAJ the toitoi and EI weekly boss without healer. I'm not sure for abyss but my papa is around 37k and its still good. A balance between HP and ER would be better for an all-round papa

If you want your Zhongli to deal some damage and still be a shielder, you’ll need approximately 35k hp. Mine is 34k hp, 2000 atk and 50/240 physical. Just perfect unit for everything
For xiao is just shield bot or half damage?
@@zaxx_ depends on how much you like Zhongli. Even though Xiao is my main dps, I made Zhongli into half damage so that I could main him most of the time. (Hope I understood what you meant…)

What constellation is your zhongli at? You should have also said that.
For the 5 Ruin Guards you will need arround +60K so the shield don’t break.
And considering talent lvl10.
With 56K the rockets of the last ruin guard break the shield and damage Zhongli
45k is enough already, if u guys manage to get 50k with only favonius lance then ur artifacts is god tier.

Umm, I have 54K, but I do use Black Tassel
i have 51k black tassel but petra set
I have 45k with homa and a 4* goblet
i have 60k at lvl 70
geo resonance and tenacity would increase shield strength by an additional 45% furthermore damage mitigation sources like xing and beidou work for additional shield strength using it on a high defense character like noelle or itto would also increase the shield strength making you virtually unkillable.
Im pretty sure he didnt build 3 different zhonglis off set

I run him as a sub dps now but used to be main dps back in the day. Love his design so much. His current build is:
2pc Gladiator 2pc Tenacity
HP/Geo Dmg/ CR
33k HP, 1875 Atk, 50 CR, 193 CD
Talents 10/10/10
Havent run into any issues with the shield tbh and landing a 100k damage meteor every now and then is just too good 😂
I usually use him on mono geo teams or with Xiao (second fav design).
how do i make my zhongli do 100k meteor dmg? lmao mine does like 12-14k or even 7k

@@ItsYou195No, most Abyss bosses actually do even less damage tbh. And it's not like you will be deliberately standing still so that all attacks hit you. Even if you just attack, you might dodge most attacks. I use 54K HP Zhongli, and I don't even remember when was the last time his shield broke.
P.S. 40k is low tho, one should have atleast above 45K.
I have prepared 2 sets - One for double hydro teams and other for anemo hypercarries.
For the first type, I'm using a full Archaic Petra set and with hydro resonance, my HP is 58025.
For the second type, I'm using 2 piece Tenacity and 2 piece Vorukasha's Glow combo and my HP (without hydro resonance ofcourse) is 60222. I'm not using a full Tenacity here because I have C6 Faruzan and she's better unit to equip full Tenacity set.
Plus, my Zhongli is level 89, so it is possible to increase his HP, but just a bit.

I have a question here. Does Tenacity Shield strength buff other character's Shield from zhongli ? Or does the shield strength only work on zhongli

@@Fielith Hi! Yes, the Tenacity's shield strength and attack buff applies to all the members of the party.
Now regarding my Zhongli's teams, I'm assuming you're asking about the abyss, because in the open world, my teams are just random and mostly have no synergy.
For abyss, I use my Zhongli on 2 pieces of Tenacity and Vorukasha for hypercarry Wanderer and hypercarry Xiao teams with Faruzan and Bennett. My Faruzan is C6 and she equips full set of Tenacity as she procs its attack buff more efficiently.
Another team is use with Zhongli in abyss is with double hydro. Here, my Zhongli is on full Archaic Petra set to give 35% (hydro) damage bonus to my Xingqui and Yelan. As for the on field carry in this team, I use Diluc, Wanderer and Raiden mostly depending on the scenario.

I think going 60k HP Zhongli is wasted (except Abyss). I have mine at 35k HP with 2x Glad + 2x Tenacity with the BP polearm at R1.
He does decent damage already with burst reaching 70-75k, more if it crits. No food or team buff. Probably just my artifacts though. 😁😁

I've been using zhongli with 51 crit rate 100 crit dmg with black tassel 4pc Tenacity of mil crown in the shield, and now i have 30k dmg on ult and a Really Good shield.
The key is equilibrium.

@@powerreze Yeah that works for pale flame set for sands and circlet HP with crit rate/dmg, atk, substats. Meanwhile the goblet physical dmg bonus with hp, crit rate/dmg substats.

@@powerreze for me I'll play him as a physical dps soon so that I won't get bored of him. Shieldbot Zhongli is OP but it's boring to me swap and hold to apply his thick shield that's it until boredom it's not my style I'd rather have fun.

with 35~40k you can have decent shield and some nice geo dmg with a hybrid build (sub-dps shielder)

Hybrid always is good because even with 40k hp it's very rare to see zhongli shield break

given the point and fact, that no player udner normal circumstances is to dumb to just stand around and eat an enemys strongest attack for every hit, but usually normally naturally dodges attacks, moves around so does positioning, 40k is absolutely enough, anything else would require anyways also being a whale with Staff of Homa on... there are even such crazy thigns possible, like a 100k zhomgli, that ive seen today... totally crazy.. awesoem maybe if the only thign you use Zhongli for is his shield and burst just for raw base damage and best shield endurance.. but from a DPS perfective, such a build absolutely cant have good crit values, if you put absolutely everythign into Hp only, lesser HP for having instead good CR/CD values is much better on him, than having only astronomicalyl high HP, because most trash mobs dont deal nearly as much damage at all ever, than this boss does in this test video.

More like no one gonna pull for zhongli if they still have to dodge in the end of the day... Players pull zhongli to achieve a comfortable gameplay where they don't have to dodge every second meanwhile dodging also consumes time which leads to dps loss
"Because most trash mobs don't deal much dmg" Bruh..abyss enemies deal way more dmg than any open world bosses so don't think that the enemy shown in video is doing the strongest attack lol even abyss enemies are made to deal reaction dmg like melt and vape...
Maybe you never did abyss floor 12 before most of the enemies in abyss deal like 12k to 20k dmg easily which is more than enough to kill any squishy character..

My 4k Noelle is more durable than my 55k zhongli by a lot. But her CD is making her mid
Use that one sword that has 40% chance to reset cooldown, that makes her OP (and i have that in refinement rank 3, i never run out of shields)
Zhongli Shield works for everyone though, Noelle shield is gonna be weak on anyone except Noelle (or another defense scaler) cuz her high defense is reducing damage to the shield.
Zhongli Shield would last even longer on Noelle.
Def shield doesn’t work on anyone but Noelle so it’s useless
