    You can pretty much say goodbye to other suspension training straps out there because the Recoil S2 suspension straps are on a league of their own.
    After using these I wouldn’t call them a TRX alternative, I’d say the TRX straps have been left behind.
    The Recoil S2 Pro straps are premium quality.
    From the moment I opened the box, everything from the packaging to the product itself, is high quality.
    You can tell the company spent a lot of time and money on this quality product.
    The suspension straps are (X) inches wide and can hold over 300 lbs!
    ==========
    Recoil System
    ==========
    The recoil system sets these suspension straps apart from all others out there including the TRX.
    With one push of a button, the straps unlock and you can set them to any length you want (up to 6 feet of straps).
    When you release the button the straps automatically lock in place.
    Both straps release so they always maintain the same length without having to try to even both out individually.
    This saves time between exercises and ensures that both sides of your body are working out equally.
    Once you’re done with your exercises, press the same button and the suspension straps retract all the way so there is nothing left hanging.
    ==========
    Mounting Options
    ==========
    There are 3 ways to mount the Recoil S2 system depending on what version you purchase.
    Recoil S2 Pro comes with a door mount which also doubles as a travel bag, a lashing strap to wrap around pull up bars, trees, or beams, and a ceiling/wall mount.
    The lashing strap becomes the shoulder strap and you can throw the whole S2 system inside the bag.
    The Recoil S2 Gym version comes with the ceiling/wall mount and lashing strap (no door mount). The hardware for the ceiling/wall mount is not included, however, they give you instructions on what you need to get from your local hardware store.
    The Recoil S2 Home version comes with the door mount and lashing strap (no wall/ceiling mount).
    The Recoil S2 version come with a lashing strap only.
    (Show different versions: Add each addition one by one)
    ==========
    Recoil S2 vs TRX Suspension Straps
    ==========
    When comparing the Recoil S2 vs the TRX suspension straps, the Recoil S2 has innovated to come out on top.
    Recoil S2 makes adjusting the straps a cinch. You can adjust both at the same time in a second vs TRX which you have to adjust each strap manually through a buckle.
    Recoil S2 keeps everything neat as both straps recoil out of sight. With the TRX you have straps hanging all the time.
    Recoil S2 straps are always evenly adjusted. With the TRX you have room for error and you may end up with uneven lengths on the bands.
    ==========

    Ended up getting the Recoil S2 Home as a result of this excellent & thorough review. At first I thought I'd made a mistake - it is a very expensive product after all. Once I used it though those doubts left. It's so much easier & more straightforward to use & set up than the TRX or rings (though I love both). This is especially the case with any exercises where you are on the ground with feet in straps -pikes, hamstring curls, hip raises & the like. I also love that I'm able to do chin-ups, L-sits & dips (can't do on TRX & much more difficult with rings). All in all, thank you for this amazing & very thorough & truthful (what a welcome change from the usual product 'reviews' one encounters!) review on the Recoil S2 Suspension System. It'll make me look more at some of your other reviews (like Inertia Wave). Keep the good stuff coming!

    Recoil S2 shits on everything else in the market. Costs more sure but just a superior product. I have had mine for a couple of years and used it plenty, its still like new. Worth every cent.

      For sure. Best suspension trainer out there. Version two has adjustable handles so they fit snug on your feet

      You're welcome. It's a great product and the recoil mechanism makes it effortless to switch from one exercise to the other

    One thing I think it's missing is that the play in the trx is on purpose to make it more unstable when doing core exercises. TRX and could just be fixed bands, but they intentionally added that little bit of play.
    I wonder how these are going to hold up over time, doesn't seem like there are many or any long term reviews.

      The Recoil S2 is built with a seatbelt like material so as far as durability goes, I'm sure it will last a while.
      I use it often and still looks brand new after 6 months.
      It also adds a lot of instability because it allows for some rotation.
      Watch this video where I'm doing L sits and you can see it start to rotate instagram.com/p/CDv9wUrDoVS/?igshid=1k87pkm87rccy

      That carries over to...absolutely nothing. It's like squatting on a bosuball, you will get better at squatting on a bosuball and that's it.
      Train with a similar stability to what you want to get better at, for most of us that means training on a stable floor since we are land animals after all.
      This myth that the more unstable the ground, the more strength or muscle gains is absurd since you are sacrificing load for instability.
      This is an overly simplistic explenation, there's a lot to say about this, the scientific term is dynamic correspondence.

      That's a good idea. Hadn't thought about that although i do have it hanging from the ceiling and can do a lot of things from there including facepulls with my bodyweight.
      I do like the portability and versatility it has. It's one of my favorite pieces of equipment I own.
      I use almost daily whether it's doing bodyweight exercises or just using it to stretch.

      @@ShreddedDad I love pull-ups, push-ups and dips. I am 55 and got started seriously working out about a month and a half ago. My friends say I work out to much. In your opinion if the main focus of my workout is pull-ups and push-ups. With some dumbbell: curls, tricep extensions, lateral raises and reverse flys for the rear delts. My workouts are about 40-50 minutes going at it hard and to or near failure. How often can I do that?
