If this man doesn't make you want to be a better American, than I don't know what will... I was truly entranced by his story telling. His military recollection is spot on. As a former Infantryman myself, (Desert Storm Vet) I get the things that he says. His revelation to God is just...inspiring. "The Lord knows I'm thinkheaded." What an amazing family story. Very well produced. God is good.

Thank you for your background and history. I understand the hard work and devotion, I was 55 when I started my business two years ago. I also thank God everyday for my blessings. I have run into the same issue with getting a steer processed this year. I took what I could get and l had a cold hanging weight of 576 pounds according to the butcher. I ask for very minimum burger and ended up with 165 pounds of steaks and misc cutts and 220 pounds of burger. So with that said I will be using your video next fall to process my own beef. Im going to try and get a hanging cooler built over the summer. Because I am a loyal watcher of your videos and I tell everyone to watch them, I now think a couple of my buddies are willing to try processing their own beef. You guys are an inspiration to me and a lot of my friends. Keep up the good work and God bless you all.

Y’all need to make a series on the history of your family’s brands. It’s 0215 here in Germany and I have to wake up in 5 hrs to get ready for church. I was glued to this entire video. Not sure how awake I’ll be at church, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching ever second of this video. I subscribed in the late spring of last year while waiting to be cleared to move to Germany for the USAF and have enjoyed watching y’all teach how to butcher animals and the different cuts and ideas of cooking meats. I definitely have been inspired by watching your videos here on CZcams. Keep up the good work and I hope to come check out the store when I move back to the states.

It is extremely rare to find a family that is as tight knot as yours and I’m sure it is so wonderful especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
I do have a question also. As I was listening I couldn’t help but wonder if y’all have ever tried Bison bacon? I just thought about it when you were saying how good the taste of bison was. The story of the brothers father being wounded in an ambush in Vietnam was so vivid and really touched me because my older brother was killed in an ambush in Nam almost exactly the same way and by the stupidity of a inexperienced Marine Corps lieutenant who had no sense . So as I watched I couldn’t help but reflect on those years and the fact he was wounded in his ninth month of his tour as was my brother KIA in his ninth and he too was a hardcore biker as well. Rick, his name didn’t make it but thank goodness the father of these great men survived and built this awesome business with his sons and his faith.

I grew up in Marshallville Ohio and lived just up the street from The Marshallville Meat Market and can really understand where you come from about how hard it is to be a butcher. I used to see the Tucker boys drag butt at the end of the day. Glad I stayed in the concrete and masonry trade becuse I couldn't of did the long hard days of butchering. Just doing my own hogs, deer and elk is more than I can handle and this year I plan on doing my own chickens from chick's to harvest. (Sorry so long but) I was cleaning the kitchen late after waking up from dozing off watch BBB! I didn’t know what I was hearing but the brothers weren’t cutting meat anymore. Well once I came in I see this man in a rocking chair, recounting life. I couldn’t stop watching. Reminds (I’m at that part where he said I poured my heart out the LORD.) sitting listening to my Papa tell me stories. We need THIS! This is what will heal our land…. If we who are called by His name would humble ourselves and pray turn from our wicked ways and seek His face HE will hear us from heaven forgive us our sin and heal our land. Did you catch what happened with the stray voltage how’d they find the solution…. Thank you so so much for this! Y’all keep on keeping on! By the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony!

As I watch this; for the second time today because my husband and I wanted our adult son to see it, I need to tell you what I told them. You and your children are blessed for many reasons. The one I am referring to right not is that you all have a wonderful recording of your family story. My father and father-in-law were WW-II Veterans, my brother was a Vietnam Veteran, and my husband spent 26 years in the Army National Guard. We don’t have their military stories, or many of their childhood stories. I hope all of you will enjoy this as much as the rest of us have. Thank you so much! From your Canton, Ohio neighbor.

What a great video!! Mr. Perkins thank you for your service and sacrifice for this great nation! I became a subscriber to the Bearded Butchers CZcams channel right after I purchased my first smoker (Traeger) while looking for tips and tricks for smoking meat. I think I have watched every video and some numerous times. I'm about 90 miles away and plan on making a trip to your shop to purchase some seasonings & spices. Thanks for all the great videos!!!

Okay guys. Wow! The last thing I thought I would be doing on this Mothers Day was spending two hours watching a CZcams video. I had just wrapped up having my own little church service this morning with Tali girl. I picked up my phone to respond to a couple of comments made on my channel when somehow this video came across my feed. I don’t even remember clicking the play button. The next thing I knew. There was your Dad sitting at the table. The first thing I noticed was the Bible setting there. It looked so much like my own well worn and tattered Bible. Then I began to listen. I suspect your Dad and I are pretty close to the same age. I am coming up on 72. The more I watched, the more I was drawn into the story. I thought I would just watch the rest later because I had my own editing to do before I headed out to cook Mothers Day dinner for my nearly 95 year young Mom. But I couldn’t stop watching your history. All I have to say at this point is this is perhaps the most inspiring story I have ever heard told here on CZcams! I was also especially appreciative of the fact that all of you proudly and profoundly proclaimed your faith in our Lord God Almighty and the redemption found at the foot of the Cross. Your success has been born out of hard work, determination, and true grit no doubt. But I know, you know that it was Devine inspiration and blessing that has brought it all together. Thank You All so much for what you do! I am so happy I have found your channel and have met the Perkins family here on CZcams! May God continue to Bless you all!

I’m Not a big spice guy I only use salt and cayenne pepper but I’m going to give the bearded butcher spice a try to support this great family Business hopefully the third generation will appreciate the hard work that went into this family Business and carry on.

Thank you for sharing this. Loved hearing old heads (your dad) talk about the old days.
Also big big thanks to you all for the instructional videos. I watched a few channels when I started hunting 2 years ago but your super in depth butcher videos helped me basically self teach (with a little guidance from a friend) myself how to completely butcher my kills. I have never brought a kill to a butcher still to this day.

To the person who referred to Freddie’s answer from God as a “fairy tale”, make no mistake, it was no fairy tale! The event was witnessed by his best friend and truly a direct answer from the Lord to Freddie’s prayer! The evidence is a changed and repentant life, and I should know, I am his wife! I pray you seek the Lord while He may be found, because Jesus Christ is the only way, the truth and the life; He is the only way to God! Acts 4:12 🕊
