I think one big aspect about Jon's comedy is how brutally honest he is about himself. It show a lot of long, introspective nights...likely spent absent-mindedly holding an empty glass

Such an honest appraisal of a lot of people. Doing things to make you look good rather than for the good of others.
I’ve got it worse. I decided I didn’t want to be like that, so I decided I was only gonna do things that were actually good, and never for the rep.
Then proceeded to suppress all knowledge of my desire for being seen doing good things, and became a monster who thinks he’s good.
Now I’m trying to just embrace the fact I want people to see me doing good things. I think it’s healthier than just adding another layer of acting.

"I do good things so that people see me do them, and like me more" Coming from an animal rescue pov, I love knowing that the animals I've helped re-home bring so much love and joy to the people that adopt them. Fuck knows who I am yet I know the pups I get out of ditches are going to bring some sort of happiness to someone some time ay :v

The way I see it is the people who are helped by those good deeds don't give a shit why you're doing it so don't let it bother you. Do you think the people being helped by charities are going to turn down the help because the person who donated money only did it to look good?

Jon and Lucy are made for each other the banter in the home must be magic. The pair are so funny. My wife reckons apparently I’m like Jon. Think it must be the comments I make round the kitchen. 😂 I’ll have to keep up with the training in the kitchen.
They have a show about their life. Jon and Lucy couldn't be more different from one another. She reminds me a bit of how Sharon Osbourne has been keeping her family together for so long. Mind you Jon is nothing like Ozzy. Jon is the embodiment of every old grumpy British men that ever existed. Lucy, is cute has a button.
You gotta put in another 2 pounds after you lose the first pound to charity, that way people still see you doing it ;)

Dont worry john both of us have OCD or as I call it do things in the proper order and keep things in the right place. We have normal boys and we're locked out of their rooms and they call us batshit crazy so we didnt ruin them
