- Welcome to the breakdown where we breakdown all the messed-up movies. Today we are talking about a dramatization of the murder spree of serial killer Ted Bundy. The victims are all named differently, but for clarification at times the real names are given. This film is available on Tubi and CZcams. If you want to see what happens, including all the messed-up parts, stay tuned for the breakdown.

My favorite part of your breakdowns is the compassion and empathy you show to the victims without glorifying anything even whether it's a story or real life
Props to him, for being a great analyst too
That’s the reason I fell in love with this channel, He’s able to appreciate the brutality without ever breaking the illusion of how terrible it is. He’s a very entertaining but also thoughtful commentator!
@@shelbysolano9774 the “illusion” of how terrible? It’s no illusion. It IS terrible.
😴
Absolutely agree. You can tell Spooky was brought up to be a well adjusted respectful young man. I honestly wish him all the success in the world!
I really appreciate that you told us who each character was based on, it reminds us that these things actually happened which makes it all the more disturbing
Frfr
I was just going to comment this. It brings back their humanity.
In my channel I also comment on this case. If you are interested and want to check it out.
@@jeanm.3722 I love your channel! I've been a subscriber of yours for months. Do you have any more rare photos of Robert Piest?
That woman he slept with in prison was Carole Boone, who fell in love with him and thought him innocent. He even called her as a character witness in court when he represented himself and asked her to marry him while questioning her! She's got a daughter who I hope is living a full, happy life
Thanks for information!
You're welcome 😊
When she found out he was guilty she left him and refused to ever contact him again
From what people can tell his daughter Rose is nothing like him
@@kairiisawesome3341late and I don't want to be weird but have there ever been any interviews with Rose
@@jadenbryant9283 no but according to Bundy's ex girlfriend Liz she's doing fine
You'd be shocked and disappointed as to why Preteens, today, admire him as a Creepypasta boyfriend
It's frustratingly cringe
Reminds me of Jeff the Killer
@@kidflasher Ted bundy as a creepypasta? When did that happen,
Personally I see no problem with Jeff the killer 1 he's not real and too they'll probably grow out of it,he's fictional.
But, Ted bundy that shits weird considering he was a REAL serial killer.
@@brezzychill2424 it's still weird to thirst over serial killers, real or not
Omgg facts and they are actually now sexualizing richard ramirez by making thirst trap edits of him
@@girls_like_us2650 Lmfao don't they realize that he had awful hygiene? Mans literally smelled so bad that his dentist had to take breaks during his visit because of how awful he smelled.
10:13 I believe that woman is based off of his wife Carole Boone, she believed he was innocent of all his crimes and actually ended up having a child with him
Yep, you're right
Yeah I think she knew him for years
but base on some accounts that woman was a random woman who she saw bundy on the news and was amazed and got attracted to bundy. she made ways to contact him inside the jail with letters i think, on which caught bundy's attention and it ended with them getting together after, and yes they had a child together.
imagine being the son/daughter of ted bundy...
@@hisfavworstnightmare i feel bad for that chilid
As someone that goes to FSU, almost every year someone new brings up the sorority house that he attacked. And it just reminds everyone to be a little more careful around the school and town
Is the Sorority house still used? Can only imagine how unsettling it would be.

I LITERALLY JUST WATCH THIS MOVIE THE OTHER DAY!!! There’s 3 movies made by the same director!!! One about John Gacy and one about Dahmer!!! Jeremy Renner plays Dahmer!!
the dahmer one is actually good, i’d say better than this one
@@sinnsage me too! I liked it way, way more
Me two days ago on Netflix. The one with Zac Efron.
@UK in the US, using the word “literally” for *literally* everything is common to the point of ubiquity. for grammar nerds like myself it’s maddening but it will also drive you crazy trying to correct people on the internet. i tried for many years before i realized it was utterly futile.
Idk where you got your info from because all of these movies were directed by different directors.
Not so fun fact but how spooky mentioned that Ted didn’t know the day of his execution, that’s actually how death row works in Japan, bc the idea is that their victims didn’t know their last day therefore neither will their killer
Thats a good idea
I must say, Spooky Rice, you are very empathetic to what Bundy's victims went thru. U r a good guy, Spooky.
He sure is
Bless this movie for not making the serial killer conventionally attractive
*cough* American Horror Story *cough*
For once they actually should have. That was a big part of ted bundy.
Right
He really wasn’t attractive. By 70s standard yes, but using men that fit the 21st century beauty standards is a bit too much
@@illogicalgarage8641 Bundy's personality was attractive. His face tho, nah.
@@kyaschafer7357 that's your opinion, literally everyone else disagrees. Hundreds of fan mail for a reason
the fact that dude killed most of his victims in broad daylight & open areas is insane
I actually had a boyfriend a few years back who reminds me a lot of the way ted treats lee in this movie; he was never full on abusive but he’d get extremely rough, ask me for disturbing things in bed like wanting to cut me with his pocket knife or put cigarettes out on me, push my boundaries when he thought he could get away with it, and tho he never directly threatened me he would say that people who made him mad “deserved to be hurt”. The reason he never full on hurt me was bc he knew everyone would know it was him if he did, and the reason I stayed with him as long as I did was I knew if I left him there was a good chance he would hurt me. I basically waited for him to get bored with me then moved to a new town, started going by a different name, and bought a gun. I also warned other people who knew him the kind of person he was and check the news every once in a while bc I fully expect him to wind up being a serial killer.
That’s absolutely horrific I’m so sorry you had to go through that, and I’m so glad you made it out of that situation safe… that guy sounds like a maniac
If you haven't already covered them, you should check out "Dear Mr. Gacy," "Karla," "My Friend Dahmer" and "Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil and Vile."
I second this, especially for Dear Mr Gacy, that movie is something else
Yes!! Those are great choices.
I heard Dear Mr Gacy is extremely fucked up.
@@MsCassidy23 very fucked
My friend dahmer wasn’t that good
Hey spookyrice it’s me again,
I really appreciate the care and sensitivity you put into this conversation of this very real and horrific situation you can clearly hear it in your voice. Compared with the last video, which could be silly to some degree.
This is completely different and as a fellow student I get the fear (how many time I have walked w woman I do not know and never knew to their car with me in order to not be attacked)
Thank you for the care, for not making a pony show of REAL people’s death. We appreciate your empathy and care.
Hey Spooky, long time fan here. For quite awhile now you've seemed much less happy in general, I don't know whether it's the videos you make or if it's life in general. I saw you posted a video about your anxiety but never got a chance to watch it before you took it down. I just really want you to know, as someone with depression and severe anxiety, I may not be going through exactly what you are, but I do understand. Just remember to take care of yourself first, your health and happiness are more important than any content you create or sponsors you try to receive. You are loved, important, and valid, and whatever is going on, I, and I'm sure many others, are here for you. If this type of content no longer makes you happy to produce, or something else in your life is stressing you that you feel you're forcing on yourself, don't. Don't force yourself for anyone, you don't owe anyone anything, especially not at the expense of your happiness. I truly mean this when I say it, please take care of yourself. Stay hydrated, eat regularly, take breaks and rest whenever you need to. You are loved. You are important. You are valid. You do you, and whatever that is that makes you happy, you'll have all the world behind you to support you. Take care of yourself, friend.
Sickens me that some girls romanticized him primarily due to the netflix documentary.
Women or girls have always romanticized him before Netflix. A lot of them have a fascination with serial killers that can’t really be explained.
He's been romantisized since they caught him, a lot of women at the time found him incredibly attractive and defended him despite his disgusting acts.
@@serenacelestine He wasn’t even cute
They were doing that wayyyyy before that though, like even while Bundy was still alive during his trial

The other day, my coworkers and I were discussing Bundy and one of them called him an "idiot who got lucky." I have to agree.
Damn, that "nice guy" kill was so realistic. I remember watching it a long time ago and i was like "fuck".
Right? He even reached top tier "nice guy" with "Girls like you never pay attention to guys like me. Whaaaa."
*Literally has a long term girlfriend!* 🤦
His whole personality can be summed up as "Aw baby needs his bottle."

I am a bit worried. I am late in appreciating this channel and I understand from some of the comments that Spooky went through some difficult times. His voice sounds much less happy than most other times he posted. I hope for the best to him as his content is high quality for such a relatable format. All the best to fellow fans and to Spooky 🥰
he posted and deleted a video called anxiety he just seems a bit of lately
I hope hes doing okay and takes a break if needed we love him i hope he taking care of himself

Yeah been a couple months since I watched this channel, and the change in his voice hit me right away, to the point where I went back to an older vid to check it wasn’t jus in my mind. Hope he’s doin ok...
Well look at the videos he watches and reviews for us, it has to be taking a mental toll on him. I can't even stomach some of these so I hope he's doing something to relax. Looking at these films constantly would make me sound the same way.
Hope your doing well, saw that you removed two videos while i was at work sad i didn't see them :c
Damn Spooky that ending commentary was so Dope. Most channels try to glorify these sick folks, the empathy you just put to words at the end... Great Video Brother...
Damn, this is a 2002 film? the 70s look is amazing! so many films fail to do the same and it's noticeable and distracting.
You are 100% right when you mention your grandma advice about fighting if you are being kidnapped ! I have heard by a police officer in a documentary that if you are being kidnapped the chance of you being murder rise very much if you're bring to another location, and that you need to scream, run or fight with all your strength to avoid that.. it seems obvious but in fact many people react the opposite way and are paralyze by fear or think they can cooperate to coax or calm down the perpetrator. But it's better to avoid being carry away and to even take the risk of being injured by fighting, screaming or running ! I hope that nobody will need this advice but it's still something useful to know...
Very cathartic to see Bundy reduced to a baby in the end.
Yes! I agree 100%. He was such a pathetic coward.
No he is a predator
He just got turned into the prey
When you how crazy it is that someone can break into the one place you feel the safest...I actually started thinking about how many victims thought they were safe before they're last moments
The fact that he prayed on woman who was kind hearted is really horrible
The more I think about it, I would like to see you bring your energy when you start breaking down comics from the legendary artist JUNJI-ITO!
Just here your upbeat energy and hearing your insight on some of his works!

This is one of my favorite serial killer films. Btw Spooky did your voice get deeper or did you get a new mic?
Spooky reached puberty at last, yihuu! 🥰
Matthew Bright also wrote and directed Freeway with Reese Witherspoon and Keifer Sutherland
😀yay! It’s my birthday and a new disturbing breakdown is out so far a good day.
This movie's friggin' great. I love the actor's performance, half-straight/half-comedic, so perfect. I enjoy it much better than the melodrama of the more recent one (Efron did a great job too, but I know what I like).
Watch The Deliberate Stranger
This director had 3 extremely fucked up but comedic and disturbing films. Ted Bundy, Freeway and Freeway 2. These films are screwed up, darkly funny and amazing actually. But you need a strong stomach to watch
Yes! I'm not really interested in serial killers and don't tend to watch movies about them, but I love how bizarre and darkly funny this one is. It's graphic, brightly lit, and almost surreal at parts, and the actor is so into the role. It's a ballsy performance and perfect for the tone of the film. One of the only actually enjoyable serial killer movies I can think of.
"Holding a dead raccoon"
Spooky, that's a cat.
its a fair mistake
Obviously I recommend doing "Gacy" film as well

Hey Spooky, i'm brasilian and i have two brasilian films to indicate that i think fit the DISTURBING BREAKDOWN series. The first is "A Wolf at the Door" that portrais the real story of a 22 year woman that for get revenge against her lover by setting his 2 year old daughter on fire, and "The friendly Beast", that is a total fictional story about a restaurant owner that violently kills some burglars who tried to robber his place and even some of the clients.
It makes me angry that a man like this existed and could very well still exist.
He’s dead
junko killer still roaming free. change his names and still commit crimes. no mention his punishment is a slap in the wrist.
there is also another Japanese who is a killer and cannibal. roaming free until his death.
Great video, Spooky! You did a great job with your tone and mentioning the real names of the victims. They're the ones we should remember, and yet are the ones we are too quick to forget.
