DeWalt and Milwaukee Comparison

  • Not exactly a comparison but just a side to side of them fighting each other. Didn’t work out as planned!
    But the Milwaukee cutter is definitely very old, it not because it’s not inserted well, when it gets old it starts skipping and doesn’t cut as well anymore and it needs a blade change.
    We will do another video with a newer Milwaukee cutter though.
    Aside from that, the DeWalt one is pretty neat!
    Thoughts on that?

    I've had Makita, Dewalt, and Milwaukee, over 20+ plus years. Makita did fine, DeWalt failed me many many times. 18 volt Milwaukee stuff was an absolute game changer. I've had Milwaukee for at least 6 years and still haven't had to replace a bettery or tool, other than the Milwaukee soldering iron. The heating element burns out if you leave it on for too long. I'm still running the same drill, 3/8 impact, 1/2 impact, large crimper, large cutter, and sawzall that i bought 6 or more years ago. I use them all every day.

    My brand new Milwaukee cutter does this if the pipe isn’t seated properly. I find it works best holding the pipe to make sure it’s seated in the jaws, then it cuts quite fast. In your video it looks like the pipe isn’t running true! starting both up at the same time dislodged the pipe from both tools from my observation.

      I feel you and I know a lot of people are saying I’m not holding it well, thats why I made another video on how the bearings are fucked. When water gets in these things everything goes to hell, I’ve used 6 of these by now over 12 years, so I know when I’m engaged or not

    I have personally burned up three of these Milwaukee m12s and every time one stops working I go buy another one. It is the superior copper cutter. No size changes and if you hold it right it cuts 1" type k in less than 5 seconds and 1/2" L in about 2 seconds. My only gripe is that you can't get it wet.

    I have a manual hose cutter that does the job even faster than the DeWalt.

  • @InvisionPlumbing
    @InvisionPlumbing Před 8 měsíci

    We use the m12 cutters in a professional setting where its ran atleast 6 hours a day (hotel renovations, 2 guys doing prefab for the journeymen).
    I can safely tell you that the milwaukee one has either a worn out blade, worn down jaws, or both. That looks like 3/4" M wight copper, it should cut as fast as the dewalt if not just a bit faster since the dewalt relys on an impact to turn its gears and the milwaukee has its own independent motor doing the turning.

    Not only is it not seated properly on the Milwaukee one but you’re using a tiny battery on the Milwaukee and a giant six amp battery on the Dewalt. Use the same size battery on the Milwaukee as you are on the Dewalt and that will fix your problem.
