    It would be so freaking cool if you had an FAC and could review both FAC and sub12 airguns. Yeah...I know...wish in one hand ____ in the other and see which one fills up first. I am dying to see the Hatsan Factor review in FAC. This ATA also really. I love affordable airguns. Tweak , tinker, modify,have at it ,and enjoy. That half the fun really! Not like messing with a 2K+$ airgun that has a 3-5 year warranty on it and mucking it up.😁👍 God bless my friend . Thank you.

    Very good honest review, I've watched this after purchasing and have to say I agree, it's a seriously good quality rifle for ÂŁ400!
    I had ordered another make but was let down by the supplier and spotted the ATA while browsing, having used an ATA shotgun and knowing their quality I took a punt and ordered the Airborne. I'm so pleased the other supplier let me down as I've definitely ended up with a much better rifle, every cloud and all that :-)

    Firstly love the reviews you do nice depth with out being patronising and good details . What I was interested in was what pellets were you using with this ATA Airborne. Yes in part due to your review I have gone out and bought one to replace my Remington springer, apart from the fact the first one would not charge so had to have it replaced I am loving it, it is a bit of a beast but I do like the weight and balance of the rifle. Also the one I bought was priced at ÂŁ325 which was brand new and from a gun shop so even better.

      @dxfourzeroeight8330 Pƙed 2 lety +2

      @@alphamilitaria2756 Update on the ATA well this is actually the second airborne I have had the first one would not charge once the bottle was connected it filled then in the release it emptied the gun totally so it was exchanged, one of those things I thought. The second rifle charged no issues the first twice then it did the same thing. On advice I "shocked" it and it held air but on shooting I noticed the zero was rubbish on inspection the moderator showed the pellet was touching the end when it was shot throwing off the aim removed the moderator and it shot true again. I have been offered for it to be repaired but 2 rifles with the same issue and the second with an extra and new issue repair is not an option for me. I loved the rifle the feel and look of the airborne but reliability means it is no longer the rifle for me. I have looked to see if I can find these issues from other users but I can not maybe just a "bad" batch? Still a sad goodbye to the ATA Airborne.

      Hi Chris. Thanks very much. I'm glad you're enjoying it. Unfortunately I ran out of time when I did the review and I didn't get a chance to assess the shot count. I agree that 95 is for an FAC rifle. Despite the quality of the trigger and sidelever, I suspect the engineering of the hammer and valve isn't as good as more expensive rifles, so I'd expect there to be a of wasted air each shot. However, given the size of the bottle, I'd be surprised if it is less than 200 and probably a good many more. If I find out for sure I'll let you know. Thanks for watching.

      Hi Liam. ATA Arms states the rifle will achieve 920 fps in .22. Although the company doesn't state the weight of the pellets used to achieve that figure, it would suggest power output of around 30 ft lbs is possible. Whether you can purchase one in the UK is a different matter. My best suggestion is to contact Sportsman Gun Centre, the official UK distributor, on 01392 354854, and ask them. If you do that, mention our name would you please :)

      That's very difficult as they are both regulated and very accurate. Do you prefer a sidelever or bolt cocking action? Much will come down to the rifle you like to look of and which feels better in your shoulder. I'm sorry that isn't much help, but there's very little between the two and its probably a case of letting your heart rule your head.

    If this gun had a barrel band it would stabilize each shot to start stacking pellets. Only thing I hated about this gun was the constant reminder of what gun you had "ATA" with logos everywhere down to the checkering that said "ata arms ata arms ata arms ata arms ata arms ata arms ata arms ata arms ata arms ata arms..." etc...it was a little too much. So I’ve just bought one, came filled with 175 bar. Did maybe 50-60 shots or so and filled it to 200 bar and it started venting its entire pressure out of the fill port. Google tells me it’s a common problem and a fair few people have had it repaired to do the same thing again.
    Anyone had this issue?

    • @alphamilitaria2756
      @alphamilitaria2756  Pƙed 2 lety

      Sorry to hear that Harry. Did you buy it from a gun shop? If so, I'd suggest getting it back in to them. Its hard to say what the issue is without looking at the rifle, but it sounds as though the valve is sticking open. On occasion this can be address by filling the rifle when it is cocked (but not loaded with a pellet). But, as I say, if you're in any doubt get it into the shop you bought it from. Good luck.

Went to the range to shoot it which was a wasted journey but met someone there that had the same issue too. He stripped his gun and showed me photos. A very poorly designed port with a makeshift looking plastic valve with no spring and sloppy tolerances that peel the o-ring off at higher pressure. Gutted but hope it gets sorted. The rest of the gun seems beautifully made.

The one thing I can't test is a rifle's longevity, which speaks to the quality of the engineering and components. I've not heard of any issues with the rifle though. If you haven't already considered them, there are some good, well-priced rifles in the Reximex range. I can only say it as I see it Gary which I think is better than me making something up, and I don't think 'every time' is quite true. I doubt very much manufacturers are going to think 'ooh, let's double the price 'cos Rich thinks we can get away with it.' Some rifles are worth exactly what they cost, others, in my opinion, are good value and some are not. I can only call it as I see it. The point I'm trying to make with this rifle and some others (but not all) is that it is such good value it is comparable with the quality of rifles that cost a lot more. And it is only my opinion - worth the same as anyone else's.
