The transition was around 4:35.
Thanks for doing the whole album, I enjoyed your reaction immensly. Can I suggest a similar treatment to Floyds next album from 1975, Wish You Were Here. The opening track 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts 1-5)' is incredible and well worth reading up on before you listen.
Thank you for the support throughout my reactions! And I’ll look into that before I react to it
Goood reaction !
Floydian...welcome into the rabbit hole.
Wish you were here MUST be your next Pink Floyd listen. You need to listen to Dark Side of the moon at least twenty times before it makes real sense. I've been listening to it since 1973?? I still discover nuances, subtle key changes years later. Enjoy the ride. You don't ever get off😁😁🇬🇧🇬🇧
Yep, transition is 4:39. Brain Damage is a nod to the Syd Barretts of the world. The artists who labor under the pressures and conformities of the world; a world where creativity can be labeled as crazy. (The whole album is about the pressures and stresses of life). The next album will pick up on Syd Barrett and the theme of absence. The album is Wish You Were Here.
70s rock can keep you busy for quite a while.
I've been listening to this album for over 50 years and it still gives me the chills. The next album sequencially is 'Wish you were here'. I've always looked upon these as a double album. Cannot listen to one without listening to the other. Enjoy!!😁🇬🇧🇬🇧
Great reaction David, this was only the begening of a long journey for you to discover Pink Floyd.
Can't wait for the next album reaction.
If you go chronologically,
1975 - Wish You Where Here
1977 - Animals
1979 - The Wall (double album)
Thanks bro :)
The transition occurred at the exact moment you said oOOoooo!! Lol!! Good job!!
Was really cool to watch your reaction to Dark Side of the Moon. You are right. Listen again to the album in a row. Best with lying on your bed and lights out. You will go to a jeurney. And I propose as next try: Wish You Were Here. That is the follower of Dark Side. Enjoy the experience.
Nice reaction. Pink Floyd always better with headphones 🎧
have fun
Glad you are enjoying DSOTM. It's is a great album to just chill to. Animals for pink floyd is awesome and once again one song bleeds into the other. The concept of the album is people are divided into three groups Sheep Dogs and Pigs. Pigs are the ones running the show. Dogs are people overwhelmed with power and greed. The sheep are the commoners. Enjoy. If you want a country song that will have you laughing. Try Wheeler Walker Jr. Family Tree.
This is one of my favorite tunes to play on guitar!!! I have a cover of this on my channel.
The album starts with the heartbeat and ends with the heartbeat, so if you play it on continuous play it will keep going
In FACT. those who were able to buy the album on vinyl back in the day would have noticed that the split beam of white light into the spectrum as it goes over the page of the album cover and onto the inner sleeves...the green band of light is continued, but as a heart beat which of course opens and close the album as you then close the sleeve. So it all kind of fits when you have the album. It probably cost almost the same to press a small single release as it does to press a LP/EP (or Long Play/Extended Play) as it was then known. So with an LP/EP you could charge a whole lot more for the product while keeping pressing expenses to a minimum. This is one reason why Pink Floyd wrote whole albums...so that they could charge more and give more music out to their fans.
The heartbeat is throughout the entire album....
That very last spoken line ("The only thing...") was not actually on the record. Speculation that it was deleted was because it was a bit too optimistic, given the darkness that preceded it.
4:39 here is the transition
Thank you for letting me know! Such a good ending !
If you like lyrics then you will love animals
I’m looking forward to reacting to the album soon
@@Nonstopdavid I reckon this album is going to blow you away more than any other m8. It gets really, really deep.
ANIMALS next...it will blow your mind. Video's with lyrics.
Also just remember that the first and last songs on the album are very short so do track one and two together and track four and five together. Just do a bit of basic research about the album before listening so that it all makes sense to you. You are in for a ride of your life! ENJOY!!
Not many albums hit home with later generations, alot of music is "of its time"
So when something getting on towards 50 years old still has impact, I guess that's a sign of absolute quality. 😊
Definitely would recommend taking a look at who they were back then. Pink Floyd Echoes live at Pompeii where the guys play in an empty Roman Amphitheater is another masterpiece that came out just before DSotM.
Crazy how music works I’m only 21 years old and I think music like this can and will live on forever I don’t think it will ever lose longevity. There will always be people from younger generations that will enjoy Pink Floyd. For sure I’ll try to take a look at that. Thank you for letting me know
@@Nonstopdavid That now 47 yr old album quietly stayed in the billboard top 200 albums for 950 or more weeks and has sold over 45 million in album sales, 2nd only to Michael Jackson Thriller. I recommend what Phil said about the Echoes live at Pompeii , its amazing.
Forget the Pompeii version, it is good a work in progress, but the album version is quintessential complete work. By all means return to the Pompeii version after finishing listening to the album version as they way it was meant to sound.
By the way David Gilmour's Live in Gdansk is a more complete version of Echoes than than Pompeii effort.
@@markbertrand4153 I agree 100% in terms of the music.
I suggested the Pompeii clip purely for reaction video friendliness. It's short enough to make CZcams reaction easier.
Other than that specific point, I agree 100%
You have just witnessed one of the greatest album of all time!!!
The next two greatest albums of all time are.................................................................
..in order
Of
Release
Wish You Were Here
And
Animals.............but don't forget to witness side 2 of the Meddle album, the masterpiece Echoes. By the way their earlier work isn't bad either and The Wall has a few good tracks but a very overated indulgent album.
Enjoy young man!
One of the best albums I’ve ever listened too. I’ve reacted to the animals album as well. Check it out on the channel
Pink floyd, the animals álbum.. Alice in chains reaction kkk
Now you know what Boomers listen to. 60'd/70's prog rock is the deep end of the pool.
The last line is completely insignificant considering the masterpiece that came before. I dont think you grasped any of it
I wouldn't call it insignificant
@@nachocheez9690 ok, I will say it differently, it is a fact. Not genius lyrics, songwriting like the rest of the album. And it's barely audible
