Roys logic: if a fighter says for example hes going to ko someone and he ends up going to points even though he clearly won he should lose because he didn't ko the guy
No, but you can understand if the other guy is making him do things he normally doesn’t (GGG was walked down in the rematch) it can sure affect the way judges score a fight.
@@gsn1320 but what ever the guy says in the buildup is irrelevant to what the judges should score it, the judges are there to score the fight and thats it. Many fighters say on the bell im going to go straight at you and end up having 3 rounds getting their timing and warming into the fight.
Like great fighters of the past, Roy Jones, De La Hoya, Pacquaio, after winning so many fights in undefeated streaks, following the first loss in a long while usually follows up with a second to present the first version of true adversity in a great fighter's career. This will be the second loss in a row for Canelo, and first version of exactly that in his great career.
@CULI-FABRIZIO Culi, I would love nothing more to see Canelo win buddy. However, what's going to happen is Canelo furiously throwing his kitchen sink at Golvokin during the first half of the fight, tiring, then falling into a vicious shot that may knock him down for the first time or hurt him more significantly than the 10th round in their second fight. It'll go to the scorecards and either end in another draw or split decision victory for GGG. Best case for Canelo will be another hotly contested decision in his favor. The Bivol fight was one of the worse decisions his team and promoter made in taking it, with all due respect to his greatest as a fighter.
Hard to ask that from a 40 year old millionaire. But you are right to win he will have to risk getting knocked out. I dont see him doing that, I have never seen that from eastern european fighters other than Vitalys performance VS Lewis. Most are hardcore dudes of course but fight very methodical without passion, and dont go out on their shield like many others. To win he will have to pull of ballsy performance that most likely will end up in bodily harm to himself, massive concussions, knockdowns etc… Is he willing to do that at 40, he wasnt at 36? Why now? I think logic says he will fight like he did in previous two encounters, intelligent pressure behind a busy hard jab which equates to the fight Canelo is most comfortable with, in middle of ring for most part, slow pace, chess match.
The only time I don’t want Canelo to win is when he’s facing Golovkin. GGG was robbed in that first fight so it’s 1-1 in my opinion, this is the decider, just a shame Golovkin is at the end of his career and past his prime.
Canelo in the first fight showed supreme defense and body shoots that most people did not count. Second fight Canelo backed ggg like a woman dancing a Mexican polka and hit him all night. The outcomes were right. ggg did lose to Canelo.
I don't like this fight at all. GGG was already starting to decline by the time of their first fight in 2017. This is simply a squash match to get Canelo back in the win column after he was exposed by Bivol.
Yep he was already declining hence Canelo took the fight. I think thats why there is so much talk from his camp of changing his style, cuz he cant at this age do his old style. What 40 year old can do what they could at 30
Declining? Your Crazy 🤣 he started declining after Canelo was pounding him with them vicious body shots & beating the breaks out of him 🥊🤓 that's when you started to see a decline, stop lying to yourself fanboy
He struggled with Murata for a quarter of a round, wtf are you talking about Paulie? 😂, thats not struggling man. Lol thats just a moment in the fight, and its not struggling if it ended in a KO. Would you say Gervonta struggled Vs Rollies? 😂😂, fucking hyperbole man.
I can appreciate Roy Jones junior's consistency in saying that triple G lost the 2nd fight due to the fact that he wanted to fight Mexican style and when the Mexican style came he ran from it I can appreciate Roy Jones junior's consistency in that
Great talk, really hyped for this fight now. Think you guys should've talked more about Roy coming down in weight and never reclaiming the levels he had before going up to heavyweight. I think Canelo has been trying to emulate Roy, trying to cherry pick the heavier weights, he wanted a crusierweight belt initially. Canelo wants to be seen as the Roy Jones of this era.
Although I thought GGG won both fights, if I had one criticism in his performances is what that he didn’t let himself go and fire off that right as often as he should’ve, that’s not going to happen this time around.
But Paulie is forgetting that Alvarez had different plans after GGG 2. It's not like Alvarez stayed at 160 and stayed in Golovkins division. Canelo had plans to become undisputed at 168 meanwhile on the way grabbed a light heavyweight title. It's just no comparison GGGs career to Canelos, not at all.
@@brandonb3174 True, no he couldn't but Canelo went on GGG did not. I don't know why this guy Paulie is talking smack about Alvarez when he doesn't come close to achieving what Canelo has done, I mean the guy lost to Broner for god sakes.
I don't see Canelo throwing not enough punches in his last fight to throwing a lot of punches in this fight plus he don't live the life of a fighter he may suffer the same fate as Broner which is not being busy enough. Unfortunately for him this guy is not gonna only be looking to outbox him he has a vendetta and Canelo might be in serious trouble 🤕
This fight rests solely on GGG's approach than of Canelo's. Coz Canelo's approach is going to be the same as it was for Kovalev, BJS, Plant and Bivol. He will try to use his superior boxing skills (Bodywork and Head movement) and power to break GGG down and finish him in late rounds. Canelo never looks for early knockouts as it puts him at risk. And frankly speaking this approach works best for him with most guys except that Bivol was a naturally stronger guy and nullified his power. However, GGG can't mistake his abilities to that of Bivol's and try to box with the superior boxer. GGG is a stationary target as opposed to nimble in and out footwork and Ring IQ of Bivol. Moreover Bivol's punches had little more pop in them compared to that of GGG which drew Canelo's respect at certain moments. Most importantly Bivol's game was the same since his amateurs and cannot be inherited at the age of 40. The only clear path to GGG win is to make it an early firefight. Thus, if GGG is really serious about the victory he should be more than ready to take risks even if that means he could get knocked down or get caught clean and knocked out. He has a good chance to do that. Canelo is expected to come out slightly aggressive and if GGG can get Canelo's emotions up by being aggressive from Round 1, his plan will be out the window and will turn into a brawl. This is exactly the fight that GGG has some chance of winning. This is the kind of approach that Juan Manuel Marquez followed albeit from Round 3. He could be a little more strategic coz of his agility and footwork even at age of 39. But GGG lacks that and thus has to make it like Hagler Hearns. Finally, Does GGG have the mind to get into an all out brawl. This needs to be seen tonight. History suggests the opposite. He never got into a firefight with an elite opponent and almost backed off always be it second Canelo fight or Derevyanchenko fight and even some moments with Danny Jacobs. Some of the guys who had the heart to do that were the Gatti's, Micky Ward's, Provodnikov's, JMM, Manny, Early Mayweather etc. My Prediction - Canelo by Decision or Late Stoppage (Minor possibility). Note. - I'd love to be proven wrong. I want GGG to make it a war.
I've seen many fighters say what they have to in order to get their opponent to fight in a way they can predict & therfore capitalise on, mind games. But for some reason because team GGG said Mexican style & did something different that means he lost no matter how he performed? I don't get that Roy. Paulie is levels above.
Wao! There’s many people out there that needs to watch more boxing. Boxing sports has so many examples fights on records about older fighters K.O. Younger boxers like nothing. I’m not team Canelo but GGG ether. The results of this fight will be 114-114 watch.
I think Canelo stops G to the body. Canelo had, in both their fights, gone to the body very well. In Gs recent fight with Derevyanchenko, he was hurt to the body. For the first time in his career mind you, Golovkin was visibly hurt in the ring. Canelo to the body, round 11.
how in the hell can the guy get a fair shot with the same judges in the same place , is what I heard , and you guys don't even bring this up on your show , that's crazy in 10 different ways
He's picking Canelo to win by KO......how's that hating on Canelo. Ran from the Charlos at 54. Vacated titles at 60 to avoid 34 year old GGG Waiting GGG out twice. An over the hill kovalev Rehydration clauses for Smith/ Jacobs. INACTIVE Saunders and Smith Horrible ass Caleb Plant / yildrim Add PEDS to that ...... on top of being a cherry picker. There's bound to be criticism dude.

Best case for Canelo will be another hotly contested decision in his
favor. The Bivol fight was one of the worse decisions his team and promoter made in taking it, with all due respect to his greatest as a fighter.
wonderful conversation
Lets GOOOOOOOO🔥
I hope GGG don’t show to much respect. This is it.
You're right GGG has to be a bully!
My same thoughts exactly 💯
2-0
Canelo in the first fight showed supreme defense and body shoots that most people did not count. Second fight Canelo backed ggg like a woman dancing a Mexican polka and hit him all night. The outcomes were right. ggg did lose to Canelo.

Prime Roy Jones Jr vs prime GGG, now that would be something.
The perfect 4 💪🏿
Canelo VS OLD GGG.
What 40 year old can do what they could at 30
Prime is not age is a stage, 3g style has a short shelf life. They actually did a great job with him.
Declining? Your Crazy 🤣 he started declining after Canelo was pounding him with them vicious body shots & beating the breaks out of him 🥊🤓 that's when you started to see a decline, stop lying to yourself fanboy
@@elgallofino7906 pounding GGG 🙄. I think he could this time, but Canelo boxed him, your boy dont take chances wont risk.
@@elgallofino7906 someone's looking at the world through Mexican glasses lol
17:40 Epic observation about the age of the bodies.
In that case I’ll always remember that Juan Diaz first fight when you lost paulie
I would pay for a Paulie vs AB II PPV
He struggled with Murata for a quarter of a round, wtf are you talking about Paulie? 😂, thats not struggling man. Lol thats just a moment in the fight, and its not struggling if it ended in a KO.
Would you say Gervonta struggled Vs Rollies? 😂😂, fucking hyperbole man.
BRO PAULIE A CANELO HATER
Who is Vergonta?
That fool said Bivol was a cherry pick gone wrong. How can you call Bivol a cherry pick, madness.
I can appreciate Roy Jones junior's consistency in saying that triple G lost the 2nd fight due to the fact that he wanted to fight Mexican style and when the Mexican style came he ran from it I can appreciate Roy Jones junior's consistency in that
Look at the stomach’s on Target and Paulie…life is good
Great talk, really hyped for this fight now.
Paulie provides some great inside in this. BS fights like this wont get remembered like the first 2 fights despite how Eddie Hearn tries to flip it.
IM SORRY ROY I GREW UP WATCHING YOU MY BROTHER, U GUYS NEVER RAN LIKE FROM A BIVO
One thing that needs to be noted here is that Abel Sanchez said he wanted to fight “Mexican style” not Golovkin.
Ggg was always saying mexican style
GGG started boxing in 1993 at the age of 11 and turned pro in 2006.
Lol...to even be talking about Bivol and Canelo is insane...people just can't get enough, but we knew he would continue taking risks, win or lose...
EXACTLY CANELO fought in a higher weight class
Should have been career defining when he beat him the first time.
True but it’s not like he could stay at middleweight anymore.
These guys are gonna bring the best out of each other come fight night 🔥🔥🔥
Paulie keeps it real...
HE A CANELO HATER ..THATS WHY BRONER BEAT HIS AZZ AND TOOK HIS GIRL
@@freddymontana5084 no! Canelo fans are delusional more like! This fight is happening cause its safe for canelo now that triple g is old
This fight rests solely on GGG's approach than of Canelo's.
IDK but to me it seems like Paulie is salty AF towards cinnamon
Pauly is right
Wao! There’s many people out there that needs to watch more boxing. Boxing sports has so many examples fights on records about older fighters K.O. Younger boxers like nothing. I’m not team Canelo but GGG ether. The results of this fight will be 114-114 watch.
Why can't Goldstein just pose the questions instead of trying to paint some elaborate picture? It's so annoying.
Canelo looks like he's peaked and a old 32 whereas GGG looks fresh for a 40 year old.
Fresh? 🤣🤣🤣
Agree! It could also be the weight up and down.
It seems to me that Paulie is big time biased against Canelo more like envious of the great Canelo 😂
No he's just realistic and knows alvarez is a protected fighter who gets alot of gifts.
