I agree, and looks like it's on the calendar now. It took Zurdo Ramirez 30 fights to earn his way to a title shot. Where Bivol proved his caliber by fighting and winning over Canelo, Ramirez proved his caliber by numbers, albeit not many high end contenders. But this makes sense in my mind, Ramirez was/is knocking on the door and rightfully so.

Yes, absolutely. I was surprised that they didn’t bring up Zurdo rehydration situation, him blowing up 30lbs on fight night.
This seem like a thing with all of GB fighters like except with Ryan. Ortiz almost killed himself literally trying to make 147, and Mungunia as well making 160.
If I was Bivol team, I’ll go down to 168 where all the big fights r at against fighters my size, and then revisit 175 later.

40 fights against whom mate? Absolute nobodies, that's why everyone's still questioning Zurdo's credibility. He looks mighty good and impressive against these low level fighters but he really needs a step up in challenge, you know take on maybe Buatsyi or Yarde or someone of that one level above caliber, before taking on a complete dominant fighter like Bivol. Cause if he fights Bivol next, that would be going from 0-100 real quick and I don't think Zurdo's quite ready for a challenge like that yet. He should gradually increase the level of his opponents and him and Oscar haven't been able to do it so far. He's gonna get outclasses by Bivol badly

I believe Bivol will fight the winner between Beterbiev and Joe Smith Jr. for undisputed LHW. Although Bivol already defeated Joe S. Jr. I would like to see him vs Beterbiev. Bivol is small LHW so making 168 to rematch Canelo would be a huge mistake on Canelo's part because he risk losing all the belts at 168. Zurdo is a good fighter but I think he is slow and feel Bivol can out box him. Footage of Zurdo sparring Bivol proves this, although sparring is not fighting but can get serious tho. Benavidez talks about getting the better of Bivol during their sparring sessions. Any of these fighters will make for a great fight. IMHO I feel that a fighter that normally walks around at 200+lbs. fighting at 168 or a fighter natural at 170+ lbs. fights at 154 is almost like cheating because they have all advantages when they come into the ring much heavier.
