Why I Sent a Creature to Kill My Ants (Part 1)

I had to send in an Angel of Death to kill my pet ants. My supercolony of yellow crazy ants, called the Golden Empire, have been gravely infected by parasitic blood-sucking #mites, and our last hope to save them lay in the results of a critical #experiment where we tested to see if predatory Hypoaspis mites, harvested from one of our #RhinoBeetles, would eat the parasitic ant mites. When the results of the experiment came in this week, I was left with no choice but to take drastic action.

Holy crap. This is the first video I’ve watched from this channel and I’m already loving it. The way you describe the rewards of the games and the emotions of the creatures makes it feel like they’re gladiators being prepped to go to the arena and you’re their god, promising them protection and unlimited food if they win. It's actually a tried and tested, effective story telling device. If the cliffhanger has you upset, then it's doing its job. In last weeks video, we saw a few of the queens, all of which were free of mites. Shouldn't you save as many mite-free queens as you can before killing them off? The more queens you can save, the faster the new colony can recover.
I think another queens have been infected and killed, so these ants isolate this queen as the despair solution. But the question is why those mites appeared, maybe from cockroaches for the foraging ants?
