I felt sad when I saw the Team Sonic Racing game because before this game came out I was thinking of more characters like Hatsune Miku, Shou Amabane, Joker (Persona 5), James & Kate (House of the Dead 4), the characters left from the first All-Stars Racing game (Opa-Opa, Jacky and Akira, ChuChu Pilots, and you get the idea?), and much more characters, but… too bad… Team Sonic Racing only had a few Sonic characters… it ruined my hopes and dreams… but at least they have sonic tracks from the previous All-Stars Racing games… that’s the only part I like on the game. :(
Haunted Castle is so underrated, my only gripe is one I have with the game in general, I think 3 is too much for one level theme, I'd have loved so see Hang Castle for a change etc
Three cases where i'd reverse the order of tracks: doctor's mine and mother's canyon. I think mother's canyon has the "over before it gets started" problem way worse, my actual reaction to finishing a lap was "that's it?" The Mother Wisp cameo is much appreciated (Colors DS for the win) and i like the pink trails you use to cross the canyon but everything else about this one is a boring nothing. Doctor's mine also only has a few good parts, but the buzzsaws, driving sideways behind the waterfall, and the overall more exciting feel make it stand out way more for me. ice mountain and sand road. sand road is passable but you really summed up how it is a long stretch of flat. ice mountain actually has memorable and somewhat cool features i can point to, plus its just less bland to look at since i think the ice in this game is quite pretty. frozen junkyard and hidden volcano. a shame hidden volcano is so bland IMO because i normally LOVE combined fire & ice areas in videos games, but they really did nothing but the bare minimum with the concept, so this one just ends up feeling like a waste and less memorable than the purely ice tracks. I appreciate the random lava golem and that loop back around to jump over it, but frozen junkyard just has a cooler atmosphere and layout, i actually feel interested in what's happening and what i'm looking at. my top 5 would probably be the same tho, i especially have a soft spot for the Spagonia tracks. its nice to see that despite how low-effort a lot of TSR feels, they still had it them to produce some creative, fun, memorable ones.

Mother's Canyon should've belonged just above Ocean View. That track is really boring where as OV felt like it wasn't even designed for this game which it wasn't. Also I wouldn't say that a track that's named after a zone and even has it's music doesn't make the track name bad, lol

When I play haunted castle, I always beat second place by like 25 seconds, on 5 laps over 50
