( The Police encounter starts at 11min 25sec 11:25 ) but watch the whole video if you want to see the whole social experiment.
I will be adding PDF files on UK photography law and various police ACTS which they try to use to trick you into handing over your details. THIS IS MY PHOTOGRAPHY BIBLE ! Knowledge is power.
Well I decided to record a social experiment in Waterlooville town, UK where I walk around with my mobile phone recording anything I can see from a public place like Banks, jewelry shop and police station and then record the same areas using my Panasonic camcorder which is more noticeable.
I went back just to record a Police car going in or out of the station to use for the ending of my social experiment when these two constables tried to intimidate me into giving them my details under the terrorism act and then threatened to take my camera and phone.
Thanks to Bambuser live streaming and my knowledge of my rights and the law I kept them in check. The officer who was threatening me with arrest using the terrorism act couldn't even quote which act he was trying to use on me ! he basically didn't even know in my opinion. And even if he did want to arrest me under section 43 of the terrorism act 2000 then he would need to reasonably suspect me to be a terrorist.
Officers ONLY have the power to seize and retain any article found during a search under section 43 of the terrorism act 2000 which the officer reasonably suspects may constitute evidence that the person is a terrorist. Recording a police car from a public space does not make someone a terrorist !!!
Possibly PC 27036 and PC Morris 27552 but no name tags. And the UK police are about to get a pay rise because Teresa May decided to lift the 1% pay cap !!!!!
( If you want to be a chef then you better learn how to cook !!! )

What a stunning level of incompetence demonstrated by PC Morris, badge number 27552, of the UK police force.
The following exchange occurs at 26:58
    Cameraman: "Am I being detained?"
PC Morris: "No. I mean, if you do leave, obviously we do have powers."
Cameraman: "Are you going to use those powers if I leave then? Because you just said I'm not being detained so I'm free to go."
PC Morris: "You're not being detained."
Cameraman: "So am I free to go?"
PC Morris: "And by all means, if you do leave, it does mean that we would be able to use powers to arrest you under grounds of suspicion of an offence."
    Cameraman: "What offense?"
PC Morris: "My colleage is speaking to my sergeant for the moment."
Cameraman: "So am I free to go?"
PC Morris: "That's obviously your decision."
Cameraman: "And I'm not being detained?"
PC Morris: "That's obviously your decision."
Cameraman: "And I'm free to leave?"
PC Morris: shakes her head no.

A cop tried to get my details as I was photographing nice buildings & he said 'current climate' I said I agree current climate is awful as it is wet and windy. Really had him worked up. He threatened to arrest me. I said arrest me for a non criminal offence & I will be seeking to have him fired for making up laws, false arrest, false imprisonment & assault, & then said go ahead make my bank manager happy! He went away annoyed!

Your way of talking is so calm and reasonable and producing the documents put them on clear notice of your intensions and also the limitations of their powers was a knockout blow. Unlike some other auditors you are calm and polite and respectful. This just highlights further the inadequacy of the police and their training. I think you were wise to livestream. I think that chastened them. Your video highlights police inadquacies and serves a useful purpose without being aggressive or obnoxious. Well done you and keep up this style please.
