  • Boris Johnson made a surprise appearance at a Tory campaign event where he called for voters to stop 'Starmergeddon'.
    It came as part of a final push before Brits head to polling stations on Thursday for the general election.
    The former PM was greeted by cheers, claps, whistles and chants of "Boris, Boris, Boris" as he made his way on stage.
    James O'Brien analyses Boris Johnson's 'legacy' and asks callers: How can anyone think Boris Johnson could 'bolster Tory fortunes'?

      Why was Johnson popular?
      It wasn't because of his policies or because of his record.
      It was because people thought he was a funny guy.
      That shows how shallow a large proportion of the electorate are.
      We get the politicians we deserve.

      @user-mv3ee8ty9f Před 2 dny +1

    • @colmastro4373
      @colmastro4373 Před 2 dny

      @@user-mv3ee8ty9fno lol, forcing people to vote ensures everyone has a voice. It ensures a party can't cry "rigged". It ensures that candidates don't win due to a minority vote.
      Also, your explanation made no sense for a weekday vote.
      Do you not see that not only will fewer people turn out due to no mandatory voting, but even fewer will turn out due to it being a weekday?
