    For a while now we've been hearing the name "El Pitillal" floating around as one of the cutest, most traditional neighbourhoods in PUERTO VALLARTA. We were told this was THE spot to come shop for everything from souvenirs to household items and to definitely NOT forget to eat here. We quickly watched CZcams videos on this neighbourhood and although it looked nice - it didn't look very lively...boy were we wrong.
    El Pitillal is located 20 minutes (5km) outside of Centro downtown Puerto Vallarta. It was originally a separate town from Puerto Vallarta, with its own distinct identity and history. However, as Puerto Vallarta grew and expanded over the years, El Pitillal became integrated into the larger city. Although this part of town is relitevily quiet, it hosts some of the best traditional Mexican fiestas, which take place throughout the year. These celebrations include parades, live music, dancing, and lots and lots of delicious food. We were there right before Semana Santa (Holly Week) - one of Mexico's most celebrated holidays.
    El Pitillal truly is a hidden gem in PUERTO VALLARTA and we're most definitely going back ... if not for the shopping then for the amazing food and don't be surprised if you catch us moving here in the future :)
    This is our journey!

    Hey you two . That is where I always did my shopping. I used to live near the Wlamart many years ago. You guys remind me of myself when I first moved there. As I said when I watched you with Mariana video. , my family lives in Toronto, too. It never caught on with me, still have my sisters there. That cold wind off Lake Ontario was brutal. Glad you chose PV. It is such an easy town to live in. Your videos are taken me down memory lane. Thanks for the tour and enjoy!!

    Hello! Been following you guys for a little bit since we found. Really like your videos. We’ve been to Pitillal for a food tour, did you find the family tamale business house? So good! We’ve eaten at Birrieria Robles, so good, yes, you should have had the birrierar tacos. Looking forward to your next video.

      Thank you 😊 it’s called Alfarería Jalisco (Miguel Hidalgo 184). There’s also a great store in 5 De Diciembre and we find the prices very reasonable called Tlaquepaque (Av México 1100) - not to be mistaken with the neighborhood in Guadalajara called Tlaquepaque lol

    Your buddies , Dave & Pam from Maryland, USA. Just curious if not wearing gloves for food prep is something not practiced there. We are retired from the medical field, and get the 'shivers' watching some videos. Just curious!!

    • @Morelifediaries
      @Morelifediaries  Před 3 měsíci

      Hey nice to hear from you guys! I can't say I've ever seen a single person use gloves here lol better for building strong immune systems!

    • @davewurtzburger4892
      @davewurtzburger4892 Před 3 měsíci +1

      Guess that's one unfortunate way to look at it. Hand washing (at minimum) is the number 1 way of not contracting a disease. That's a proven fact. I'm thinking Canada, for the most part, subscribes to hand washing/glove wearing. We don't want you guys getting sick (evenly, majorly). We want to keep seeing your videos. They are so well put together.
      Perhaps a video on the Mexican, specifically PV, hospital system, insurances, ambulance services. Anything and everything dealing with injury and emergency treatments. My wife is a retired NICU Nurse, and I'm a retired Trauma x-ray technologist. We know a little about these things. We'll let us know what you think. We definitely look forward to your videos and advice. I don't think we would move there as you guys did. We are 71 & 67 yr old. Although we live on the east coast of the USA, we do have a place in Alaska that we go to part of the year. Certainly open to visit PV, especially if we could look up and meet the ARCANO musical group .

      Thank you so much! We're trying to stay away from topics we know nothing about - and the ones you mention are certainly some of those lol On the surface, people seem a lot less sick than they do in Canada, especially lately! Every time we talk to friends back home they are sick or getting over something. In all cases there is a lot information online regarding those topics - i assume on youtube as well. @@davewurtzburger4892
