    Love this - thank you! I'm still trying to wrap my head around whether to go Dataverse in Power Apps, or if that is overkill and to go Dataverse for Teams - any tips on how to determine best fit? I have a whole series of business process flows and automations I'd like to create.

    Hi Lisa.
    I've seen that Fabric can link to Dataverse without copying data.
    However.
    I have diffkcuilty finding If the goals can be met
    -Having Lakehouse OR Datawaerhouse data from Fabric available in Dataverse?
    -Having Dataverse data available in a Lakehouse OR Datawarehouse.
    -Havkng Power Bi being able tl pull data from Lakehouse/Datawarehouse/Dataverse.
    There are probably limitatilns here and in Fabric they mention shortcut or link to Dataverse or do you have to use ADSL gen 2 to actually copy the data? Datalake and Datawarehouse probably handles this differently knowing Microsoft 😅
    (Microsoft not even bekng able to do a proper GUI for file/table explorer in Fabrkc and Databricks or leaving out options in menus so you think there are limitations when in fact there aren't)

    Hi Lisa, Could you please suggest how can I send data/table from power to SQL and it should be automatically going forward? thank you very much.

    Can you create tables etc with code ( something like t-sql)? This will allow you to integrate with Git etc.

    I can’t find a tutorial for this. Do you have one? Run document through AI model and extract fields and tables and then put them into the data verse. This seems like it should be easy but I don’t know if you have to pre make your tables to exactly match your AI model, or can the AI model determine the table based on how you tagged it?

    Help.. we are trying to solve a mystery on tenant. We have a bunch of custom tables created on Dataverse, but our admins are saying they never created them and apparently users don't have rights to create tables. How could this have happened. I've checked power apps add data feature and don't see a way to create new tables.. and it seems only admins can create tables.

    I need your help and support, and I’m asking it out loud.
    Requirement is that
    I want to consume O365 license details For example- (Office 365 E1, Office 365 E3, Office 365 F3, etc ) from Live Tenant into Dataverse.
    Is there any standard connector in the Power app that I can consume from O365 to Dataverse? If not,
    please suggest to me what is the way to consume O365 Licence details.

    Hey Lisa, thanks for this video. Is it possible to have Accordian view of the table view based on a groupby column in Model Driven Apps? Like we can implement in Canvas App to have a gallery expand and collapse (Accordian) based on a groupby column, do we have something of that sort in Model Driven Apps as well? I have set up a group by option in a editable grid using MS docs but I would love to see that in one your next videos and also I cannot make the view read-only with groupby option. If you can highlight that part as well, that would be great. Waiting for your response

    Some of your screens seem to show Dynamics forms with a Power Apps heading, certainly when you are talking about the security roles - very confusing. I can't find this menu even when going to the Power Platform Admin area.

    • @LisaCrosbie
      @LisaCrosbie  Před 11 měsíci

      Power Apps is the toolset for configuring Dynamics 365 because Dynamics 365 is built on Dataverse - it's a first party sophisticated model-driven Power App. The Power Platform Admin Center Menu has changed a bit since I recorded this so it may look slightly different now.

    Awesome. How does the Dataverse licensing work, please. Is there a limit on the number of records or number of tables? Thank you Lisa.
    Look forward to a video on power pages and Dataverse 😀

    Hello Lisa, What is better to work with, dataverse or sharepoint library, when my data are files of 100 buildings, each building contains 100 folders and 200 subfolders. Example:
    Building: Empire State
    Folder: contracts, lisense, architect drawing.... Etc
    Sub folder: License/Fire, Licence/Health etc.
    100 buildings x 100 folders x 200 subfolders with new, updated information.
    So Dataverse or SP libraries

    • @LisaCrosbie
      @LisaCrosbie  Před rokem +1

      If you are storing files in folders then SharePoint is the right tool for that, it's a document library. Dataverse is a database for storing rows of data.

      @@LisaCrosbie OK, but when I have 100000 records en work with powerapps, how do I work with the max 2000 records delegation in a search?

    • @mr.arthur5776

      And what works better Document/Record Center, or working with metadata in dataverse and the document in a library?

      It's done using Dual-Write -you'll find the details here learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/data-entities/dual-write/dual-write-home-page

    I'm confused as to why you can't just enter data straight into a Dataverse table. Why do you HAVE to go through a form?
    This is where Airtable (and Lists) have it right - enter content directly OR through a form.
    I wish Lists was built on Dataverse and you had the choice to build apps off it. Rather than having Lists over here and PowerApps/Dataverse over there.

    • @LisaCrosbie
      @LisaCrosbie  Před rokem

      You actually can enter data straight into the Dataverse table directly (make.powerapps.com, navigate to the table, and you can do it there in a format which is pretty much exactly the same as lists). I just didn't cover it here. I'll do another video to show that.
