Well basically the best way to fight fachism is to understand that any person can become a one and make everyone aware of that the TV over time might persuade mass of people that they are glorious and fight for good and the others guys are bad because they've just got different habits and directions.
Though there's something in common that Russia and Ukraine have, those who are more critical types always think of their politicians as greedy bastards who only care about getting richer while serving on the post not caring about improving anything in the meantime, this is why both countries degrade over time.

We fight not because Zelenskiy said that. We fight for our lives and homes. Every ukrainian donate now. If they can't, they knit socks for our army. If they can't, they knit camouflage nets. Or do something else. Because russia is not "other guys". They are occupiers.

Lviv looks absolutely gorgeous. I have started tentatively learning Ukrainian as a direct result of the mounting horror of this war, and the wish to understand Ukrainian people better. While I have learned/begun learning other languages in the past, I haven’t felt such a drive to learn a language. I’ve never admired a people as much as I do the Ukrainians for their drive and courage. Hope to visit Ukraine in this lifetime.
LingQ and Duolingo are doing the right thing by demonetising Ukrainian resources. It’s a very compassionate gesture which will hopefully help others to welcome Ukrainians to their homelands. And hopefully, we’ll be able to visit Ukraine in future and help revive tourism for the country while using our new skills.

Hi Steve, this video was a lovely change of pace. I very much enjoyed how you interspersed your Ukranian language journey with the story of your visits to the country and the assistance you have provided there.
Although I have no plans at present to learn Ukrainian, I applaud your gesture to help those fleeing war and persecution by offering language learning resources free of charge at LingQ.
It seems the current war with Russia has touched many of us in ways we have not previously known were possible, and the world is surely a better place when it is filled with kind, meaningful gestures such as yours here.

Some of those people have been through such horrific trauma, and for many it's not even over. They are doing their best to get integrated in American society but they face many challenges. Any help they can receive is welcome.
