Just finished it, this morning. Pretty good, though the ending felt a little weak.

Since you've played/are playing both versions, does it make sense play original and then remake, or just remake? I'm not to big on nostalgia and ancient controls, and so on. Asking, because GOG has discount on System Shock 1&2.
The controls for OG System Shock were ok for the time, it even had native mouse look! But the interface UI and inventory system are clunky at best. As an example: you have to go into your inventory to reload your gun. If that kind of thing would be a deal beaker for you- just play the remake. Have both myself, the remake is one of the few that is a genuine "remake" with some quality of life, and UI improvements- not a "reimagining". It will give you the same "boomer shooter" feel we got from it back in the day, with some nice modern controls and graphics. I recommend it.

understandable, I'm holding off on doing a full RT playthrough until it's farther along to release. Totally worth it, fantastic game.
