Gotta love the one-uppers. Never anything good to say about the subject matter. I bet they don't have a boat like this. This boat is crazy gorgeous, and being fortunate enough to ride on one is special in it's self. Feeling that kind of speed and power on a boat is like primal! I don't care if there's another boat that's faster!
We had a 28' Pantera with 3 Merc 225 outboards when I was a kid in the late 80's, and back then reaching 80 MPH was crazy fast for a production class boat, so for a boat to so easily hit 125 mph and handle it the way this boat does is VERY IMPRESSIVE as far as I'm concerned. Way to go guys, my compliments on a beautiful boat!

You can tell a lot from the engine sound. A well tuned engine sounds like a work of art in many respects. Like things are just more balanced. It really is a wonderful sound. Like a whiney 2 stroke scooter struggling to climb the tiniest hill imaginable.....NOT!

I would be very surprised if this one is the fastest boat in Europe. You may not consider the Scandinavian countries part of Europe but they got turbine cats up there that run a LOT faster than140.

@@TEAMSUBTECH There's a boatbuilder in Florida USA named Nortech Powerboats run by two Norwegians that has been building boats for 30 years and they've shipped a lot of their boats to Norway. Nortech is known for building turbine boats both V bottoms and cats. There's a company in Miami named Turbine Marine that is also owned by a Norwegian. Nortech has them install turbines for its customers.
Nortech's big Vs and cats run from 43 feet to 52 feet and speeds range from 120mph(turbine V bottom) to over 200mph(with turbines). Look here for Nortech boats in Norway; czcams.com/users/results?search_query=poker+run+boats+in+norway

@@TEAMSUBTECH Here are three 50' Nortech turbine boats in action. The Aqua Doll Squadron boat is designed after a World War Two fighter plane. The Canada Thrust boat had 1850hp turbines and ran around 190. The other two had 2900hp and ran 170;

Sabre hp turbodiesels came from your neighborhood are they still around. I tested a 50' cigarette back in the 90s, it was fast and went to ATF for intercept.
I remember that boat. The US Navy also tested it, or one similar.

There are two more vessels that deserve an honorable mention: T121 Spica and R142 Ystad. Their maximum speed is just 40 knots, but considering they are 50 meters in length and weighs 250 tons, that's quite impressive.
They are old decommissioned naval ships (T121 Spica is a torpedo boat and R142 Ystad is a missile boat), but they are maintained in working condition by enthusiasts and tours are available to the public every summer. The ships are powered by three gas turbines with a power output of around 4500 hp each, for a combined power output of 13500 hp.
I can recommend going on one of their tours. They always include a tour of the base as well as something to eat. Tickets are available for around $150-$200. The time at sea is usually between one and four hours, and includes at least one segment at full power, sometimes featuring a "burnout start".

So the Swedish govt. will not allow sanctioned boat racing?? What that means is there are no regulations mandating any kind of safety equipment on poker runs(which they can do)which can be seen by the fact that nobody in that 145mph boat is wearing lifejackets or helmets. That means if the boat rolls over at that speed, no one on it will survive. Makes no sense.
There are other races however in Sweden such as 'Roslagsloppet' where more safety and regulations are in place. Racing at speeds at 100mph+ in rough sea you should definitely wear safety equipment and take precautions.
What makes you believe that anyone would survive a rollover in 145mph with safety equipment?

We got 132mph, once we change the clevises watch out! 150mph is the goal fingers crossed. Currently tuned to 1700hp each.

Unfortunately the DCB cats have a tendency to blow themselves out of the water as well. I would never have any issues running 180 in a 36 Skater, but I would not run past 160 in an M41, even if Tomlinson or Curtis were on the sticks.

5-7 foot seas are what these hulls love. And this boat broke the left trim tab early in video, you'll see it flapping. Yet this boat still pounded.

Great point Karl- It's only for our US viewers that measure in MPH. Whereas a lot of other places we measure boat speed in knots.
