Love seeing RV enjoying life. He worked his ass off during his race career and now he get to relax and enjoy riding.
A true Northwest legend. Like many of us, chooses to continue to ride in the bush after the formidable years. Kudos to Ryan for being that dude I can drink a beer with after the ride. Too bad the other retirees don't do that.
It's great that Ryan is a regular guy that likes to do regular guy things, and never let fame change who he is. I just recently found Upshift and like what you do. Keep up the good work.

It's a video about a high profile athlete's bike. He changed it up to suit his needs and preferences. As most people do... regardless of the bike make or model. Not really sure why you are so bent.

I am glad that Ryan Villopoto never lost his true two wheeled spirit. It seems like most racers feel like the only type of riding they can do is MX or other forms of racing. Then they retire and we never hear from them again or they get out of shape. A true testament that the current series only burns the riders out and ruins the sport in the long run.

I just seen this and love it. Yamaha always have been my favorite moto brand for me personally (no hate to the other big 3 and the euros. They make great bikes too) love that he goes over the simple mods. Awesome to see a moto guy try out the trails.

It's always great to see old professional racers out there being able to pretty much whatever they want to do within the motorcycle world and that they still enjoy doing it, and that they aren't burned out on it, which is understandable if they are burned out but it's a shame when they are because they grew up riding because they loved it and when they've got the money to ride whatever and whenever they want to they no longer have the desire to

Yep.. the Dunlop 606’s... perfect for the riding I do in Australia with my WR450F... would be nice to have some Pro Circuit dialed in parts on it though.
I did the same thing with a '19 YZ450FX. I used a Tusk dual sport kit but changed out the rear blinkers to EDS Tuff lites. I love the quietness of Ryan's muffler. I wonder if Pro Circuit would sell me a quiet T-6 like his. My oem YZ muffler is too loud, even with a quiet insert.

Are WR, 's not Road legal out of the box in the USA?
No they are not. No blinkers, mirror, dot tires etc. Depending on what state you live in they are almost impossible to plate. Which is insane that Yamaha won't roll them out street legal and crush orange sales
@@justindwyer3832 Yes thats weird. In Australia we can register them. They come ready to go from Japan.
The Australian bikes also come with the bluetooth capability equipment. I had to spend close to $500 to get the ecu,programmer, and map selector switch. Be thankful that yall dont have a California in Australia.

Seems like a normal dude...that has multiple moto championships, can ride better than any of us, and most likely gets paid more by Monster Energy than most of us make at our jobs😂
@rv, great looking bike, period. Rule nr 1, don't enduro with a 450, to. Much torque, to heavy bike. On Rocky sections you don't need torque or horsepower, less is more. So sell this one, buy a 250, spec it up and make suspension soft.
After that ride a 2 stroke 300, you will stop riding 4 stroke... More nimble, easier to drive, less weight, and you can do extreme with it.
