I don’t have the words to express how helpful this video was for me…. So I’ll simply say THANK YOU!!! Changed mine today in about 20 mins, saved a lot of money and stress of being down to one vehicle
I'm glad it helped.
“I am mechanically minded, but I am not a mechanic”
Best quote! 😂
Sir, you are a gentleman. Thank you for the video. Saved me a bunch of money on labor.
Thank you for a well explained detailed explanation of the new install and the tear down of the old throttle body.
Glad it helped
400 hundred miles from home in one stop light town, this video saved me. The hill descent error was a red herring.
Thanks a lot for this video ! Took me around 20 minutes to do the whole swap and that was under heavy rain in my driveway ! Needed the truck ready before the hurricane hit us here in Florida … thanks again!
Glad it helped
Had the same issues, thanks for the info and help, subscribed from a fellow fisherman and outdoorsman
Thank you for making this video. My truck had the exact same symptoms that you descried. All good now. Also, I guess disconnecting my battery also solved the bluetooth/sync issues I was having. Bonus! Thanks again!
Thanks so much! Very simple and to the point. Saved me hundreds
Glad it helped,
Did this repair today! A few notes that I would add. If you have a check engine light come on take it to an Oreilly's auto parts. They will check the codes for you and you are looking for a P2111 or P2112 code. Also, I am not a mechanic, but this was really easy and took me only 35 minutes from start to finish.
Just finished swapping out mine and truck runs like new again. Thank you for this video.
Thank you for your video,I did get my truck fixed. I did it myself from your video. F-150 throttle body.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with this ebt. I had to pay a mechanic $190 to diagnose the problem and they wanted $1300 more to fix it. Because I DIY And your video I completed it successfully for under a $100. I will keep your video for Future needs.
Great video. Thank you so much for putting it out there. Great explanation. I like your style. 👍🏼

awesome thanks, the only thing that didnt work for me was the code reset so ill get one of them odb2 scanners later for that
Very cool. Thank you and God bless
Perfect guide thank you! Truck runs fantastic now.
Late Jan. 2023 checking in... 2013 F150 3.5L EcoBoost was an EASY fix with this vid as a guide - GREAT work all around!
Do note you'll need to "re-map" the idle/shifting especially if you got the check engine light and replaced the throttle body. The sequence shown at the end of this vid works, but you also need to let your vehicle idle for 15 from cold to warm and then drive "normally" around your place for a bit so it resets shifting points. Other YT vids have a great explanation on this, go watch them.
I also took my truck to a auto shop (any will do) to have the codes cleared - They immediately asked if I remapped the idle/shifting. I had earlier by following other vids instructions before driving to auto shop and when clearing my codes, they confirmed idle/shifting had remapped correctly.
Very helpful thank you!
Great video! Thank you
You bet!
Very helpful 👌
Amzing tips :)
Thank you.
Having same problems thank you
I hope you get it fixed .
thanks so much
Thanks for the video. Just to clarify it’s 90 inch pounds torque.
Thanks for the info!
Has the problem came up again since replacing? It sounded like you were explaining my exact situation. Even the same code…
Dam bro everything you said is what happened to me love this video
I believe I have the same issue with my TB
I’m not getting a throttle position reading on my scanner even with engine running making me think the throttle position sensor is dead
I’m not getting the same code though I’m getting P2599
What we found is when driving high speed 55-60mph. No issue. But city, town or slow driving that seems to be where the throttle bottle has the issue. Oil gets into the motor or electronics is my understanding. Dealer was gonna charge me $350-$400 to replace with $150 diagnostics. I just got mine in mail today going home to replace it in next hour. Autozone with 20% coupon. Got it for $90 shipped.
Been running good since the repair?
@@Kolby.with.a.K @Kolby B. yes. My wife came home other week and was like the truck struggled up the hill this morning. I thought greattttt... It was Friday and the kids wanted to go to outback. Hour drive away. So we jump in truck and head up the road. We have a long hill to go up when leaving. Well on flat ground felt normal. But when it hit that hill it had to drop to 3rd gear to make it and sounded like the muffler blew off normally it stays in 6th gear with minimal effort going up that hill. It was basically running a straight V6 with no turbos it felt like. I was like greatttt wtf.... I turned around headed back to the house. I was like what now, bout ready to set it on fire. Everyone got out and got into our jeep and I popped the hood cause it just didn't make sense. I decided to see if any hoses had come off or something. Looked around, nothing. Then low and behold what did I see... The whole freaking intake hose to the new throttle body blew off. It was good and bad. I was pissed but then I popped it back on, tightened clamp back down and I told everyone out the jeep and into the truck. They were like you sure? I was like no but we will see. But yes that solved the issue. I was happy it wasn't gonna be like a $2000 fix or something. I think I read on Amazon where people had trouble with the intake hose stating on. The lip is lil thinner than oem maybe?
THANK YOU
You're welcome!!
Hey there, buddy good job on that I do want to mentioned to you in case you don't know I didn't know until I got my 201 6F 150 that if you pull your battery terminal or your thoroughbody like you did or even your Turbo bypass center any little tiny thing. You do to the sport of one 50s. You have to do a complete system drain on them. Or they were like c***I didn't know that until hi had to do a water pump. So what I mean by a whole system? Drain as get tooth small battery termand shot her arm together. I shouldn't say terminals much toward. I'm looking for drum wire like jumper cables. I gotta be the same color I was told or you don't see why the shatter them together. And then when you disconnect your battery, you disconnect both of them and you put your jumper wire on each one of them. But you've got to cover your battery terminal. Because if it gets any kind of current it will not drain your battery and it will actually ruin your battery. But I just wanted to add that. I hope that's a little help for you. But I sure was for me. And thanks again for the video. Because I just had that same problem.
Would your truck vibrate once you stopped it in limp mode? That’s what mine does. It’s like an erratic vibration up until I turn off the truck. Turn it back on and it works like normal. Up until the wrench comes on. Sometimes a couple days apart or a couple times a day
Yes. it vibrated a lot. turn of and back on a couple of time pull out and would start again within a mile or so.
Great video, my only comment is that the throttle body screw torque 90 lbs. I guess everyone should understand that it's inch lbs.
Great video, but I have a question.
You said for reassembly to torque the four bolts to 90lbs.
Is that foot pounds or inch pounds?
There is a significant difference between the two and the threads on these small bolts could be damaged with over tightening.
I had the same question
FYi..when you torque the bolts make sure it's 90 Inch lbs
Man I wish I could’ve seen this, cost me $450 to have a mechanic repair it when I could’ve spent ~$120 at a parts store and fixed it in the parking lot.
But no check engine light turns on. It’s all fine up until the wrench light
90 lbs of torque?? Maybe 90 inch pounds at most
You should have cleaned ur MAf sensors u have 3
90 inch pounds right, can't imagine it would be foot pounds being plastic?
Yes, inch pounds
IS THERE A THROTTLE BODY LEARN PROCEDURE , OR IS IT PLUG AND PLAY ?

To much talking
