Also I wanted to add, how come you use the bell so often, I mean it's great as warning, but in comparison to what I'm used to in Zurich, it seems overly excessive as you'll only here the drivers use it here when disaster is imminent, otherwise they'll run you over, oops!!

We are taught to use the bell often to alert other people of our presence. In practice I notice that it is really essential to do so, because too many people these days are completely absent-minded in traffic (especially when they are looking at their phones). Also, we use the bell for instance just before entering the platform and leaving after a stop. We also have a horn that we use if danger is imminent, and it is much louder.

But I really mean it, you provide such good quality videos showing us that tram drivers has a really hard but fascinating job and blimey, why are drivers so often so stupid, like how is it that so many incidents keep happening in your day to day! @@Trammeneer Yes I've seen the difference between when you use the horn and your bell! Thank you for that info! I mean I completely agree with you and it makes a lot of sense, indeed so many people are distracted all the time no knowing a tram is about to run them over, so I just wonder why especially in Zurich they don't do that, as for example in Basel they also use the bell before arriving and departing a stop!

fantastische ideo maar is te donker aan het eind , kan je een video maken met daglicht aub ? en over het rechter spoor aub ? en doorijden van statenkwartier via het nieuwe rechter spoor gedeelte naar de remise aub ? zou geweldig zijn !
After the 19 minute mark in the video it looked very dark around the route. Maybe it was lighter in person there. If not more lights needed.
Apologies for this. Next time I will configure the camera better for low light conditions. It is much lighter when you see it in person.

ik vond het een mooie video, maar je gedragingen vanaf 1:13 (passage Jonckbloetplein met uitgevallen VRI) niet heel netjes. Je had veel rustiger moeten naderen en minder bellen, je hebt immers toch geen voorrang. Gewoon netjes die voetgangers en het kruisende verkeer voor laten gaan, zoals het bord en zebrapad aangeeft.
Goed punt! Daar had ik wel wat tactvoller mogen zijn. Eerlijk gezegd ben ik zo gewend aan de VRI daar, dat ik eigenlijk niet zo nadenk over het feit dat de kruisende weg daar voorrang heeft als de lichten niet werken. Ondanks alle borden. Oeps... Volgende keer beter!
