    Navia was being chased by the justice of Fontaine for climbing the buildings (which might not be allowed) and Chlorinde arrested her lmao The photo Furina was burning might just be the one Charlotte took with her camera haha

    • @TheBelovedPanda
      @TheBelovedPanda Před rokem +25

      Whoa, I hadnt thought of that. That within this teaser is basically telling a story of: Navia pulls an illegal stunt of scaling a building for her photoshoot (probably also has history of "disturbing the peace"). Charlotte discards the photo she doesn't want, which ends up falling into the hands of the law to be used against Navia in court. Clorinde tries and eventually succeeds in bringing Navia into custody. Navia's case goes on trial, but Furina finds it boring. Nouvillette says it is far from over, which could mean that there is a lot more to the issue with Navia than meets the eye (rebel figurehead? Sheltering the traveler?)

    It always baffles me that people think Wanderer has a redemption arc, he doesn't, Childe doesn't have one either, that story quest with his brother is just there to show how he is when it comes to his family, outside of that he's still the battle crazy man that he is.
    The epilogue Sumeru quest for Wanderer is not a redemption story quest, it's there to tell how he came to that point, how he became Scaramouche, and what Dottore's hand in almost everything that happened is. Nahida wanted him to see it on his own, the way I see it it's just a proper retelling of his past and making him see that his true enemy is Dottore and probably Pierro as well.
    If you see it as a redemption arc just coz he got a Vision then clearly you don't know what redemption is. He didn't change, he's still the bratty, cheeky puppet, the only difference is he accepted that he was used and he's not running away from all the things he has done, it's also clear that Traveler and Paimon are still weary of him based on the dialogue options for us and Paimon's tone.
    We also spoke about Childe with the same tone, we do not trust them, how are they redempted(?) if Traveler himself sounded like he's ready to body them if ever they breath the wrong way?
    I just don't feel like it's a redemption arc and I don't feel Hoyo intended these characters to have a redemption arc this early or have them at all.

    • @furytheshadow9044
      @furytheshadow9044 Před rokem +81

      And honestly, they don't exactly need redemption arcs - getting to know their motivations/different sides makes it easier to understand why they do what they do, but they are still interesting enough as morally grey characters and I'd rather have them that way or have them gradually earn some sort of redemption later on, rather than have it forced just for the sake of it after one quest

      Yeah wanderer kept his attitude, only changed his objective, and Im so glad they did that. I swear if they had him change into the cliche "Im gonna be a good person from now on" I would have been so pissed, I love him as he is. His point of view of the world is changing a bit due to nahida's influence, but overall he still got a cynical view of the world, close to nihilism almost

    • @XSacredX27
      @XSacredX27 Před rokem +8

      The only reason i think it's not impossible for either of them specifically is;
      Childe: His connection to his family, and the fact that they're being held hostage by Rooster (according to Scara) may indicate that when a problem arises, he will at the very least act in their best interest, opposed to the Fatui. (Not quite redemption, but a situation where he has to reconsider his allegiance and most likely ask the Traveller for help)
      Hat-Guy: I would agree here, except for one line of dialogue by Nahida at the end of Parade of Providence, where she alludes that he may break free from his past and find new meaning in life and that him joining Vahumana may start him down that path.
      Again, i don't take these as confirmations, but rather as allusions to potential. You may well be right

    • @ayashi6931
      @ayashi6931 Před rokem +7

      @@furytheshadow9044 tbh, the only way I see these characters having redemption is them getting ki**** because of all the things they did, and are still doing, coz that's the only way you can say that they have "made up" with all the evil things they committed.
      But do players want them gone? Course not, almost everyone is begging for these characters to be playable yet whine about "redemption arcs" to be done for them, makes me roll my eyes.

    • @FrenchDinosaur
      @FrenchDinosaur Před rokem +16

      Exactly! Childe is still a terrorist, and the Wanderer is still a douchebag who does not value life much.
      I don't think the writers at Hoyo are so incapable that they overlooked these things either.
      I hate to be that guy but I will for this one. In Honkai, almost all the antagonists/villains never had redemptions either. Their motivations, past experiences, actions and whatever were just also explained. The only one that got a "proper" redemption there was probably Senti, and even then it was still questionable if that's really a redemption, or if she was a "villain" to begin with.

    Here, when the video mentioned something big is approaching Freminet, you can't actually see the thing itself. What you can see, however, is the shadow that the big thing casted over Freminet getting darker and darker. It's normal blue at first, but then the blue part above Freminet became darker by the second.

Like, catalysts aren't weapons that are directly used to attack, they're usually shown like to the side whenever a catalyst user attacks. Heizou punches and kicks, while most of the other catalyst users throw little projectiles, and Nahida does her DDR moves with a line attack, so I dont think it's that weird for her to just attack with a gun while being a catalyst user, but we'll see.

    I don't want Arlecchino to be 'good' and end up as a double agent to our side. I actually want her to be secretly working for the Celestia because Celestia is right above Fontaine and I think it's about damn time we get some answers. Why I think it's interesting is because the Tsaritsa and the Fatui Harbingers think they're so "smart" in double-crossing and going against the divine, taking the Gnosis etc. which we can assume it's a key to access to the divine, when all are collected (crackhead theory). I mentioned this on another video, but Lynette's title and odd way of speaking(i.e. "Entering Standby Mode") could just be her part in their magic shows, or even in whatever grander "play" the story is potentially wrapped up in. Lyney plays the "Celebrated Magician of The Court of Fontaine" who captures the hearts of the crowds, while she plays the role of the "Multi-Function Magic Assistant" who helps him make his shows what they are.

    Still sad to this day that there are people who misunderstand Scaramouche having a redemption. He was never evil to begin with; there were misunderstandings in his life (why Ei "discarded" him) and was literally used by Dottore and set on this "evil" path. He was always kind at heart (literally why he was "discarded") so him getting a redemption was plausible for him. And as for Childe, he wasn't getting redeemed in his story quest, but more like that we're being shown another side to him. He's still an insane person and loves combat, but also deeply loves and cares for his family.

  • @mister-hajime

    My big theory about what's going on in Fontaine.
    Lyney and Lynette are spies. They are like the other Fatui, children raised in Arlecchino's orphanage. That's why she calls them "actors".
    Their mission is to find the real Hydro Archon (to steal her gnosis).
    In the japanese version, the hydro archon refers to herself with "ware" in the Varunada Lazurite description, but Furina uses "boku" in the PV.
    Before you tell me it's the previous hydro archon, if we look at the dendro and electro materials, we can tell the descriptions are spoken by Nahida and Ei, not the previous archons. So there's no reason to doubt that the description on the Varunada Lazurite isn't also from the current hydro archon.
    Anyway, back to Furina, we can see that she has two different eye colors. So it might be a multiple personality disorder, or the real Archon is living inside her.
    Another hint that Furina isn't the real Hydro Archon is her demon name "Focalors". Every archon's demon names come from the 72 demons of Solomon (Barbatos, Morax, Baal, Buer...etc), but here it's supposed to be Focalor, not Focalors.
    Last hint: the vision from Fontaine have two different appearance (like we see at the end of this video), meaning they come from two different gods

    *ARLECCHINO* scene of her having eight shadows reminded me of a CARL JUNG's Jungian theory that includes *The Shadow* as one of the 4 Major Archetypes. - Thus, it could mean that she's pushing her *true self* further so that she can reach her goal. When I said true self, she might have a lot of self qualities, impulses, and emotions- or let's just say, "Flaws" that she cannot bear for the other people to see since most will consider them undesirable or unacceptable.
    Remember what happened to Fischl during the last Apple Archipelago? That's an example If one doesn't learn how to embrace their own shadows, the more they suppressing their darker self.
    Before even Sumeru, most of us already knew that there's already been a speculation surrounding Focalor, mentioning false monarchy as well. Which could lead to a similar case to Arlecchino that all of them are playing actor roles or under someone else's shadow.

    9:40 "The original sin is the fairest: Everyone sinks." This line basically means that everyone is doomed for damnation. An original sin could allude to the biblical sin of temptation from the tale of Adam and Eve, which is a parallel to how the Primordial One had forbidden temptation itself when the humans formed a covenant with the divine. Those that succumb to temptation are thus inheritors of the original sin and destined to sink.
    It is likely to refer to Khaenri'ah and the Abyss as you have said. This connects to Fontaine due to their technological advancement and how they have said to have taken Khaenri'ah tech, which as we know, seems to infuriate Celestia. Moreover, Celestia is said to be above Fontaine so this could further foreshadow that a major judgment will happen to the nation which holds pride over Justice. Like the original sin, the final feast could also allude to the biblical event of the final feast between Jesus and the apostles.

    Something that had been mentioned as well and is quite interesting is the resemblance between Fontaine and the region of Piltover/Zaun in League of Legends.
    Two factions, one being the upper class with the most advanced-technology of their universe (Piltover/Upper Fontaine) and the other one, underground trying to change the unfair laws in place (Zaun/Lower Fontaine). That could explain the two different vision designs. Moreover, there are a lot of tubes and underground zones it Fontaine it seems.
    As for characters, Clorinde is kinda looking a bit like Caitlyn (Sheriff of Piltover from League of Legends) even if that’s a little bit of a stretch in my opinion. But, more interestingly, the two regions have a strong relationship with all things robotic. Think of Heimerdinger and Jayce, both of them being technologic geniuses and having created the Hextech technology, something mixing magic and technology, a little bit like the gun Clorinde is using.
    But I think the most interesting character that we can make a crossover with is Orianna. Her being a metal automaton created by her own father to replace her dead daughter kinda relates to Freminet and Lynette existence. Orianna is a ballet dancer, a entertainer, same as Lynette (being a magician in her case). That’s a stretch as well but there are some similarities and inspiration that could help better understand the lore of Fontaine (and speculate ehe).

    It's heavily implied that Lynette may be a robot
    And I have a theory about why she may actually be one
    The core of the theory is how she acts and the info provided in her drip marketing that she says things like power down and shutting off very similar to Katheryne who is a puppet assumigly made by Sandrone
    This explains the animalistic features
    I also believe she is a robot or puppet because maybe in the past the real Lynette was killed trying to escape the orphanage when both her brothers were against the idea this could also explain why Freminet is also distant and a bit cold like Lynette because he is traumatized
    And Lyney is the only one with a good enough head on his shoulders to care for the two and deal with the fatui

    i have a feeling Wriothesley is blind and is able to see with Elemental Vision? With him reading, he could be reading the ink that is written and since ink is a mixture, (which includes water, carbon and other substances) he could be able to see the Hydro traces on the paper. However when people say blind, they don’t specify what kind of blindness. There are conditions where people are blind however can still see shades of light thats in front of them. However, it is not confirmed yet that Wriothesley is blind and it putting up an act, or he is just stubborn. When someone is blind they’re not completely disabled. They adapt with better senses, so as of us, Echolocation can help people, so why not a high sense of Elemental Vision that can help the people of Teyvat? I’m sure he could see with that.
    Another thing. In the Animated show Avatar, the Last air bender. A character named Toph is blind, is she completely useless? No. Her echolocation was able to locate the ear minerals in metal and all around her. If you think of it, Wriothesley could be doing the same technique as what Toph does. And with the drink the lil rodent girl (i’m kidding) tried to give him, he probably assumed it was hers and not for him. Anyways, just think of the possibilities a person with no eyesight could do in a world such as Teyvat.
    This is just my theory, however i’m open to what others think! :3
    (I’m still curious as to how Hoyoverse would make of him if they decided to go with the Blind route. Either way, he’s a badass looking character.)

    My predictions from the trailers we got so far (DO NOT REPLY TO THIS WITH LEAKS OR ILL BITE YOU IM SERIOUS):
    In the teyvat chapter trailer Dain says that the hydro archon "lives for the spectacle of the courtroom" meaning it is all entertainement and that she is "seeking to judge all other gods" because what is more entertaining than to see those who are supposed to be flawless beings being picked apart? but then he says "but even she knows not to make herself an ennemy of the divine" now it could refer to the other archons or, Celestia. So from that and her calling whataver is happening boring and wanting to "see a real twist for once" she is becoming bored of the routine and common cases NOW as i said Dain called it a spectacle and who do we see on a stage? Lyney and Lynette. Fontaine is the Nation of Justice so we could say the whole Nation is one big court, or, a stage. And everyone here are actors in it against their will in this big play which i believe is orchestrated by Arlecchino as well as they are spectators. The way she stands behind the siblings and knocks the carboard cutouts says that they are but props and she mentions how their roles is to "mesmerise the whole crowd" and another to say that would be to keep the focus on them and what are magicians good at and what purpose do their assistant (Lynette being the assistant for Lyney) is? Diversion. Now with all that in mind, back to the beginning of the trailer Lyney keeps mentionning that while what you see is real its all an illusion because they want to make you belie ve a credible lie, so you have to look past it and a common expression is that you should "look past the surface, dig under the layers" and it seemed from the livestream teaser like parts of the population lives underground in a sort of seewer area meanwhile in this trailer we only see fancy looking people in a very clean and fancy overground. At the end the guy says the trial isnt over, now if its involving us it could mean that we got caught up in one of Arlecchino's scheme but will have to ally with the people underground to find the truth/realise that the archon is not really the one in charge. Of course since Fontaine is partially inspired bny french culture, i'd love me some good ol revolutionary action but we had that sort of happening in Inazuma already so im no betting money on that. So the conclusion im drawing for all this is that of course Arlecchino is the main antagonist BUT indirectly, she moves the pawns liek a director guiding their actors to make the play come together and its a metaphor i really like considering the harbingers having commedia dell'arte character names as their 'roles' really brings up the whole theatre vibe from subtle to "yeah you are all getting played".
    Now another interesting thing im not sure where it will fit is that Lyney says that seeing is believing but seeing is a lie because its illusions as we discussed BUT at the end of the scaramouch trailer the 'mysterious voice' which we now know from the Windblum festival to be a Hexzenzirkel member makes a point of telling us that we must belive what WE the traveller sees as we are the only one not affected by irminsul or in general evenements that change the world for every person that originates from Teyvat taht we are unnafected by anything of the sort due to being outlander and that we must believe what we see because while the story can change, the results won't because of how intricate the world is, like a script that cant be changed, the actors will simply be replaced (which is what happened in the Scaramouch story, he exited the play, but the script stayed unchanged, other actors carried out for him instead, the characters that died still met their end one way or another). overall im just very intrigued not just for Fontaine but for what this will mean for the overarching story and the whole Lumine being from Teyvat and having gone through this world once before, like a play that just keeps replaying,, a loop/samsara.

This could be a stretch, but if so, it could also be that that specific sin was the reason for the separation between the two sides of Fontaine or what started it , or it could just have been Furina (I hope I spelled her name right).

Is she secretly a Double Agent for a secret Government thats actually working for the good guys like the ones Diluc knows (Since she seems to have no qualms in leaving the fatui behind if she wants to and a lot of actor talk). ?

      No change of heart required. Childe is completely unrepentant about his actions in Liyue and, in fact, sees them as justified. He's still a Fatui Harbinger. Nothing has changed in regards our relationship with him. And yet....he's playable.

      She could be connected to Diluc and or Wriothesley as all 3 share some similar design aspects (Taking Diluc's skin into account.). I think people are jumping the gun on her being completely evil. I don't think her children from the Orphanage would regard her so highly if she was mistreating them. We also know Arlecchino is putting on a performance, so taking anything we see at face value would be silly.

      Again, may i remind you that our enemy is the Ststainer, not the Tsaritsa? Curently, everyone who isnin the know of what celestia is truly like is either trying to straith up kill them (Fatui, abyss order), tried to kill them in the past (dragons), deslises them but not intrested in a war (Dainslief) or supports the Tsaritsas actions (Pierro, Zhongli, Venti). The only perso who is old enough to know things but haven't realy shown much is Ei but she is a shut in so that doesn't mean much.
      From what i can see, w eactually need to get rid of the sustaner one way or another because the abyss twin clearly won't just stop caring about the Khanri'ah curse one day. The travelers original powers were also sealed by the sustainer so unless that's solved, there's no way to actually leave tayvat.

    This is my opinion about the Clorinde, she doesn’t use a gun it just her animation, like Kirara,

    I have a theory that it's not quite the Chief Justice (I forget his name) that we should focus on. But, instead the girl with the gun. I'm pretty sure we see her shadow pop up when Lyney says "the right people". Potentially implying she might be on the Fatui's side.
