True story. People rarely understand the concept of "The Journey". Even in stories of various mediums, the pursuit of the goal is the real meat. That's why training arcs and power-ups or pursuit of mysterious devices are a damn near immortal trope. Endings are often difficult to nail for even writers with great journeys. Sometimes, comic/manga/novel/series consumers go "meh, weak/rushed ending" as if they didn't enjoy five to ten+ years of a journey that absorbed an entire phase of their lives. The friends (or in your example the stats lol) we made along the way is a meme but also kinda the point.

I think one of the reasons Asmond is and will always be a good example of continued content creation, like some other creators out there, is he does not "fake" his persona or try and gain attention or popularity by doing "weird stunts" or crazy stuff. Nor does he partake in "promoting games" he does not enjoy or partake in. Lesser channels would probably take a sponsorship for a game they do not care much for and Asmond does not have to. That is the difference between these " viral " type creators and constant content creators. It was only a matter of time before channels like hers and similar ones literally run out of things to do or lack the creativity to produce constant content. I do not envy her or channels like hes at all. Shoot I think even Mr Beast falls into this category and that is why he has branched off into brand marketing and product producing ventures that will take the place of him needing to create content. I remember Hiding in my Room mentioned Belle Delphine once. I posted a comment asking who she was and some random Internet creep posted an angry reply that left me still not knowing. Never heard the name mentioned again. It's weird how the Internet is so fragmented that someone is amazingly famous for some people and completely unheard of outside the group.
There was no mistakes, no falling off, she didn’t tank her career. It was all calculated. She is clearly very intelligent and knew exactly what she was doing every step of the way.
She was making millions of dollars a MONTH for a couple years, girl is loaded and set for life. Her kids and grandkids are probably set for life.
So why would she dispel all of the mystery, reveal all the secrets, admit she had a boyfriend the whole time, and ruin any chance of longevity? Because she didn’t want it to have longevity.
If she actually enjoyed doing it and wanted it to last, she would have. But no, she did enough to set herself up comfortably for life, and then killed the hype on her own terms.

Even after all of that, I can guarantee you she probably still makes loads of money regularly, even without posting regularly. While I agree with the tactics discussed, I think it speaks to Belle's character that she was willing to admit everything was fake and be honest about having a boyfriend. I'm not saying she's some great person, just that she's not a complete scumbag and has at least a little bit of class.

Nothing but respect, meme'd herself up into a beyond comfortable retirement before her prime age even began. Whether it was an act of a genius, pure luck or a combination of the two, she succeeded where millions failed.
I think largely, what makes people lose interest when they learn more about a creator is not so much that they "think they do but don't" but more so that the information is what they are there for hoping to get in the first place, and once they do, they no longer need to come around. After all, if you have an unopened pack of Pokemon cards for example, it is often worth more than the vast majority of possible cards that could be contained within it, the mystery is what people pay for in many cases.
Asmon did a good job of analyzing and breaking down a lot of the psychological principles of E-girls. I dig it. People acting like Bel didn't know what she was doing.. I think she did. I think she was solid with her ambitions and wanted to do an expose on everything + reshape her public image away from the weirdness, and probably kill the interest of the more dangerous creeps.
