- Hello everyone,
This is a 2007 dodge sprinter 2500 3.0 diesel. This problem happened in my driveway one afternoon. I was in a rush and needed to speed out my driveway to beat on coming traffic. My driveway is dirt, so when I put the pedal to the metal lol, the van pealed out a bit then caught the asphalt and immediately the van went into LIMP Mode:( I notice if i disconnect the MAF sensor it runs better, but still has no power. Any Ideas! Has anyone had this problem? Please Help.
Thank You,
Johann
Hey Thanks for the video......How did it turn out ? What did you find wrong ? Captain Ron, Key West FL...
Plz correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe disconnecting the MAF also eliminates the EGR valve, which could be stuck and dirty, which is normal after several kilometers/miles.
On gasoline MB s cars , the air mass sensors had an average life of about 70 000 miles , the test was to unplug it , and if car drove ok , that is the problem .
Hi, I have a question. When you connected the boost sensor, it makes noise, the actuator can tell me what the problem is, please, I would appreciate it.
Thankyou 🙏 brother
what was the reason for the air leak sound?
my sprinter is same to,could you show me how can do this sir
From my understanding and experience with issue, was it is in need of a relearn. Have you had this issue corrected and what did you find wrong with it? Thank you,
Hello. I'm experiencing same issue . How have you solved the problem?
No scanner aparece codigo P2Bac ?
Hi, I have the same problem...How do you solve this problem..... Thanks
In my case it was the sensor. Changed the MAF sensor everything went back to normal.
Check the exhaust temperature sensor
It turned out to be the mass air flow sensor.
Hey i know this is an olg video, but how did you solve the problem? I've just cleaned the egr that didn't fix the problem.
I tried cleaning the sensor but it was shot, do o just bought a new one. I just bought another sprinter 3500 that I’m installing a dodge hellcat into🤣
I had the same exact problem. I changed the MAS but still same issue.
Most likely it's the DPF...
I drove it 2 months with MAS disconnected and was absolutely awesome and powerful! But it's bad to drive it like that.
I took the computer out (under battery near air intake) and sent it to a company which they deleted the DPF DEF AND ALL STUPID SENSORS!
later I took to mechanic to remove hardware as well ..
Drives like a dream now ..
Whats the company`s name, need to send mine to, what hardware is removed.
Hello, Ok so my van started to get slower and slower and slower, till she was crawling. I searched on the internet and lot of people were talking about the DPF that you need to clean it out. About a month 1/2 ago I disconnected the DPF and OH MY GOD what a difference!! I think it was blocked or full of soot. It's definitely not very good on the environment but my vans running great again. I will send my computer out for reprogramming to Remove the sensors and egr valve delete. I found a company called molone tuning or you can remap it your self with a USB to OBD cable and software called ECUSAFE 2.0.0.0
Johann Meyer did you get the Malone tune? I’m thinking of getting one just want to know how it worked out
I removed my dpf van drives awesome. I still need to send in the computer for programming
Johann Meyer did you just cut it out and add a pipe?
its 100% air flow sensor. You need too change it and car will run like it need too.
I replaced it today! Runs bad! but runs normal with the MFA disconnected. When it’s connected it won’t go over 3000 rpm’s.
Johann Meyer this May mean a bad turbo actuator. You can buy remanufactured or aftermarket actuators and install yourself instead of replacing the whole turbocharger
I know what the problem is GOT NO GAS IN IT
It’s either likely in the following order
1) map/maf sensor gone bad
2) turbo actuator or actuator controller gone bad
3) egr stuck open and carbon’d up or gone bad
Luckily 1) is the cheapest and 3) the least expensive.
Best bet to determine which of 3 likely faults - scanner with some live data info.
My 2008 dodge sprinter was doing the same thing, checked it with live data EGR was reading 4.3 it supposed to be reading 12 or 14 something like that definitely was the EGR
Also was stalling after reaching operating temperature it was the ground cable from motor mount to the chassis
you problem pressure sensor
How do you know that?
Kasper Hauser I have the same problem but it sends me the code P0243 and the P0101
Очень плохо,когда ты незнаешь русский.
use star diag to solve ur problem
How will that solve the problem?
Johann Meyer
With DAS Xentry (Star Diagnostic) you can reset the adaptation values/relearn of the Mass Air Flow sensor.
Part out
The truck runs great!
