Stealing A Friendship

- The plaintiff says the defendant is her ex best friend who she helped out after an abusive relationship. She claims she bought a car from her former bestie, and her ex-friend stole it from her. She’s suing for what she paid. The defendant claims she was the one who took her ex-friend under her wing. She admits she did sell her a car, but she took it back because her former bestie trashed it and never paid for it.

Feel bad for the plaintiff you can tell she really cared for the defendant. Losing friendships sucks but what the defendant did was shady I agree I wouldn’t want to be friends with her anymore either
Yep and the defendant should've been listening to that lady that was standing beside her about what the plaintiff was doing..She's the one that broke up there relationships..Because it wasn't between her in the first place..
I agree ..a true friend don't do this..
I wouldn't trust defendant...no true friend acts like defendant..
Unrelated, but kudos to both these ladies for being courageous and getting out of abusive relationships. I know for many women, their stories didn't end well, but glad it did for these two.
This.
The plaintiff is so kind and loving, hell I want to be her friend! Characters like that are once in a life time.
Me too!!!
when/if the defendant's Dad passes, that's when she's going to realize how much the plaintiff's friendship meant to her and how little the car means now
@ Veronica Matchett...so very true.
This is true, but what happens if someone passes because somebody hits another person with her car? The plaintiff would be liable.
Easy to say that but obviously the plaintiff took some advantage of her "friend" because why would she think she doesn't have to pay insurance? Does it sound like she was a great friend??
My dad has cancer I'm so sorry for her dad
It’s the jumpsuit for me...whew’ chile. 😑

@@loreeserantoinetteware8613 LOL yup!!
I was trying to figure out why she thought a bodysuit was appropriate for court, myself. She is to old for that!
The plaintiff was correct when she decided to eliminate the friendship because a true friend would let you know when the street is talking behind your back. I think the defendant used the plaintiff to fix the car, pay it off, and made up lies to take it back. The proof is when the defendant was selling the car. In my opinion, the Judge was wrong. The plaintiff should have gotten the car back.
She could see how toxic things had become and didn’t want to force them back into a relationship neither wanted.
I agree!👏🏽👏🏽
@@thebalderthor4884 The defendant said she did want to reconnect.
I would tell her to eff off too. She's a back stabber .
The defendant got caught in 2 lies smh she’s a sneaky lil something. She was gettin her butt whipped and the plaintiff was there for her smdh and that’s what she gets for her kindness?!
EXACTLY
The defendant is so petty! The plaintiff took you in in your time of need. A contract with a specific payment schedule should have been written up. The plaintiff should have gotten her car back 100%.
Can’t do business with friends. They don’t know how to separate business and friendship.
lol. Everyone is talking about the dress but I didn’t even notice her attire until reading the comments. 😂😂

My brother sold me a 2006 car after I totalled mine - a car he really liked but was being a good brother. He took it and had it thoroughly checked out. I knew it was an old car and something could go wrong. I am eternally grateful to him. I have now had it almost 3 years and absolutely love it. People just need to have sense enough to know that if something goes wrong with it, you bought an old, used car. Family is more important than a car.
I've bought 2 cars from my sister never has a problem.
Well said!
“People just need to have sense”… and that’s the issue. Many do not. It’s a bad idea and a few exceptions don’t disprove a rule.
Facts my in-law sold me a car and when I finally finished paying it off the water pump broke which was like $500 I paid it it's my car now there was nothing wrong with the car they got it thoroughly checked for me they made sure nothing would go wrong and they even told me about that possible issue to begin with and I took the car still have the car until this day ❤️

My brother bought my car too, it benefitted us both because it helped me pay for my wedding

I don’t think the ruling was fair. She should have also gotten the money back she paid on the improvements for the car. I understand the friend was paying the insurance but she agreed to that most likely because her friend allowed her to live with her after leaving the abusive boyfriend. I also agree that friend shouldn’t have been allowing others to drive the car. They both did some wrong here.

Never buy a car from a friend or family
It sucks when "friends" do that. They just ghost you after years of friendship with no clear explanation. People need to mature and learn to communicate.

If they valued one another's friend ship even a little, why wouldn't she just tell her that no one else is to drive the car, or even have her sign a promissory note agreeing that she'll honor that or that will give her the right to take the car back?🤔
I don't get why some people hurt their significant other. I accidentally hit my late wife while turning over in my sleep 23 years ago, and I still feel bad despite being asleep when I did it. She woke up screaming, I woke up, she laughed that now she could now "blackmail" me for hitting her and I still to this day feel bad. How can you say you love someone that physically hurt them?
Many grew up in household where it was normal. So they don’t know what a healthy relationship looks like. Not always, but it’s often the case. Some people are just awful for seemingly no reason. For some it’s power, they feel inadequate in other ways in their life. Lack of control, so exert it on their partner and/or children. The psychology of it is interesting, as weird as that may seem to say.
I don’t know and that extends to children. I will never understand how anyone hits people and animals they claim to love.
Condolences for your loss.

The plaintiff gave that woman a safe place to stay away from her abusive husband.. she should have just allowed the woman to use the car for as long as she needed. That's what friends do. I help you when you need it and vice versa. Some "friend" she was.
You can tell it was something else that no one wanted to talk about. Something got the defendant upset.

Don’t do business or lend 💰 to friends if you want to maintain a friendship 💯 I agree with the plaintiff’s decision to moving on with her life because she’s absolutely right a true friend wouldn’t have treated her as the defendant did the friendship was one sided 💯 collect your 💰 and move on with your life 🗣

The defendant got catty then the claws came out this is why mixing business with pleasure is such a bad idea!!!!
And I think the defendant was slick a user because the plaintiff really extended an olive branch to her in her time of need when she was being abused...so its like now since shes bk on her feet and though she does hv family issues going on...she just abandoned her and didn't even try to work things out...manipulative
