  • In this video, we review the Ruger American Competition Pre-tensioned striker fired 9mm handgun. Is it really a competition AND tactical handgun like Ruger Claims?

I have had both the full size and the compact. I bought the very first ones that came into our Gun shop. The full size trigger was smoother and lighter than the compact. I did carry the full size a little. But I did give the compact a place in rotation for some time just to do so. I ran over 500 rounds through both just for trial time. The compact was so comfortable to carry, handle and shoot. I used these two guns and a S&W M&P40C and a Shield 45 to train my adult daughters for conceal carry. My oldest daughter wanted the compact so much I sold it to her and it is her edc.
The only issue in many hundreds of rounds was that the compact 12 round mag would not hold slide open on last round. Ruger sent me 2 new mags. Great company. Thank you.

WOW, I'm VERY Impressed, it Looks, Performs, and Breaks Down Better than a Glock.

I've owned this firearm for 3 years.
Trigger has smoothed out for me after 500 rounds. Have put over 1500 rounds so far and the performance is been great.
Thank you Ruger for making a quality product.

The fact that it is 34 ounces for a polymer-framed gun, is awesome, well, I say that for competition purposes.

Op rotate your dominant hand to center the pad of finger on trigger and press straight back. This will help eliminate shots going left

Who shoots a Stoeger and an XDM? Springfields failed experiment en route to the excellent Echelon. it's not designed for concealment. It has a purpose and carrying ain't it
