The 57 made me a Ruger fan which prompted me to buy the American Competition and the American .45 cal. The design for all three is similar, they feel and shoot great. If Ruger comes out with a 10mm, sign me up.
Ruger custom shop makes a 10mm 1911...2 grand tho...very worth it.

It shoots damn good and seemed to rapid fire nicely I would say that is a nice trigger and I sure Galloway perversion can upgrade that trigger for cheap if needed . That will be my next 9 mm

Ruger has always had great products and I am interested in this firearm. This would be great for production class matches. And the price is right. Nice review.

I would love to see the 57 vs American computing and how that contest would turn out my guess is the completion would prevail but the 57 is a strong gun with great features
Looks like a Canik TP9SF/X clone at similar price points (Canik-$469, Ruger-$479). I'm somewhat local if you want to borrow one of mine to put them head to head.
Considered the canik but it didnt have a full adj rear sight.
Nice review, looking to purchase a competition / target type pistol in the future. I own 4 Rugers and I would lean toward this one, but I would want a trigger in the 4# range. I watched one review of the Amer. Comp. & he couldn't get a reading below 7#.
I have the ruger 57 & the security 9 they both fit in my security 9 holster & also in my ruger 57 holster,would this fit in them as well? It kinda looks like a cross between both pistols kinda like the 57 & the security 9,,be nice if it did,then i could use the holsters i already have

That trigger gets better after about 250-300rds. How easy is it to adjust that rear sight?
Would like to know how smooth the trigger is. Too many triggers are gritty, like the Glock factory.

Who makes holsters for this gun I can't seem to find one.
Be interesting to see this tested along side the Sig P210 . What are your thoughts would it be in the same league or not because I'm in the market for a target 9mm and not sure what else is out there under the 1200.00 dollar mark.
Not even close. The P210 is in a class by itself. Look at the Sig 320 X5 legion and the CZ 75 shadow target 2, both superior target Guns with great triggers, very close to P210.
Lol.. I had the screw on the rear sight and one on the plate fall off... then the front fiber optic fell out...
I went to academy and bought a shotgun front sight and melted the fiber optic back on the Ruger.
Overall the gun is beast 💪 😎🕺
What size are the screws on top. My tool that came in the box doesn't fit them.
I have the same problem. I noticed they got lose after shooting today.
The tool in the box is for the grip.
