Oh my word. That was my son Danny's truck. It was a great work truck in Flag while Danny was in service. Then he drove it after he came back. Wow, great job. So happy it found a great home. We enjoyed it. God Bless😊
Turned out "pretty good " he says lol...I'd say it turned out freaking amazing. That thing is gorgeous.
Very well made video, I have a 1987 Chevy Stepside that I want to paint with the same blue and white color
When a donor car becomes the new project haha beautiful truck!
Just beautiful
Amazing change. You did it right and making it look good and reliable. Great daily driver.
The 77 was the best year interior wise, first year for the full door panels, last year for the cluster with the grain texture and the wood strip on the passenger side
Vice Grip Garage sells a backup plate for those hood hinges so they won’t taco like that. Invariably someone is going to open and close that hood that doesn’t know what they’re doing. I owned several rust free square bodies, and older, trucks when I was station at LAFB a lifetime ago, miss those days. You did a nice job on this one.
Very beautiful restore.
Looks great 👍 🇺🇸
I give you a lot of Credit, You started and finish, Most get sold or junked, Good for you.Looks Nice
I just got a k20 77’. No idea on how to do anything bodywork wise but willing to learn. God bless.
No rust helps make it worthwhile.
nice job love the old trucks
Thanks!!
Neat that's my brother old truck. Hated it, had bullshit cali emissions from factory.
that looks amazing!
wow, you do it all!
Looks awesome 👌
Could I suggest when you move the camera you do iT a lot slower as that quick movement makes you dizzy to watch , just slow it down a tad. Nice panel work tho
Thank you for the feedback. I saw the same thing when editing. I cut a bunch of recordings that were worse. Thanks for watching, the next videos will be better!
You are very ambitious!
Nice paint job, I like the color.
Lingbed4life😉
I still think its funny when a person living in a multi-million dollar house complain Bout a few hundred bucks for paint lol
Haha
I like your work but I was getting sea sick. Please slow the camera panning.
Thanks for the feedback. I felt the same way when editing this video. The future ones will be better, thanks for watching!
What size tires are they? I’m looking for ones just like them. Cool truck! Gotta love the square bodies.
They are 32x11.50 R15LT. They used to rub on the front bottom fenders until I changed the front leafs which raised it up about an inch. Hasn't rubbed since.
@@fultonsgarage6331 Thanks! They would look perfect on my 85. My truck sits pretty high so I think I should be okay. I learn a lot watching your channel. Keep up the good work.
Shiiii* I'd drive it. Had a 79 let it go because of a 1300 Mile move. Didn't seem worth it then. Regret it every day.
Great work. One reason I watch these types of videos is to see what products others use. What brand of single stage did you use?
I used Summit Racing SUM-UP310G. It flowed nice and even. I didn't like that it lacked depth as compared to base coat/clear coat. After a week, I wetsanded it with 400 grit and then sprayed Summit clear over it. Looks nice now!
What amazes me is how GM was able to selll those things for so many years. The build quaity was piss poor. No leg junk.
My dad worked at General Motors from 1969 to 1990. I remember going to the plant. Quality was not very important back then!
@@fultonsgarage6331 sorry but had to throw that out there. I've got several of them and rather work on my G series vans .
17:10. Dick move!
HAHAAHAHAHA🤣🤣
@@fultonsgarage6331 quite the timeline of events. Parts truck. Simple restore. Showroom paint. Full restoration.
You’re fun
@@CraigFultonI know right! Either way. Still a bit jealous
Be nice Craig
@@TeamPorp this is what brothers do!
No disrespect brother great video had to stop watching got seasick and you talk way to much again no disrespect
Thank you for the feedback, I have slowed down the camera movement on later videos. I had a lot of comments on that. My cousin also told me to not talk so much. I have another video coming soon, I am going to cut out a lot of the commentary and see how it goes. Thanks again, no disrespect received.
