Killer work George. Great show!
So many memories came flooding back while watching!
Penny had a killer book filled with endless life-hacks, and a mini-super computer...in the mid-1980’s
It’s no wonder why my generation grew into cyber prophets and villains 😎
Great content folks!
Biggest laugh: "George, track down that baby."
i swear that's tony todd doing the evil santa
George is killing it this ep. Loving the show.
This is the Inspector Gadget version of Never Say Never Again.
Thanks for this and Merry Christmas!
You should try to do a Tennesse Tuxedo & Chumlee cartoon. They were low rent Rocky and Bullwinkle but also a lot of fun.
32:56 "Dunderhead, Blitzkrieg, and the other reindeer." I don't know why but I found that joke actually funny from some reason (might be shaturday morning sugar cereal high affecting my brain too)..
Same here! Although the line seemed lost on his companions in-scene😬
I loved the commercials, George. I particularly loathed the Kodak disc camera. It took far worse photos than even my 110 pocket camera.
Frank Welker has a credit in Disney's 2005 Sub of My Neighbor Totoro!
Awww... Rambo thinks he's people.
“Shut up, you fucking hippy!” and “Go Go Gadget Asshole” are Christmas miracles.
In response to George's mentioning of Penny looking off at 34:01 - My guess is as follows. A lot of cartoon model sheets, used as a visual guide in drawing the character, have specialized designs for when the camera is zoomed far out, to keep the character recognizable in very long shots. Sometimes that would entail simplified features, or in this case a much larger, more easily identifiable head. Unfortunately, it seems like it was used accidentally in close up (probably because there wasn't enough background painting to pan, due to someone misreading a layout/rough, or some such) so the ruse shows through. Not to say DiC didn't have some quality control issues with their aggressive deadlines (look at any episode of the Mario Bros cartoons), but for a looped animation like a side view run cycle, they would have probably put in the work, as it would be something to reuse a bunch of times during the production.
I would love to know how many times they say Gadget in this .
cyborg or lesabre was epic.
Does Inspector Gadget count as cyberpunk?

Joe and Nick may be the beans and rice as the basis of the affordable GenX meal, but George is the spicy chipotle pepper!
My old drug dealer had a beeper...911 was the prearranged code for a re-up...
13:40 “Die another day, for our elffin’ pay..”
Inspector Gadget is good.
Garenteed Andy Dick put the moves on George. xD
@23:28 WhereTF Did They Find an Elusive Clear Egg?!? 🥚🐣
From a clear chicken
actually, a book full of (555) numbers, if you Group Project'ed that, and kept it in perpetual digital print, that would make a lot of money. That would be some dope ish.
If Nick could get those pajamas with a butt flap that would makes Joe's birthday so much easier. It feels wrong to say that but oh well.
Those are underwear, not pajamas.
Inspector Gadget without the intro song or Cree Summer voicing Penny , yuck!
You pronounced Shuki, correctly but Levy is pronounced like "levee" (like the earthen embankment intended for directing the flow of water.) He's one of the most esteemed and prolific composers of theme songs and musical scores for children's animated shows throughout the 80's, 90's, and 2000's. Seriously... if you look up some of the most beloved cartoon theme's of those decades, you'll see Shuki Levy's name attached to them.
As for the actual cartoon you selected.... This particular special seems an odd choice, as it's clearly one of those post-actual series, different production company, hastily spalled together cash grabs, with inferior animation, songs, voice acting, and production values. I mean, there are so many excellent Christmas specials that were actually part of a cartoon series, so it seems like an odd choice to choose something made by a completely different production team, long after the Inspector Gadget series ended outright. Let me make an apt comparison of sorts... I'm not sure of how familiar you guys are with the adult animated series known as The Critic, Starring Jon Lovitz as Jay Sherman, but the initial series ran from 1994-1995. Then, for some inexplicable reason (see: Show had a cult following so whomever owned the rights to the show at that time smelled money,) several new "episodes" were produced in 2000-2001 utilizing different and inferior writers, and FLASH animation. These episodes were terrible, universally panned, and obviously a quick cash grab. So, picking this Inspector Gadget special is somewhat akin to featuring one of those early 2000's new "The Critic" episodes on anything. I don't care what the particular CZcams show would feature those episodes, but regardless, using THOSE episodes is an affront to animation in general. I feel featuring this Inspector Gadget Special on your show is not at all dissimilar. It's a later, inferior cash grab, and forcing anyone to sit through it is somewhat cruel and mean spirited. I realize that, yes, it's a Christmas Special, but as I mentioned, there are literally hundreds of good Christmas specials out there. These kind of later, post initial production, inferior type of Special isn't even bad in a fun hilarious way.... it's just bad in a "this was poorly written and cheaply made," sort of way. Well, that's my two cents on the matter. I enjoyed the show, but would hope you guys make better selections for future episodes.
The name of the show and its theme song both explain that this show is mainly devoted to poorly made cartoons, rather than to accurately portraying the best a particular series has to offer.
@@noneofyourbusiness4616 True, however if you are actually familiar with the show, you know that they're just as apt to play a quality cartoon, praise its quality, and for something as significant as Christmas special, a genre that contains such a diverse array of programing produced o'er that past 70 years, it was disappointing that they selected a program so utterly devoid of any redeeming qualities whatsoever. So, while the theme song and title of the program would appear to be indicative of their desire to locate and watch cartoons of decidedly poor quality, based upon comments made by the hosts, and the overall selection of animation shown throughout the course of the series, the type of programming the series actually appears to be devoted to is the unique, bizarre, ludicrously absurd, and obscure forms retro children's animation, as opposed to merely programming featuring poor writing, production values, voice acting, etc. Were the show actually devoted to cartoons of poor general quality, the show would feature programs such Gene Deitch and Filmation era Tom & Jerry Cartoons, early 1980's Hanna Barbera shows, and a myriad of other garbage cartoons. Instead, they've featured shows with generally odd premises, thoroughly ridiculous storylines, unique artwork and other similar characteristics.
@@c.bretmiller6148 I see your point. Non-sequitur: I think I've heard Caitlin mention befriending Gene's son Kim through her day job.
