- Meet the new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, a ‘fuoriserie’ (limited edition) super sports car whose debt to its Sixties forebear is so strong they haven’t even bothered to change the name.
It can be had with either a 3.0-litre, twin-turbo V6 making 620bhp or as a BEV that will most likely run three electric motors for more than 750bhp (Alfa is keeping its powder dry on the exact details for now.) It uses a carbon fibre monocoque with aluminium front and rear subframes. And it will be manufactured in a limited run of just 33 cars by celebrated Milanese carrozzeria, Touring Superleggera for maximum personalisation.
Want one? Rumours are it’ll start from £1.7m plus taxes and they’re only building 33. So instead, let Jason Barlow be your guide to Alfa’s new
masterpiece.

I loooove that the interior hasn't been tainted by a million touchscreens.
Yeah, it won't get dated because of that too!
Exactly why I only by Italian cars now I pray they stay in their roots and don't go woke like all the rest
@@marshallkaczmark1266 "don't go woke"?
@@baronvonhoughton that's why I always wonder why supercar makers put digital gauges clusters and screens in their car? They're gonna go obsolete in a few years
Meanwhile, Tesla fans: RRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
My god, nobody does styling like the Italians. In a world where a new hypercar comes out every week, this stands out. Bravo, a stunning car for sure.
Sure but can it deliver?
@@ApKierasI doubt they’re lying about the impressive performance specs. So I’m guessing yes.
@@ApKieras Deliver on what? You think the rich douche-bags who can buy one of these care if it accelerates faster than car X, or handles better than car Y? Nah, that's not a car that will have a racing versions made to compete with the best. In this segment it's all about the looks.
Agreed…Mclarens, Lambo’s all look the same to me….this is stunning.
@@kramshiron What about Porsche's? And I still believe that if you know where to look at you would have no trouble differentiating cars that seem to look the same at first glance!
This is a proper supercar, no giant distracting touchscreens, a wonderful design and a just perfect power output
@@twinturboray Shut up. Manuals are a thing of the past, that's just it. I love driving a manual but an auto is lightyears ahead of manuals these days.
@@twinturboray which modern supercars have three pedals..?
@@oliver.gilbert only the Gordon Murray t50 right? Manual and a screaming v12 in a lightweight package.
They gave it giant idiot-attracting headlights instead.
Nothing 'proper' here. Nothing to do with the original except in name only.
@@oliver.gilbert GMA T50, Pagani Utopia and Koenigsegg CC850, I think.
Beautiful homage to the original. I absolutely love the switchgear in the cabin, I hope some of these get driven and not just parked underground.
33 total being made at a rumored 2-3mill each? Combined mileage might be 3,000 miles in 5 year's from now across them ALL. 😁
I'd drive the shit out of it! Something that stunningly beautiful screams to be seen. Sadly, the only people who will see it are those of the uber rich.
Those mechanical switches are awesome. Proper cockpit lol
On a performance car, yes...
@@Solotociusoh please you still didn’t get what this car is all about it’s not meant to be raced it’s kinda of a collector’s item it’s kinda like car art. Do you genuinely think that someone is going to race a limited edition homage car and risk it being destroyed
@@nademmabrouk2654 it is by definition a performance car... regardless of whether it will be used as such.
@@nademmabrouk2654 like all the 2 million cars on the market, but probably some of them will make some proper fast laps on the track, By other and is an alfa, they don't make proper track mid-engine cars to not compete with Ferrari, they are more of a GT car, to make trips to the Alps and things like that.
The original 33 is my favourite car of all time. Well. Was. This. I have never ached for something so hard in my life
Same here, what a wonderful car
I can't get enough of admiring that steering wheel, a tribute to the old wonderful Alfa ones.
I'm not the only one😅😂
Agreed! At first glance, I thought they had actually used varnished wooden one like we used to have in our family Alfa’s of yesteryear ❤
Alfa Romeo, take a BOW. This is probably one of the best revival of an old legend. I LOVE IT, EVERY ANGLE, INSIDE OUT❤
It looks like a Classic, with modern aesthetics. Gorgeous!
That’s one CEO who knows what he is talking about. So refreshing.
You can tell just by his classic hairstyle.
I think a lot of people are getting fed up of all the complications of screens here and there and having to go through menu's to het to the things that you really want. Also the safety aspect of having what you need to hand /button/switch. And the simple and cool design. It just works.
And that's what you actually need.
Yes they delivered alright, giving exactly the old 33 “halo” (and more) but exceedingly projecting it into the future, what a stunning car!!
The more things change, the more they stay the same. Simplicity is so freaking beautiful!
A new supercar that tops out at 206mph, with a super clean steering wheel and manual toggle switches! This is a car meant to be driven hard and enjoyed instead what we get these days with all numbers so large you need to pull out a calculator to make sense of them, bravo.
This is quite possibly the best looking car ever made. It stand in such contrast to the pointy sliced up sharp designs of Lamborghini McLaren and Ferrari in their mid engined cars.
besides the brake lights, the rear is pretty boring. Just a giant blocky, carbon fiber shelf stretched across the back
What a lucky man to have had a chance to see this beautiful machine in person. Not many will ever see one live. Absolutely Gorgeous !
I live at 30 minuts from Arese😂
Love seeing the classic design making a comeback, and it has a round steering wheel…amazing
Italy is a country for the senses and this car expresses that beautifully.
Une vraie Alfa Romeo. Juste une machine pour prendre la route avec beaucoup de plaisir.
2:23 “the worlds angry enough, we don’t need any more anger” literally shifted my mood today
Best interior I've seen in a very long time. Less really is more here, and the steering wheel is gorgeous
Alfa Romeo, you just made the world stand up and look. And we look with awe.
Congrats and Bravo
Most car companies have lost their ways, Alfa Romeo however always delivers. It's just so tasteful.
Purtroppo, ancora un po' con Stellantis, e perdiamo anche quella. Anzi forse, l' Alfa l' abbiamo già persa. Ringraziamo gli Agnelli o quella roba che è rimasto della famiglia
Good to see Alfa making cars like this, that interior is gorgeous
£1.7 m this is more than surprising.. but In a world where I would have enough money, I probably would say "I want to have it " Stunning, and honestly for me one of the best looking cars.
This is a masterpeice!!! I m in love and feel lucky to be alive and participate in the launch of this 33 Stradale is such a privilege!
Imagine the face of the future owners driving this car. The best therapy money can buy!!
Should of had a V12 in it

Alfa Romeo, IMO the most beautiful car brand
Simply gorgeous I think is the best description for the new 33 Stradale. It instantly makes so many of the supercars out of Lamborghini especially, and also the rest look so wrong and outdated. Such a classic design with lovely curves and beautiful detailing.. Am certain I will never see one of these for real, but it’s nice knowing they exist.
We were missing an amazing car like that. One of the best looking cars ever, in my opinion
Beautiful car. A work of art!! And like most of the best works of art, you can't touch, can't buy it and can only admire it from afar. My hat off to the Alfa Romeo designers whose talent can be appreciated by all those whose eyes fall on this design, and hat off to the Alfa Romeo engineers whose talent will only be appreciated by exactly only 33 people. That's why you have to respect even more the companies and engineers that come close to a car like this, but have cars you can touch, buy and drive. Their talent will always be appreciated by more people than the engineers of this car.
Italian quality and beauty are unparalleled in this world, God bless Italy and the Italians.
This is the most beautiful car on the market by a long shot

Looks like a car Speed Racer would drive 🔥
Go Speed, Go!!!!
Imagine alfa doing the trick porsche does with the 911. Bring the best most pretty models back in new shapes. So much potential in this brand alfa. Just keep doing this!
Now for the next Giulia...
imagine a new spyder!
Finally someone started to make “old” cars again !
i mean those were nicest design ever !
Thanks alfa for brining it back !
It's perfect. The original Tipo 33 has been my favorite car since childhood. This 33 will be a lot of kids' dream car for years to come.
This is art!
Gorgeous…
The specs aren’t bad, eh, LOL… 😉
Yeah, those cheap LED headlight surrounds straight from 2008 really add to the elegance.

Stunning car and fabulous ethos. Well done Alfa Romeo👌❤️
I'm in love. I'm flabbergasted at Alfa Romeo design language. These guys create rolling pieces of art with love. Te Amo! Bravo l'artiste.
The window to roof glass looks insane a lot better than the original car ❤❤
Absolutely stunning and I love the fact the horrendous touch screens aren’t splashed everywhere!
Best interior of any sports car in the history of sports car, yes it's that good. ❤❤❤
I absolutely love the retro details & simplicity is perfect. Cannot wait to see the new Alfa’s to come!
That interior is amazing... I love the focus of this to make it simple and beautiful. More!
Just WOW. Instant Classic to say the least.
Really nice video especially as it has been done at a show, and Jason, really nice work delivered really well lovely to listen to. Hope to see some more of this!
That's some breath of fresh air in automotive industry. A pretty car, made for driving. And driving only. Then parking it no matter where and just looking at it.
Bravo Alfa Romeo.......a stunning supercar with a minimalist, driver focused interior! 🔥
That car is such a looker! The taillights for some reason also remind me a bit of the ferrari 458 italia, a car that’s still visually relevant to this day imo.
Quite simply, the most beautiful car made in the last 50 years. Maybe the most beautiful ever?
Bellissima both on the inside & outside. Love the clean & uncluttered look in the cabin. Although those wheels look terrific I would've liked to have seen a modern twist on the original wheels that would suit it better in my opinion.
Absolutely stunning car. So pleased that Alfa Romeo has shunned the trend of following the crowd.
The shape of the exterior is simply art. The curves and flow are beautiful.
But the interior. WOW 😮
Bare, stripped back and functional. No multitude of screens and buttons everywhere.
In short. PERFECTION. ❤
What a beauty. And that 0 - 60 figure is no joke. Sounds awesome. The cherry on the cake would be fruity exhaust note.
There is not going to be any exhaust note with that 3L turbo, the irony is strong when corvette has more italian engine than Alfa Romeo's new supercar
@@DuBstep115the guila (with the 2,9 v6) sounded great too in real life very good actually

Absolutely breathtaking design..that steering wheel and no screens just took me back to the time when cars where still cars. Not the things we see everyday on the roads
Somehow this is the first time ive been introduced to a '64 33 stradale and YES THAT IS ONE OF THE GORGEOUS CARS IVE EVER SEEN. its absolutely stunning.
An absolutely beautiful car. Well done Alfa Romeo. Well done.
I don’t know if "if you're getting an alfa romeo, would you want it to be electric?" is the right question. I think it should be "if you're getting an electric car, would you want it to be an alfa romeo?" To which the answer is a resounding Hell Yes
This is a refreshing perspective 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾
No. The electric takes away the nostalgia and the history. The song of the engine is dead
@JohnSimpson-mv9qm the horseless carriage takes away the nostalgia of the horse drawn carriage. There's no more soul
I love the uniqueness and the step back to simpler things.
Good to see artistic design regaining groumd on pure aero.
Looks amazing 😮 best modern looks
They have always made the most beautiful wheels. They have now put them on the most beautiful car. Stunning and I love the 2 fingers to the rest of the supercar makers MO.
This is the BEES KNEES!! More of this please!!
The Italian Sports Car: When you absolutely, positively have to have the most stunningly beautifully styled car perched on the back of a flatbed tow truck

Capolavoro assoluto, complimenti! 🥰
I love it and I love their thinking behind it, simplicity! Beautiful!
That interior is the best thing I've seen in a long time.
One of the best and distinctive looking cars made in the past 10-15 years! Really gives me hope in this time where every car seems to look like eachother and needs to be 'electric', it's like proof some designers out there still got it.
A timeless piece of art. I approve, gentlemen!

This could be a car straight out of Cyberpunk 2077, the interior is also so elegant and minimal, which works great together
Another beautiful Alfa Romeo. I hope the future production cars will inherit some of the essence of the 33.
Good god I love it. Stelvio driver since 2018, man I hope some form of this styling makes it into the new Stelvios.
Interior is just amazing!
The interior is phenomenal.
The simplicity makes this the most beautiful and "loud" car I have seen. I say loud because it is so unique in today's world. Absolutely stunning, this car is!❤ this car NEEDS to be in the Forza Horizon 5 game!
Feel like I’m watching Driven again, good to see you Jason!
This new Stradale and the 8c competizione are two of the most beautiful Alfa Romeo(s) I’ve ever seen.
A beautiful sculpture on wheels.
I applaud the designers ... very very very good job they did. 👏👏👏👏
I couldn't give less of dam about specs when something looks this gorgeous! Hats off to the design team!
Fantastic design brief. Bravo ❤
Top 3 car design of the past decade. Ferarri Roma, Aston Martin DB11 are the only other contenders IMO and neither has the "wow" factor the 33 has. The 33 design isn't "perfect" IMO, no car design is, but it's pretty damn close. All it's missing is the exposed gear box and exhaust of the original. I think that would push it from a 9/10 to perfection.
DB11 over Superleggera?
@@petris610 Superleggera is very nice... but the the Zagato style front grill is just too much for me. The DB11 is better as a total package (in terms of design IMO).
@@paskowitz ok🙏hopefully we will be able to buy our dream cars in the future
Alfa Romeo is back in the land of dream supercars with the unveiling of the 33 Stradale, a modern reinterpretation of the Tipo 33 from the 1960s, both in terms of image and in terms of top-of-the-range technology. Production is limited to 33 units (already sold) and can be ordered in combustion or 100% electric versions.
The new 33 Stradale represents an ideal connection between the past thermal and the electric future, achieved through the reinterpretation of traces of the style of the 33 Stradale from 1967 in an unscrupulous form. At the same time, it serves as Alfa Romeo's manifesto for the future in terms of the automotive dream and emotion, even with electrification just around the corner, anticipating some of the details of the brand's future.
The Italian brand is thus returning to the world of 'outa de série' ('fuoriserie', in Italian) cars, with road homologation, thus making it possible to use them unblemished in everyday life. Each of the 33 units is created with the full participation of the customers, who work together with the Alfa Romeo team to personalize the cars to their liking, both in terms of colors and equipment and in other aspects.
In order to achieve this existential exclusivity, 'Bottega' was created, a team of Alfa Romeo professionals who involved customers from the outset in the creation of 'one-off' cars.
Es hermoso, increible diseño, puro y crudo. Daria lo que fuera por tener uno.
Beautiful all round, interior is legendary as well.
Amazing so beautiful and very different and unique 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
That rear diffuser iz HUUUGE!!!
Absolutely stunning! Alfa does it again
3:34 says we have enough anger in the world but that’s the most angry looking rear end
Excellent and bloody wonderful...!!!
Alfa Romeo never disappoints ♥🍀
I love Alfa l, but OMFG that's so Farr from true😅 they've made some proper shit boxes in the past.
And have had decades of time where they just fall off completely.
thats true@@Emira_75
I can definitely see the homage to the original in shape and lights, but it looks a lot like a 4C, all grown up. I love everything they did with the lighting and the elegant simplicity of the interior. They added the one LED panel that was needed and still kept a classical look to it. Hard to believe they built this.
I like the front shales and character of the headlights, which ties in with the taillights, but it seems like a bit of a missed opportunity, having not tied that character into the side intakes behind the doors.
I will almost certainly 99.999% never be able to have a car like this but I'm pleased this work of Art exists.
Great job Alfa Roneo, you guys nailed it with this one. Absolute beauty!
620HP with that small of a V6 must mean the gas mileage will be horrendous, looking forward to it
I bet that will be a very important aspect for the buyers 😂
I highly doubt the customers will even drive it. Probably be morons and store it in a warehouse somewhere, only to be sold after they're pushing daisies.
@@apostolostvable I agree, but it would be interesting to see nevertheless. This is approaching F1 power for petrol, after all.
What a stupid comment 🙄
Mileage and supercars 😂
the interior is so simple, so perfect.
There’s only 33 of them? I’m heartbroken 💔
It's great to see Italian design done well. I kinda feel the headlights are too busy, but what a great design and homage to It's forebearer. The biggest problem is that the MC20 is 630 hp and this at 620hp for $2 Million seems a bit off.
I don't think they're gonna have any problem selling them regardless of price
They sold all 33 cars already. LOL did u even watch the video.
I can't help thinking that they could have simplified more. The sharp corners of the front lights and fussy running lights distract from the curves and the back end is a mess with the blacked out section of the rear wing and squinty tail lights. Interior: top marks (aside from the gear selector). Can't help thinking that toggle switches are a no no for crash safety mind!
This will be more faster than Maserati as usual. mc20 cant even deliver their 0-100 times from the factory
If you're correlating price with power, then you're missing the _entire_ point of this vehicle. People that do what you're doing need to get a grip. One day you'll realize that you're comparing numbers and chasing bragging rights because of some sort of insecurity that you have, or maybe you haven't experienced as much competition as you need to, but either way you're looking at vehicles like this in an incomplete way, with a limited perspective.
