- This is the brand new ALFA ROMEO 33 STRADALE! Join me at the Museo Storico for the global launch of the new take on Alfa Romeo's most famous car ever, that's limited to only 33 units. The 33 Stradale is indisputably stunning and features some great design, so let's check it out!
Back in the 1960s, only 18 chassis for the original 33 Stradale were built, and sold as one of the most expensive sports cars on the market in its day. 6 of these were built as prototype concepts by famous Italian design houses like Pininfarina, Italdesign, Bertone and Giugiaro.
The new car is Alfa Romeo's take on modern coachbuilding; taking the concept and ideas of the original and modernising it throughout. Available with either a V6 or as an electric variant, the 33 cars will be built to be bespoke and unique thanks to the customers working directly with the new Bottega division.
Powered by a 3.0l TT V6 making 620hp, or a tri-motor electric setup making 750hp, the 33 Stradale really represents the design and styling of the original. Modernised with aerodynamics, new technology, and an interior that can either be offered in a heritage throwback Tributo configuration, or a more modern Alfa Corse variant.
I've previously visited the Museo Storico for a full tour, but this time around we're heading straight in for the unveiling of the 33 Stradale. That's not all though, as the event is joined by Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu from Alfa Romeo's F1 team to reveal the bespoke livery featuring on the car at the upcoming Monza Grand Prix.
It has been an honour to be present at the launch, and what a stunning car to spend some time exploring. There are 33 very lucky customers of the new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale!

This is why Italian car brands are the best in my opinion. They don’t always have the fastest cars most popular cars. But it’s about a true passion story of love.. the way they don’t forget about their heritage and where they came from. The way this 33 gives so many nods back the original from the 1st delivery date to the Heritage interior pack, this what I love the brand so much. I feel so many German and another car brands want build the most futuristic and powerful car and forget about design passion, what pulls is on the hearts stings. Give me an Alfa any day! The 33 Stradale is my dream car. It shared a space on my bedroom wall alongside the Ferrari Dino. Its shape and style was utterly captivating and its butterfly doors gave it such an iconic silhouette. I’m genuinely touched to the core that Alfa have brought back such an historic name. Not just in 33 Stradale, but the racing legacy of the awesome Tipo-33. Bravo.

My friend had a Dino 246, I had a '73 911S. We used to race around the island of Palm Beach when I was a 'kid.' The cars took skill and love to drive back then..

I have ridden in a 60s Stradale. One of the 9 owned privately. Insane car, exposed rear transaxle and gold magnesium phone-dial wheels. My all-time favorite. I still can't believe I ever got the chance.
The original 33's chassis was fascinating and unique. The center section was made with big cast alloy tubes - BIG, big enough to double as the gas tanks - connected to cast alloy bulkheads and subframes front and rear. It must have been a little heavy, but ingenious and very stiff
Stunning car ❤. I’m Definitely hanging on to my Giulia QV if this is the last effort Alfa put into petrol powered performance cars. Built 7 years ago and is still a better drivers car than any of the German manufacturers are producing

What a beautiful and faithful homage. You don't get really good tributes very often imo, but this is absolutely spectacular.
I love how they retained those large headlights of the Tipo, but brought it into the 21st century by turning it into negative space. All the machined aluminium parts, from the grille to the center console and the gauges look brilliant. I also love the way they used contrasting carbon bits as a nod to the iconic triangular vents we find on the original. Just beautiful execution here.

gma t33 is much better, i just dont liek the streaight edged parts of its front end, and i prefer a combination of gma t50s and de tomaso p72 rear ends in simplified form with rear lights of gma t33, into a semi transparent shell over the inner workings so the sillhoutte shows but th einner workings with color coded parts such as steerin rack position, a mark on edge of wheels/gears showing its rpm, etc, also showing . headlights would be not covered so its a minimal body panel gaps

Man, I'm here drooling while watching this video and reminissing on some of the Alfa Romeo's I've owned. What an amazing and super gorgeous automobile!. Love that there's 2 options on the power train. Love the traditional gas engines and their sound, but the incredible performance of the 3 electric motors is hard to want to pass up. I'll take one of each, please!
I feel that Alfa Romeo should have made a successor to the 8C rather than this. They need a true halo car that more people can aspire to get and bring attention to the brand. They're known for their beautiful sedans and sports cars, but most of their cars now are compact SUVs. And the one time they unveil a new sports car, they're only making 33 of them and they're $2 million. It's a very beautiful car, but still kind of disappointed. Hopefully there's a new sports car/supercar on the way

Dude, 33 Stradale wasn’t just a sports car. It was a racing prototype for the road that was truly the definition of a dream car. In 1967 it was faster than the Lamborghini Miura. There was only 18 of them, each one completely unique, a car that you could only own in your dreams.
This is Alfa’s version of Lamborghini’s Countach tribute.

This recreation is a mix between a nod to the past and an inspiration from a jet fighter with two engines in full afterburner, from those engine intakes to the rear lights. The interior is so reminiscent of a jet fighter cockpit. What a stunning car.

That rear end is stunning. The tails integrated into the cannons that protrude out from the side, with the led accent, continuing into the intake and finishing ss a wing, it looks like it's packing missiles...amazing details, bellissimo.😘
I absolutely love it! This is art on wheels and i think its underpinnings don't hinder it what so ever as the MC20 is know to drive well. So it's the best of both worlds for the owners. I might just have to hold on to my Alfa 75 a bit longer. 🎨🖌️

Its the most gorgeous new sports car I have seen in decades.
Most manufacturers are trying to run away from their past, but not alfa. They are embracing it and bringing it forward. The car captures the past and looks futuristic. It is an achievement. I love the car's look from the t-top down.
Even the steering wheel is a tribute to the beautiful classic Alfa's steering wheels.

I think it's an amazing car. Only problem I have with this though is that I think it should've been made as an actual production line car that more people can buy instead of this limited series they're going for. I respect the fact that they're trying to pay respect to heritage from the hold car with this, but I think an actual production car like this for everyone from then would really push them back up to the light as before now, no one's really been talking about them for a while. Great job overall though

Most people forget that Alfa Romeo was before Ferrari. Enzo started his career there in fact...
Alfa Romeo has indeed, in my opinion, nailed the NEW 33 Stradale. I appreciate the opinion of the all electric drive line... but... I would have the V6 (since the V8 opinion is unavailable) because it is more in keeping with the history of the original version. I’m only sad that there are going to be so few examples available... and, only a few of the very wealthy can afford one.
Alfa Romeo definitely know how to build a sports car...it is my hope that they build one for the masses again. Practically be dammed... the bean counters need to drive a sports car to understand the passion of the drive... (🤷🏻♂️Or maybe they just won’t get it...still...it’s worth a try.😎) I used a ‘67 TR4 as a commuter car for quite some time...until family matters had me sell it. ... I miss that little sports car...it was great fun. And quite the stress reliever.😉
