almost 4 years since you uploaded, I had this printer standing around for 2years now and not using it, because I also have 2 other printers that work well.
I bought this printer because it was in a huge discount, for 209€ including shipping and taxes. I saw the great reviews and knew I was capable of doing quite a bit of DIY
(fyi, I did motherboard repair on a printer, replaced a fried up voltage regulator with a new one)
Finally I have some time and need a third printer because I want to print some big parts for my FPV drone.
Thanks for making this video, this long form content is exactly what I need to get things like this done, the music and your calming voice are perfect for midnight DIY/Modding.❤
This guide was great, really helped with everything, Thank you for taking the time to throw this together I don't think I'd be able to do it with you.
You're welcome.
Just wanted to tell u thanks for the videos I literally couldn't have done this without this video and the couple others u did on the bltouch and firmware.
Glad I could help
DO YOU STILL DOING 10S PRO I HAVE FEW QUESTION
@@DiyProJames
Thank you very much for your guide, your's the best for CR10s Pro with BL-Touch!
Best tutorial of this topic! You have saved our lifes! Thank you very much!!! It works now!
Glad it helped!
I'm going to go ahead and say right here as a fair warning to everybody please make sure that the product listing of the BL touch you're planning on buying says that it supports the CR10s pro! As a matter of fact I'll go one step further and say that you're better off buying the creality version then you are some other version.
Cool vid What I did was buy a Cr 10Max connector cable and made my Cr 10s pro into a version 2 without the jumper cable much cleaner and easier job
Cool maybe you could upload a video on that..
I brought the same kit, but now my hotend hits the bed when leveling. Did you use the Z+ connector on the main board? Because the kit has a blue and red wire connector instead of white and black.

Thank you very much for this great Video, very helpful!! Best tutorial!!!
Super Video. Hat mir seht geholfen. Top. Daumen hoch :D
Thanks.
So nice thx !!
Glad you like it!
TOP!
THANKS!
Ensure after relocation of ssr it is properly grounded. You can clearly see alu unpainted point in the original location.
Keep safe!
What am I missing here? Is the SSR not grounded through the neutral wire going back to the panel?.
I’m using a different bracket for my BL Touch 3.1. I will have to edit Marlin code to compensate for my BL touch missing my bed in the left side. I also upgraded my hot end to a Flexion extruder. Had to get an extension cable, but wiring also had to be rearranged.
Sounds great!
@@DiyProJames Do you have power loss recovery on your setup? I was doing some overnight printing and the power went out. I couldn't continue printing where I left off. I found out it's because the new Marlin 2.0 has thermal runaway activated and you can't have both. Is this true?
Nice vid, thank you. Could you please make a seperate vid regarding bed leveling on CR-10S Pro v1 and BLTouch SMART v3.1? I didn't really understand how you did that.
Please take a look at this video. czcams.com/video/vjUnsWGvhk8/video.html
Great video thank you for sharing
You're Welcome. Thanks for watching!
Well done. Liked and subscribed.
Thanks for the sub!
My son is updating his printer and when he clicks on the firmware download nothing looks the same as in the video so not sure what to do, I told him to stop before he bricks it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for a great video! Do you think a 1.5 meter extension cable will do it or must it be the 2 meter version?
You need the 2 meter version. I don't find any slack in the 2 meter version cable I purchased.
Hi ! I'm having a problem with importing the hex file, xloader can't find the com port. I followed all your directions and did some tests with the printer on and off, it still doesn't work. Do you have an answer? Thank you !!
Trying to upload the hex file using xloader is finicky at best. Try changing the baud rate to 250000.. It's better to use the arduino Ide, compile, and upload..
same problem ... impossible to read the port com, tried with Xloader and Arduino. Tried also with an older version v2.0.4.4 : doesn't work. I'm stuck with no solution ....
@@lorrainebendele3797 Try using a different cable. Some have stated their port connection on their board was loose. It could also be the driver on your computer. There are so many things that could be affecting it. You would have to diagnose them one by one.
You should buy a SD card long adapter for the lcd so no need to unscrew bottom all the time when wanting to update
I know sometimes it's a chore, but luckily it's not an everyday thing to update.
I am about to do the ANTCLABS BLTouch to my Cr10S-Pro V1. Are you using an updated Tiny Machines firmware? I thought the firmware they have up now was only if you buy the bltouch from Tiny machines which uses a ribbon replacement and uses Z+ port. Also know this is an older video but are you still using the Cr10s Pro? Thanks
I found the updated firmware. Thanks for the video on CR-10s Pro. Good to see people still using this printer.
Kinda late but i also installed my bltouch today, I think the leveling could work but my nozzle temperatur is always 300°. When I turn the printer on, the lcd said that its on 300° but it's cold... Any thoughts?
Very good Tutorial!! But is real need 2meter cable? not easy to find, 1,5 meter is not enough?
Yes 1.5 meter cable is too short. You need the 2 meter
Hi the firmware you've installed on ur cr10s pro does it also have issues like:
1) not being able to reprint the same file again after u finish or stop the print?
2) printer not being able to pause or exchange filament? Like when u hit pause the printer will stop the print instead
No, I do not have those problems. Please take a look at this video. czcams.com/video/9kA9dN2tulI/video.html
I mean ribbon cable .This installation does not requires a jumper on the 30pin daughter board - the included ribbon cable completes the connection from the motherboard up to the 30pin board.please help me.
hi.i have a cr10s pro.and i have a bl touch v3.1 .It seems that the models of the printers are different.for my printer this way not work.into some video use a mini board that is connected to the socket board and sometimes socket cr10s pro V2 cable is used instead.i confused.Have you ever used that method? Do you know another video that you can send me the link to? Please guide me
Hi James, nice and detailed video of the installation of the BLTouch on the old Creality CR10s PRO! I have a small issue that occurs and it has to do with homing and auto bed levelling function. When I Home the printer goes to the middle and drops down until the BLTouch hits te bed. Then it goes up and down again, only this time the printhead stops at around 1cm above the bed. What could be the reason for this? Same when I want to put the measurements, he drops until around 1cm above the bed and then offcourse fails the probing. On the other hand I sometimes have to push in the BLTouch by itself otherwise he wont push it out for Homing and won't even start. Could the BLTouch be damaged? Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!
When you refer to the print head I'm thinking your referring to the nozzle and not the whole assembly. (Where the nozzle hits the bed.) The bltouch will make two probes. First initial probe is a quick probe to get the approximate location of the bed and doesn't retract the needle. The 2nd probe is the refined probe where it tries to get the exact location of the bed, hence the slow movement. On the 2nd probe the needle will retract after hitting the bed. Then the printer will move the nozzle according how you set your z offset. I'm guessing by what your telling me your z offset is off. Normally if done correctly the nozzle will move toward the bed and not away from the bed because the bl touch needle should be longer than the nozzle when extended out of it's housing. I'm thinking quite possibly you didn't install the jumper cap on the z- port.
@@DiyProJamesThanks for your reply, I did however installed the jumper cap... I will unclick and re install the cap again and check. If it it still doesn't work I will make a short CZcams video and provide the link over here to make the problem more clear. Thanks!
@@DiyProJames Here is the video of the movement itself : czcams.com/video/LLfC8yp817c/video.html
(Sorry for the bad quality, it has been taken by smartphone). What I do here is push the pin in from the BLTouch otherwise he wont even push it out or go until the bed itself. Then I push the homing button. He pushes out the pin, reaches the bed, goes up comes back down but remains at around 1cm above the bed.
Bl touch not low enough
I am in a situation where I have a CR-10SPro V1 and have just ordered a BLTouch V3.1 but after watching your excellent video I have realised I need a mount for the BLtouch to replace the one I have removed. @@DiyProJames hi James, thanks for your reply, but the problem I have is that I currently don't have a working printer so I am unable to print one myself and wondered if you could purchase them ready printed. P. S. My bltouch arrived today but I am unable to fit it.
@@eugenewilliamson7805 You might be able to find a mount on amazon. Usually they sell it as a kit like this amzn.to/31mfMvs Not sure if you'll be able to find a stand alone mount, which is one of the reasons many people print it.
and, that relay you moved.....theres an upgrade for that. my cr10s pro came with that upgrade.
Yes, the newer versions come with the heatsink attached. There is extra cost and delay time to find the correct part and shipping so I decided to relocate.
HI, I'm a bit late to the party here. I read all the comments and saw that there might be some differences for putting a BLtouch on a CR10S pro V2 ? What are the differences with your tutorial ? Do I still need a firmware update ?
It's been awhile, but from what I remember it has to do with the wiring. One is negative and one is positive. Don't remember if the v1 or v2 is using positive or negative, but I know they are reversed.
I saw that you have a Micro Swiss hotend on your CR-10S Pro. Is any modifications in the firmware to the Y and X axis offsets for the BL Touch needed when swapping from stock hotend to the Micro Swiss hotend on the CR-10S Pro V2? Or does both hotends have the exact same physical size and so its just a swap and nothing more thats needed to be done? Also, ive read that the screen can be hard bricked when flashing it if the .bin files in the screen folder is not left out, so some guide said that one should leave out the .bin files from the screen folder, dont know if thats correct?
I'm using the cr10s pro V1 so I can't give you a 100% accurate answer. But from what I know the V1 and v2 are virtually the same machine. The change the Z stop to so you don't have to swap out the polarity making it easier to adapt the bltouch on the V2. From what I remember of the hotend because the stock cr10s pro was a clone of the e6 the dimensions on the microswiss offset was slight different. My x offset is -22 and y offset is -45. Also because creality wanted to a proprietary thread for their nozzle on the cr10spro the nozzle seems to be slightly bigger. These offsets should work the same, but if you want to get your own values the easy way you can watch this video: czcams.com/video/VC6Tny5BNMY/video.html
From what I know of screens being bricked is because many people turn off the printer before the completion of the flashing. When complete it should say done on the screen...do not remove power or the sd card before seeing this message.
How did you get the computer to recognize your printer? I'm having an issue with that. NO com port
I was having problems with this one too. As stated I tried several times to get my computer to recognize the printer. You may have to refresh your drivers or update them. Just trial and error. Remove all devices that use usb connection and then try refreshing the drivers and rebooting your computer and printer. Maybe a windows 10 issue.
@@DiyProJames The BLUE CORD that came with the cr10s pro was faulty and thats why I couldnt connect to my computer. Changed cord and BAM!!! Got it connected. Have already replaced a faulty motherboard. And. Watch that USB TYPE connection on the motherboard. It will come off the board because theres no supports for it.
@@VIPPoolsandSpas Congrats! One of the first things I did was try another cord. It didn't work for me. Were you able to get it connected with Cura or Xloader?
@@DiyProJames worked with xloader.
Hi James perfect instructions 👌 i searched for the screen firmware but could not find a specific reference to the cr10s pro, could you sent a direct link to the right one? I have a tiny machine screen installed the bl touch is working but the printer does random strange things like print a little square after bed level in the front left i think the screen firmware gives other instructions to the printer hex, or something, i must say i really feel like a moron, people fix these things like its simple but there are more than 30 hex files for the cr10s pro, now that i found your hex i know what to use thanks for that, now just the right screen firmware
It was working for 6 months then I needed to replace the thermistor... must have touched something wrong ... because the Z-axis will not lower when I select the leveling option. If I power down and move z-arm down until the BLTouch can touch the surface and start up I can control the z movement up and down... until I try leveling again and then every time I select down it clears the z-axis position to zero.
Maybe you modified the firmware? Not sure.
@@DiyProJames Yes you are correct. I have a CR10S Pro and I installed the wrong firmware. Thanks!
My cables are black white and yellow. Do i have to still swap them around?
What is the distance from the bottom of the BLTouch sensor to the bottom of the Nozzle? Does it matter? My sensor failed so I have to replace it(with the BLTouch), but there is no way my printer can print the thingiverse BLTouch fixuture... so I am just buying the fixture that comes with the BLTouch.
The probe of the bltouch needs to lie in between the nozzle. Above the nozzle when stowed. Below the nozzle when deployed.
Hi, Please, here's a beginner question: Do I want to know if CR10S PRO is the same as CR10S PRO V1?
Not sure what you're asking.. Please clarify.
I did not have the same colored wires in the kit that you did, so I just plugged it in. I selected automatic leveling....The BLTouch lights up and it even extends the sensor but as it lowers to the bed it just keeps on going down even though the gauge is completly bottomed out... the gears just keep grinding as if the sensor is not sending back a zero reading to stop. The printer does not save any bed values when I turn it off.... at startup...all axis read as zero'd out. Any idea's?
Forget the colors look at the diagram for the bltouch www.antclabs.com/creality3d-board Often times the it's labeled on the board. If it's not find a diagram for the particular board you have. Then match the corresponding cables. The bl touch is a universal model fitting many printer boards. Meaning the pins on the board may not match the dupont connector order. So always check the diagram schematic, otherwise you may fry your board. Also, sensor is doesn't trigger because the signal is not going through. Might be firmware or hardware. How can it save values when the bltouch is not working?
I did all the video but I loaded the firmware of tinimachines, when I turn it on the printer does not go down and the bltouch remains in the air about 30mm and there is no case that it goes down ... I do not know what the error
Something wrong with firmware or possibly your wiring is not correct.
Great video. One issue. My black and white cable will not connect to the board. I changed the connector ends like shown but the connection on the board will not match up.
Hmm... if you're saying the connector is not snapping in place. Mine is the same. It may feel a little loose. I put some hot glue on my connection. Another way is to get jst connectors and replace the connectors.
When I tried flashing the LCD, it just showed the END! screen immediately after powering on and didn't download anything...
edit: fixed it, somehow I reformatted it wrong. However, there's this thing where it plays loud static instead of audio wherever there's supposed to be
edit: fixed that too, just replaced the bad WAV files from the tinymachines firmware with the default working WAV files from the creality firmware
Great your one your way to getting better quality prints..😀
Do u think should I buy this 3d printer
The cr10spro is a great printer. Just know it takes up a lot of space and if you don't like fiddling with upgrades you can get it with the bltouch installed..
but your video shows other files when you are going to load the fw, I download and that file does not appear called crs10spro
I may have changed the name for reference. I'm not sure which file you're talking about you need to point me in the correct timeline.
There appears to be a wall missing from your 3D object file right below the 'projames' text that is causing a "your model is not manifold' error in Cura.. Easy fix for me but just a heads up. Great content otherwise, thanks!
Thanks for the heads up.. Fixed and reuploaded.
Got as far as plugging the printer in and trying to load the item with x loader . It just sits there saying uploading forever

Is this different than the BL touch that is already on the cr-10s pro I have a BL touch on it.
I'm not sure.. I'm using a genuine 3.1 version bltouch. Which version are you using?
Can you use a sd card extension for the update to levitate this hassle of unscrewing everything in the future?
You don't use the sd card... You connect directly to your printer using the usb to micro usb port. It's the port next to the micro usb slot.. You have to open it up for the initial installation of wires and flashing the lcd panel... If you have done it correctly... The next time you'd just use the micro usb port and connect direct to your computer to flash the mainboard... Hope this helps...
what if my kit didnt come with the jumper? It had everything else tho, also the kit itself was already pre wired. The version they are selling has it all set, but no jumper
Did you perhaps get the kit for the cr10s pro V2?... The V2 does not need a jumper... Perhaps you could contact the vendor and see if they have a spare , purchase a jumper, or return the kit.
DiyProJames I thought maybe so at first too, but from no it does say for the 10s Pro. And when I look at the product listing, all the included items are accurate and it didn’t show it came with the jumper. I’d be fine purchasing it separately, just not sure from where. Kinda hard to find

Hi. I allready have Bltouch V1 wired on my CR 10S Pro. Will I have to rewire it or it should stay as it is, because you have different wiring on motherboard as I do.
If your printer is working.. No reason to do anything to it
Well I did it anyway. Wiring is the same as you did it and it works. V3.1 is better then V1. I have standard deviation on V1 app. 0,007. On V3.1 I have 0,00129.

HI,
Please can you tell me how can I get the firmware for my CR10 S Pro printer, which was purchased in November 2019? I think I will need this firmware because I don't think I ever did any updates. In this case, what do you recommend to do to install BL Touch? My printer currently has a damaged Nozlle fan.
If you have a stock printer there is no need to upgrade the firmware. The only reason you switch out the firmware is if you have upgraded or made some type of change to your 3d printer. The original firmware can be found in the official creality website. You need to find the correct one for your printer. If you need a replacement fan shroud. You can print this. www.thingiverse.com/thing:4226193
@@DiyProJames Hi,
Thanks for the info. However, it is possible that I have updated the Firmware through Curing but without having connected the printer to the computer and therefore I think that the Firmware that is in the printer will be the original.
Please help me, I'm a little confused and I have the following doubts:
1- If I have updated the Firmware through Cura, without having connected to the printer via the cable, is the process in your video the same for installing BL Touch?
2- I will always need to have a folder that contains my Firmware, just like you have on your Desktop, in which case what should I do to find the necessary files in a folder?
3-I think the Firmware from the official creality website is the most recent, in which case I can download it and update my printer and from there create a folder on the desktop and follow your video? Is that it?
NOTE: I just checked when connecting the printer (seeting, printer information) that the version of the Firmware that is installed is 1.70.1.
@@hilariosoares4871 You cannot update the firmware without attaching through the serial port.
1. It would be the same if your could upload a hex file to the printer as long as the hex file was configured for the bltouch. I advise against using cura for firmware update. Use the arduino ide. It is more stable. The firmware configuration has to match any upgrades you make to the printer.
2. No, If you don't plan make any updates or changes to your printer, but it's always good to have a backup file in case something happens.
3. Creality firmware if not most 3d printer firmware is based off Marlin. They make changes to the config file to match any upgrades and hardware changes that may be needed. I have a playlist in upgrading the bltouch for the CR10s Pro. Watch all the videos. They should give you an explanation from where to find the firmware, how to offset, which software to use, how to make changes in the config file, and how to make the hardware installation.
@@DiyProJames Hi,
Thank you for your clarification. However, I want to install the original BL touch that I purchased.
1- In that case, will I need to do a firmware update?
2- I wanted to create a folder with the file from github.com/InsanityAutomation out of curiosity, but I can't see it the same way you did after downloading it. Is it because I have to have the Arduino Soft installed on the computer?
@@hilariosoares4871 If you purchased the bltouch separately from the printer you will have to update the firmware. If you purchased them together preinstalled then you don't have to update.
2. You need to find the correct version of the firmware and install it. you might have to modify the configuration.h file using arduino ide. Most likely you're not seeing it the same as mine because there are many different versions of firmware.. You need to find the correct one that fits your printer. I have a video on the basics on how to find your firmware. Please review it. Thank You.
Is it normal for the BLTouch smart v3.1 to stay solid red after start up?
Yes,
My bltouch not deploying... can you help me ?
You need to provide more information.
Please help.
I use BL-Touch, but probably not V3. The connection is the same as in the video. FW I use the original from Creality specifically CR-10sPro_1.60.8 BL. Unfortunately, I found a bug in the firmware.
I wanted to update the FW, but if I follow you, after turning on, the BL-Touch will only extend and retract a few times, but will not continue in the Z axis.
I tried both 10SPro_BLT_BIL_DW7.hex and 10SPro_BLT_UBL_DW7.hex. Neither works properly.
Can you advise me where I make a mistake?
Well thank you.
On power up it is supposed to deploy and retract 2 times. When you use a .hex file it's firmware that has already been compiled and there is no way to know what components are activated and deactivated. My advice is for you to find a clean firmware for the printer you are using and use the arduino ide to compile your own firmware. This eliminates some of the guess work of finding where things are going wrong. Most likely if the power on self test is ok then possible your z stop is the issue whether miss wiring or via the firmware..
@@DiyProJames So, unfortunately, it is beyond my power. I tried uploading FW for CR10S PRO V2 to my printer and the printer is working. It's a pity that the DW7 FW doesn't work. It contains various good functions, such as entering a calibration value for the extruder, etc.
Here's how my DW7 firmware printer behaves:
drive.google.com/file/d/13PsBi75loLrQnSJTdDFF2lyEIPZg2QNB/view?usp=sharing
Can I do something wrong when I load DW7 firmware for CR10S PRO V2 into the printer - specifically this 10SProV2_BIL_DW7.hex?
When I currently have an original from Creality for CR10S PRO V2 in the printer - specifically this Marlin1.1.6_CR-10S Pro V2_20190709_V1.70.0 BL.hex and everything works fine?
@@mclareniak I'm not able to view any of your shared videos... If you're bltouch self test works, but it's bltouch is not being triggered. There is a possibility z stop switch wires are crossed...
@@DiyProJames Try here czcams.com/video/hXFewOHhEMk/video.html
If the wires were crossed, the original firmware would not work either. But with the original, both with the original CR-10sPro_1.60.8 BL and with the new CR10S PRO V2 CR-10S ProV2_V1.70.0 BL, it works.
@@mclareniak This video is not of a correctly functioning bltouch. A properly functioning bl touch does not have blue light flickering... Again this most likely this is most likely because of the z stop wires. Most likely they are switched. Also on the cr10s pro version1 you need to put a end cap.
After updating to marlin 2.0 i printed, best print i ever had, but now it wont print anymore it keeps cooling indefinitely....any thoughts?
Not sure. Are you saying the nozzle is not getting up to temperature because of cooling?
@@DiyProJames just after a print it had a problem cooling down and reaching a temperature where it would initialize printing again, i figured it out at the same time i updated, i changed the hot end fan to a noctua fan, it didnt provide enough cooling so the printer temps were off
@@DiyProJames After looking into it further it wasn't even the fan providing insufficient cooling, it was that after the update the printer was running an error because of the file name of the gcodes. @@saivyia Many people like the noctua fans because they are silent. I was planning on upgrading to these fans until I found out silence comes at a price. These fans don't provide enough air flow and on longer prints and you will have heat creep especially with a stock hotend.

@@DiyProJames tank you
@@hilariosoares1882 welcome
I installed a v2 bltouch on my pro. It doesnt home correctly and keep digging into the bed. Would you know what I could've done wrong
Printer is a v2 or bltouch is v2?
@@DiyProJames a v1 printer I think. And a v2 bltouch
@@channantha did you off set the z and reverse the z stop?
@@DiyProJames I cant offset it? When I go touch autolevel it just drives into the bed.
I'm uploading a video to see what its doing
Do we still need to flash the firmware ? As of December 2020?
Yes, any type of hardware upgrades you make to your printer the firmware should be updated.
@@DiyProJames I am on the newest official creality firmware. You are talking about third party firmware right? Not the official ones?
@@DatFunnyPerson If you can find the official creality firmware and get the firmware to stick using the hex file that's great, but most likely you will have issues with getting the firmware to stick with hex files as most people find out... There is no real "Official firmware" ... The firmware is based off marlin which is open source.... So Creality uses marlin to compile their firmware in hex format for end user to use... But if you take a little time and effort to get to know the code you'll have a much easier time down stream when you make upgrades... Once it's in hex format you can't just open up the code and see what was changed...
Now there are firmware versions that come with the bltouch and ones that don't.. You need to find the right one...

@@DiyProJames thank you. Damn changing the sensor is difficult :/
@@DatFunnyPerson It's like that for everyone in the beginning. Get yourself familiar with upgrading firmware with the arduino IDE. This is the firmware I use. Most likely you will have to change out the offsets because the hotend I'm using is not stock. www.thingiverse.com/thing:4191875/files
kinda late but how long does it take with xloader? mines been going for aboue 20 min and still says uploading. any idea?
It should probably be under a minute. It's often glitchy using xloader. The best method I found was to compile your own firmware and use the arduino ide.
@@DiyProJames thank you for the reply, i am now having an issue where its only saying 0 bytes uploaded and i have no idea how to fix
@@yzkid9747 try changing the baud rate. It's glitchy at best.
@@DiyProJames so I'm thinking it's happening when I download the hex files. It's adding a .gz at the end of the .hex. so it reads as 10spro_blt.dw7.hex.gz. would that have any issues with it?
This was my issue, I've never messed with .hex or .gz files before. After looking Into it a .gz file Is am archive file. I had to open it with 7zip and extract it. I feel dumb. Been messing with this for hours now and this was my issue
How is your experience after this upgrade?
I have not had some of the misfortunes others have complained about the cr10s pro. I really love the printer. With the regular capacitive sensor and stock bed. I did have to adjust the sensor once in a while, but with the bltouch I don't really have to adjust it unless you replace the nozzle because some nozzles will have a slight height difference. Adjusting the z offset is quick and easy on using the touch screen on the printer. So I'm pretty happy with the bltouch upgrade.
DiyProJames yesterday I printed the bracket and got my sensor ready, today I’ll begin with the upgrade process, I’ll let you know how is the process with my printer!!! Thanks a lot for this video!!! Greetings from Costa Rica!!! Nice channel
@@manuelcastrou79 Good Luck... It's an easy process just takes a little time..
DiyProJames Today I finish the upgrade I spent 3 hours because I installed the anti back slash springs too, After the upgrade I am very happy with my first print looks nice! Thanks a lot for this great video!! Greetings from Costa Rica.
@@manuelcastrou79 Great.. Happy Printing.!
does this firmware support power loss recovery?
Yes, marlin firmware supports power loss recovery... If it's not active you would have to use the arduino ide and activate it in the configuration.adv.h
@@DiyProJames Super video , great job, I follow it and install BLT on my CR10pro v1, I upgrade firmware throught XLODER and hey file, and power loss recovery doesn't work, I understood about Marlin but how can upgrade by marlin?
Hello, what the hotend you use ?
i'm currently using the micro swiss all metal hotend. amzn.to/3lNDxFb
@@DiyProJames Thanks. How you can say about this hotend? It is good replacement of standard?
@@wsawsawsa There is no reason to replace the stock hotend unless your planning on printing plastics other than pla... Some of the plastics require a hotter heat requirement and wears the brass nozzle faster.... So if you want print plastics that require temperatures above 240 C replace with an all metal hotend... The most important reason for changing hotend is @ around 250 C the teflon tube starts gassing which is toxic to humans and animals.. The all metal hotend has a heat break which diminishes the heat transfer to the teflon tube allowing you to print at higher temperatures...
@@DiyProJames Thank you for exhaustive answer.
plaese help me
Thanks for this video, really helpful! I've got the kit linked below sitting next to me and am about to wire it up to my 10s Pro V1. Hopefully it all goes to plan and works. I think I'll print a BLTouch mount just in case the one that it comes with is not compatible with the CR10s Pro.

I think the cable might be long enough. You will just have extra loose parts.. since it's for the ender 3. Let us know if it works out. Thanks..
@@DiyProJames All installed and working well. It came with a bracket for the BLTouch which I ended up fitting to the fan shroud so the BLTouch is part of that rather than the red anodised main part. It was the only way it would mount and works/fits perfectly to it (possibly it's only an Ender 3 mount usually?). Currently printing on a glass bed and it's looking perfect. The cable is *just* comfortably long enough to reach the 400mm max height of the CR10s Pro.
@@HenleyBailey Great don't forget to offset the x y and z for the bltouch.
@@DiyProJames It's pretty much in the exact same place as the original sensor so no issues with it missing the bed. I've just updated my first comment as it wasn't too clear. :)
Too many ads.
Too much irrelevant talking/video.
Too long.
Not straight to the point.
I'll just keep watching Teaching Tech's videos. Fraction of the time and all to the point.

@@DiyProJames I WANT to see your videos bro. Because I have the same printer and want to do the same upgrades. But damn. They're too long. And if I FF, I'll miss something.
Is this for bltouch 3.1 or bltouch 3 thank you
This is for a 3.1
