Thew calling Soudwave a Simp is somehow both the most cursed and accurate thing I've ever heard about Soundwave and Megatron's relationship.

@@QueenStodge I may be misremembering, but if I recall correctly, at least in the Japanese version of the show, SB had a pretty hardcore crush on Megatron. Although, like I said, I could be thinking of someone else; the point (or rather joke, really) that I'm making is that there already is a "Desimpticon".

Being a tank always brings out the best in Megatron. He was quoted in some comic saying something like "if you're stuck in a room with no way out, transform into something with a giant cannon, and blast yourself an exit hole"
8:38 I kinda love they did this mold again for the Kingdom show tie-in and a "premium version" and the deco's only gotten worse. The ONLY clean one is the shatter glass edition. Either the design crew is competing to one up each other, they are deliberately trolling Thew.

I'm actually a little bummed you didn't mention the crazy lance mode they did when you shove his sword in the barrel of the fusion cannon. Seems like the kind of thing that would have gotten a bunch more Thewy fun wordplay going. Oh well. Still a REALLY fun figure.
And for what it counts, that Netflix one is actually pretty stunning in person thanks to the metallic paint. I was gonna just skip it since I have the original one and the Selects G2 one (Which has the fusion cannon plomped proudly on his shoulder as a proper G2 boi should) but when I saw him in person I just.... couldn't not.
You can do something similar with the Soundwave gun thingy
@@nightlypiano4116 Sadly, I got really badly QC'd on my Soundwave, so I can't do the giant lance gun. The port on the back of his G1 gun just won't plug onto anything.

Having seen Earthrise Megs’s “sword”, I’m just gonna stick with this one. At least Siege’s foldy blades can pull off a sort of railgun look around the second cannon.
Despite the mess that the Siege battle splatters can be, I feel that they fit Megatron the best: as a miner-turned-gladiator-turned-warlord (at least according to Aligned lore, I do not yet know his origin according to Netflix), it makes sense that he’d have plenty wear and tear about his chassis. He’s the *BIG AND SERIOUS* leader of the Decepticons, he has more important things to do than buff out all his scratches and dings.

Me happily rewatching cybertron and wishing hasbro would use more unicron trilogy designs for new figures.
Kinda wish the galaxy force Optimus in siege came with his matrix key from the show. Just give the key a tab for weapon ports on for him to hold and it feels like galaxy force/cybertron.

gushers114 IKR I have the constructicon coloured one and all it needs is a head swivel and some outward shoulder movement and an elbow swivel and this could be added without changing much for the figure

I liked Siege Megs alright at first, then I painted his head with the Marvel black helmet/yellow eyes and extra red on the abdomen and now he really pops.

Thew's hair is an epic journey of it's own. From long haired rocker, to shaved clean, to whatever this is ... You just never know what Thew will do. That's part of why we love him!
Yeah I think I'll sleep on Earthrise Megatron, pick up a second Siege when he's on clearance to Reprolabel up, maybe get the Netflix version just for the Battlemasters

Oh. My. God. FINALLY! Been asking for this for ages! Yours doesn't get stuck when you transform the front and have to slot it over the chest and head does it? Also, the kibble works great as massive Missile Launchers!
I'm also first. That's never happened before!
Try keeping the front treads untabbed just a little from the front piece when you do it! It still clashes a bit, but it's a lot better than trying to force things past each other when the whole front is already fully tabbed together :)

Sooo 4 months in the future I can confirm that little gray gun that comes with Soundwave is for Megatron. The Netflix Soundwave comes with it as well, colored to match the silver Netflix Megatron figure.

I'm gonna be honest, I just got through watching the Netflix series, or the first season anyway, and let me say, they knocked it out of the park in my opinion, great writing, awesome animation, some awesome character arcs, and they even gave more depth to Optimus prime's character, instead of just being the wise, Captain America like, perfect father figure, something rarely seen, if ever, in Transformers movies/tv shows. I'd dare even say that so far this may be the best Transformers series since Prime, or even Beast Wars!
Thews hair is my favorite triple changer.

Watching this a year later and thinking specifically on the Earthrise shade...yeah...I bought one too.
And Classic Animation, Netflix, Netflix Spoiler Pack, and Shattered Glass. It's not MY fault this mold is good or that Hasbro likes to take my money! I just like to give them every penny I have so I can enjoy my increasing lack of space in my home. I mean, enjoy my home display!
Seeing Soundwave in this review reminded me on how impossible it’s been to find him in stores so the Hasbro pulse exclusive cassettes actually have a purpose…☹️

I have the spoiler pack Megatron pimped up with hedgemons ball and chain but I also love the titans return triple changer Megatron. He was my first when starting my collection.

Soundwave's gun-stick can be used by sticking his shoulder launcher and sonic blaster on the ends to make a gladiators-style double ended bonking stick. Now if one would argue that to be a proper use for the accessory or not is another matter... but you can do it!

I prefer the Netflix version of this toy... looks more metal, I think. Overall, great mold.
When I first bought this figure off ebay, I thought it went through some kind of painting accident. It was only later did I learn that it was suppose to be painted on battle damage. It reminds me of those expensive jeans that are purposefully stained with grass.
You nearly got me with this one Thew but I'm sticking with my repro labels-paint touch up-titan's return megs as long as I can. Those vehicle modes carry the damn thing. Would love to see my boy turn into something that's not a dodgy H tank.

I have the 35 year alt design of this Megatron and he’s SUCH A GOOD BOI. He’s damn near white and looks cel shaded. He’s fighting to be my favorite from this line along with Soundwave
I was also a bit uncertain about this mould until a little while after I got it, but he is a banger. So much so that I actually also wound up picking up the Netflix version, which I think looks even better...
And if you unscrew the sword blade bits and cut the shaft in half, you lose none of functionality, but can also use the blade halves in other places (5mm peg holes FTW), while he carries a nice clean second cannon...

Seriously where is that armada Optimus leaked forever a go. they slapped galaxy force in siege why not armada in Earthrise or Kigndom cause from the image it looks really good and possible. I just hope it’s put in retail and not some hasbro pulse exclusive or amazon/generations selects thing, that it’s on shelves for anyone one to pick up with no shipping or store exclusive hassle

Just finished watching Siege and I loved every minute of it!
I have both Megatron and Soundwave. I feel like an idiot for never noticing that Soundwave's gun goes with Megatron so well. I've just kept that piece at the back of my shelf where they're standing.
Who knew 2020 was gonna be mostly me waiting on the edge of my seat to see what's going on with Thews hair. Weird ass year.
The amount of alliteration you used to describe Megatron's arms and armor had me in for a laughing loop. I will say though, I could see myself getting the cell shaded Megs.
What I would like is a G1 looking show like the Machinima or even this War For Cybertron Netflix series with the quality, writing, acting and vibe of the Transformers Prime series. Even a scoring since that was so good and Epic as well, that being said Cullen and Welker and perhaps all of the cast of TF PRIME could again come together and work in the series. That would be epic!
When I got this guy it finally felt like I had a Proper Megatron y'know? And honestly I don't think I need another G1 one like ever. Love how it serves up that design just right but also brings so much Original Cóntënt

I just watched this Review After Insta Binging Season 1 of the WFC Trilogy SIEGE on Netflix. I WILL be completely Bias I LOVED every minute of the show ill probable re-watch it this week and maybe next week to! Brig on Chapter 2 Earthrise! However you cant rush Perfection!
"The same, but worse," yeah, that pretty much sums up my thoughts on Earthrise Megatron. Like seriously, everything else in WFC-year-2 is made of amazingness that makes my mouth drool and my wallet cry... Siege, but better. How the heck did they get Megatron so wrong when they got everything else so very, very right?
Oh well, at least Siege Megatron is still great and will work perfectly well opposite Earthrise Optimus Prime... if I ever find the latter un-scalped.

It seems as if they put a lot more care into the designs & took their time to really increase the quality overall compared to previous lines.
Earthrise is still a huge step up from past lines & definitely has its gems in it, but I can already see some corners being cut here & there unfortunately.
Siege was just the huge breath of fresh air that Transformers needed and I feel like they nailed almost every part of it (except the battle damage, which some dislike, but I personally don't mind).
The alt universe Dead Prime is still MSRP on Amazon
