The Rinse and Refresh is supposed to be acidic to remove hard water minerals and leave clothes softer without leaving a waxy residue. Softeners tend to leave residue behind on clothes and washing machines. Softeners tend to damage washing machines due to the residue they leave behind. They also leave greasy stains on clothes. I’m not an expert this is just what I’ve been told by several appliance repair individuals. I stopped using softener and no longer see greasy spots on clothes. I started using citric acid in my softener dispenser and my clothes seem soft. I do miss the scent of softeners. When I use scented beads they leave greasy spots on my clothes. I’m guessing they must have some sort of wax. Thank you for your videos!
I totally understand what you’re saying with the fabric softeners and beads. One of my family members told me if you’re going to use softener then always use warm or hot water so it desolves properly. Now I also love the smell of fabric softener but I would like to just use a good detergent and call it a day. As in my video I’ve been trying the All Free and Clear detergent. I’ve been very impressed so far. Soft clothes and no static cling and things are clean. No bells and whistles but clean is a good thing. lol 😂 The rinse and refresh is okay but not my favorite but I wanted to give it a try.
Did you like the Downy Rinse and Refresh? I’ve used it but there’s just not in enough in every bottle. I use it in just a couple of washes. I wished they would make it more concentrated and put more in larger bottles. In my opinion it didn’t leave any scent on my clothes after drying them. I’ll stick to using acidic powder in the softener dispenser. Only downside is that it has no scent. Thank you for your awesome videos!
Bunky your lucky, I can't use anything with a scent in it because it will aggravate my allergies and I will go into a sneezing fit!!! BTW Bunky, I noticed one thing on your washer that's different then mine, When my machine stops spinning it goes into a roll out back and forth for about 1 minute to loosen the clothes from the drum, and I noticed that when your machine stops spinning it shuts off without doing that and unlocks the door and sounds the tone without any roll out!!! Just wondering how two machines that are exactly alike work so differently in the end??? Thanks for the video and have a great night... Bob
Hi Bob, Mine does do that but I believe it depends on what settings you have the machine on. Check out the other washer videos. I just double checked and yes on some cycles and no on others.
@@Bunkysworkshop Oh O.k. Bunky, Because I basically use Heavy Duty, Permanent Press, & Quick Wash and I know that they all do a roll out in my machine so I will have to watch if I decide to use any other cycle and see if it does it on them??? Thanks Again Bob
