    Wow. Sorry bike revert here, so let's loved these insane little 2 stroke engined monsters... Lol. Every F1 driver starts in karting, there's a reason why. Super high speed, tiny wheelbase men's you gotta react like LIGHTNING. Am F1 car seems ponderous and slow reacting compared to a tiny kart.
    There's the same reason commercial airlines already like to hire ex fighter pilots. Those big ole here can't do anything fast enough to catch a guy used to a winged F1 fighter plane. It's like driving a Ferrari then driving a greyhound bus.
    Unlike the idjits that down voted this video I give y'all 👍👍👍👍👍. THANK YOU. There just may be a kart in this ex MX racers future.

      But it's a huge leap to go from pushing a reset button on a console to pushing a wheelchair from a real world crash injury.
      That's what separates racers from people driving fast, a willingness to crash at high speed. Anyone can drive a car 200mph in a straight line, try turning at 100 mph though, while other ballgame.
      Which drivers started out on gaming. I remember atv show where games actually won a seat on a Toyota racing team racing sedans. Is that the feeder system to F1 now?

    • @scramdaz
      @scramdaz Před 5 lety

      Vortex VLR has more grip than the GTMax, so it doesn't lock its rears as easily and feels more stable. The Vortex also tires you out quicker. I'd suggest a rib protector too.

      @@wink2470 I see I can control the gtmax wheel spin most of the time sometimes it will do something unexpected but I'm mostly on top of it I feel I'd set faster lap times in the vortex which accelerates faster tho the vortex or the gtmax

    • @scramdaz
      @scramdaz Před 5 lety

      The vortex only has rear brakes. I don't know what tires are on the GTMax, but they are not very sticky. I'm actually surprised they let people drive on them. You can't push very hard on the brake pedal at all before they lock. The Vortex tires are way way better, and the kart chassis is a race chassis, not a heavy rental kart chassis like the GTMax. So the chassis is tuned to bend and grip and turn better. You can still lock the rears and spin, but you can push much harder on the pedal before it happens. The seat in the Vortex is also a real karting seat. It wraps around your ribs, where the GTMax seat has very little support. Because the cornering force of the kart goes right through your ribs, they can hurt afterwards. The gas is touchy in the Vortex, it doesn't like part throttle, and when you do go to the throttle, it can kick like a mule. Maybe they accidentally gave me more time in the kart than usual, but the 10 minutes on track felt like an hour. You can get tired and make mistakes. The other commenter had a different experience than me, so I guess you'll have to find out for yourself whether you find the Vortex more physical than the GTMax.

      Not much. They are not an absolute standard class. You could look up specs and build your own. That said. If you value your own time at even more than $5 an hour, you're not going to build a good one for scratch than you can buy one.

    Having the clutch as the only way to kill the engine, isn't a good idea.
    In case of a stuck throttle at high rpm, you will have a very hard time stopping the motor using the clutch.
    In such a senario applying hard braking and upshifting until the engine dies, is bad for the clutch disks.
    Installing an electric ignition kill switch on the steering wheel is by far the best solution, works any time 100%.

    • @FioraniMotorsports

      And trust me it is SCARY !!
      I had also tried (for practice), to block the air intake with my palm, but it takes more than 10 sec
      to kill the motor.
      Of course there are many ways to skin a cat, but to my opinion the electric kill switch is a peace of mind.
