Looks great! I’m actually about to paint our bathroom vanity creamy mushroom! I painted the bead board in our kitchen with that color and now I’m just going to use the leftover 👌🏼
Thank you! That's awesome! Isn't it such a pretty color?!
You are the best channel for osce thank you
Very nice👌🏽💯
Nice job! I liked the old hardware better, but perhaps you will use it on a different project.
Thank you so much! Yes, I liked it too, but was going for a different look. I definitely kept it though to use for a future project :)
Nice work
Wow..lovely
Thank you!!
It’s beautiful! Did you paint it inside your home or outside in the garage, etc? I was wondering if debris (pollen, etc) ends up in it outside? Thanks!
Thank you! I painted it outside and the only thing I had issues with were bugs getting caught in the paint here and there. I would recommend if you're worried about pollen or anything else, 100% do the primer outside. As for the paint, I've used low fume paints inside and it's not been an issue as long as you can air it out a bit. Hope that helps!
@@thesimplehomeplace thanks!!
Hello. Nice tutorial. What substance did you apply before you sandpapered and then painted? And what paint did you use? I'd be glad if you answered. Thanks in advance 🌹. 30.01.2024, 07:59 a.m
Hi, thank you! I used wood filler to fill in holes, sanded, primed, then painted with Behr satin enamel indoor paint in the color Creamy Mushroom. Here's the full length video if you want to check it out: czcams.com/video/_RAjvAf7AM4/video.html
What js the primer you used ? Is this a water based primer or oil based one
It's actually a shellac based primer. It's called Zinsser B-I-N primer and you should be able to find it at most hardware stores. I got it at Home Depot!
How to avoid strokes being seen with a paint brush?
If you use a really good paint like the one I did, you don't really see any strokes with the paint brush, but you could use a roller or if you've got one, a paint sprayer, which will give you the smoothest look.
What’s the name of the primer again? I have a big project with laminate furniture and I am trying to get all the tips I can. Thanks in advance
It's the Zinsser BIN Primer in the red can. Good luck with your project!
Does the paint marks go away after you do one with the second coat ?
Yes. The primer is super streaky, but once you paint over it and allow the paint to dry there aren't any paint strokes left over.
Wouldn’t Painting it with a Roller Give You Smoother Surfaces Though?
In theory, probably, but I don't think it matters. I didn't have any issue with the surface being smooth, especially after painting over everything.
Ellerinize sağlık!!Ama eski hali daha güzeldi!!! İtalyan cevizi rengi vernik atılabilirdi tabiiki bu benim düşüncem.mobilyalar orjinal haliyle daha güzel
Siz güle güle kullanın beyaz da ferahlık veriyor ❤💐
Normally I would agree if this was a real solid wood, but it's not, it's plastic laminate with no real wood veneer. But trust me, if this was solid wood in good condition, I would've never paint it :)
I guess this also works for laminate kitchen cabinets??
It definitely should, although I've never tried it. You may want to look into what paint works best for cabinets, but I'd assume the process would be the same!

Is this ordinary pant or any special ??
The primer is a shellac primer and the paint is an indoor paint/primer combo. I used Behr!
Hello, do you need to prime? Or can you just buy paint with primer in it? Also can you use any paint on wood? Thank you
Hi! When it comes to painting laminate, you have to prime it with a primer that will grip to the surface. The shellac primer I used works great. If you don't prime first, the paint will peel off, regardless if it has a primer in it or not, because it needs something rough to stick to. The paint I used was a two in one, which helped cut down on the amount of coats I needed over top of the base primer.
When it comes to what paint to use on wood, you can use many types of paint. It really depends on if it's real wood or not, if it's raw wood, et cetera. I hope that helps, but let me know if you have other questions!
Better resuilt with spreyer
What kind of paint is being used?
It's Behr satin indoor paint in the color Creamy Mushroom :)
Do you use a top coat ?
I didn't on this piece and it's held up really well since I used a better quality paint, but if you're worried about it, I'd say definitely go ahead and do it.
What paint?❤
It's Behr in the color Creamy Mushroom
Did you sand the entire top? If not, how well did the paint do in adherence? Are you using Zinzer?
I only scuff sanded minimally and hardly any on top. And yes, I used Zinsser and the paint adhered really well to it. Using that primer is an absolute must when you're painting laminate in my opinion. Here's the link to the full video if you want to check it out :) czcams.com/video/_RAjvAf7AM4/video.html
Wat is paint shade name ?
It's creamy mushroom by Behr :)
Only respectable type of painting old furniture lol
