How To Tan Wash Furniture

Do you need to condition the wood or no? Amazing job. I am stuck on a cabinet project and not sure if I can find fusion products near me, I'm on a time budget:(

Thank you! And no, I don’t condition the wood prior to avoid darkening my wash. You can use any tan paint you have on hand, Fusion is just my preferred choice!

I like to use Varathane brand, water based polyurethane!

@@restorereimagined IDK if it's my computer, but the final looked warmer toned than the paint wash. Did the Varathane add the warmth do u think?

Nice!! Have you tried heirloom traditions paint? Would love your take on it vs fusion. I’ve tried both.

I have tried HTP and honestly wasn’t a fan personally, I thought it was very thick and harder to work with than Fusion!

When you said 50/50 ratio.. do you mix 50 percent paint/water in the container? Plus use the water spray bottle?

For this I just mixed it into my paint can since it was all but empty! The mister bottle helps to give more working time before drying.
