Painted And Stained MCM Dresser Flip
zhlédnutí 249Před měsícem
Another FB marketplace score! Again, I had to drive way out of my area to purchase but that’s okay because these MCM pieces are SOO worth it. My intention was to fully restore it but with it having a laminate top, it wasn’t going to turn out the way I had first intended but I loved that I was able to keep the beautiful wood grains on the drawers! What do you guys think? I think the tan wash tur...

Hey - I recognise those pulls. Good job of recycling :)
Always recycle when I can! (:
Love the tone of the wood you chose and the new pulls are fantastic
Thanks a bunch!
Love it!!!
Thank you!
When you said 50/50 ratio.. do you mix 50 percent paint/water in the container? Plus use the water spray bottle?
Yes, that’s correct!
When you spray front like that does the paint not get in cracks or make door/drawers stick?
No, I do lighter coats to avoid that! Once I finish spraying with the drawers in, I remove them and spray what I missed.
That turned out nice! Love the color!
Thank you so much!!
What color did u use
Woodwick by Fusion Mineral Paint!
Thats so gorgeous! I'm trying to find inspiration for redoing a 90's pine chest of drawers of my Mums, wish I had something mid century to paint instead!
Thank you so very much! Mid century pieces are so fun to work with!
That's stunning!❤
Thank you!!
Absolutely amazing 🤩 well done!
Thank you!! 😊
What color is that ? I love it@@restorereimagined
It’s gorgeous!!
Thank you!
Lovely ❤❤it
Thank you!
The music is waaaaaay too loud!!
I agree, that was a failed edit on my part.
I have a very similar dresser with chest, nightstand and headboard. I painted in Smoke by Benjamin Moore, which is a gray/blue/green color with brass toned straight bar handles.
Sounds absolutely beautiful!
Love
Love it!
Awesome job. Thanks for the tips!
You bet!
Is this the color coal black by chance?
Yes it was!
Was this a heavy dresser? 😍
Luckily it wasn’t too bad!
Where are you selling to have such success? FB marketplace? @restorereimagined
What stain did u use?
Nice job
Did you mix water into the paint can or just using the spray bottle to add water?
For this I just mixed it into my paint can since it was all but empty! The mister bottle helps to give more working time before drying.
Great piece! You have such a talent to flip these pieces of furniture.
If it runs off the stir stick, its good. If it drips off the stir stick, thin it out
Gorgeous! What color is that?
Coal Black by Fusion!
Precioso, me ha encantado la terminación
Bellísimo
Great job you didnt do it green like all the flippers
Nice!
Came out nice!
NICE!
I❤ like
Wow😮❤❤❤
I would've done a clear coat with no stain cause that grain is beautiful
Different strokes for different folks. Show us your version
What is that, techno Alan Parson's? Half expected to hear "I am the eye in the sky..."
Beautiful 💜
❤ BELLISIMO❤
Have the same one…works well….especially when you properly mix in water…….not so well when you do not…as I learned……
I just bought one the other day and didn't mix latex paint with water because it advertised as not needing to. Turned out OK but could be smoother. I'm excited to try my next piece after adding water.
Wow! It’s Georgeous😮❤ What color did you use?
Cast Iron by Fusion! Thank you!!
Congratulations! Love seeing your work. You are very talented.
Nobody ever shows the whole paint job, after it dries do you remove drawers to spray the trim? And how do you prep for the body, bags, tape or nothing?
Personally, I like to hand paint the drawer trim. I have a workshop that I spray in so I don’t worry about taping or anything. I have a few other videos on my furniture process from start to finish.
That turned out beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much ♥️
