I'm going to tell you right now that everyone in the world knows a Queen song, they just don't know that they know it. I'll give a freebie! We Will.. We Will.. ROCK YOU! People who don't understand that Queen never had 1 sound don't realize that songs they know are from them because of a preconceived notion of their music! You have such a journey to go on!! I wish I could hear them for the first time all over again!
I just commented this very thing on another reaction channel! Everyone knows a few queen songs- they just didn’t know they did.
As one Moore to another Moore …. Completely agree!! 😀
i would had went with stomp stomp clap, cuz thats all thats needed to recognise it :3
I don't think that would have worked. Tempo can't be relayed through text, so if you stomp too slow or too fast it won't sound the way it's supposed to. I think to those of us who grew up on Queen, it seems like that would be a no brainer because it's impossible to not hear it in our heads.
@@megmoore1110 Tbh i was one of those who didnt know of queen till i was around 19? i think, i just knew some songs from movies earliest (the tempo) from basketball events as absolutley everyone in the audiance did that all the time
Do the live one in Montreal 1981 as well you will not regret it believe me. 🙂
Yes...You'll love it!!
Truth!!!!
YESSS
i came to say just that!
its a must
I am glad to have been alive when Freddie was here.
Now you have to watch the live version SOMEBODY TO LOVE live in Montreal
Queen - live aid. BEST 25mins of live music EVER!!
This studio version is great, but you need to see Somebody to Love, live from Montreal 1981! There just aren’t enough words to describe it !!!!!!!
Freddie is one of the Best performers with one of the finest voices Ever. With him passing so early in his life, the whole World lost so many Wonderful things we all enjoyed. Thank you Freddie. . . . for giving us all you had while you were here !
Queen are LEGENDS! Should watch live aid concert 1985
Freddie loved Aretha Franklin's gospel style singing very much and he wrote this song as a tribute to her. Pls, check out the live Montreal 81 version.
A duet with them would have been🔥
"This man can sing." In the history of understatement, that one is way on up there.
What else should you check out by them? Put a list of tracks on your wall and throw a dart at it. You're likely to hit something good.
Quite possibly the greatest singer in history.
@@matthewpopow6647 I won't be the one to argue with you.
Have a great night.
Roger Taylor, the drummer, had a high register that was amazing in backups, and it came out, like the eighties
The high backup in this song the high falsetto at the end there is Freddie not Roger.
You need to check out “In The Lap of the Gods” live at the Rainbow 1974. Roger’s solo falsetto will stun you. This version, not the revisited one. czcams.com/video/xNmrj5nTMOc/video.html
Roger is totally amazing with " dog whistle " his own falsetto!
@@ZENOBlAmusic Right, but at 4:53 the high voice is Roger's.
Bohemian rhapsody is another. Fat bottom girls. Killer queen. Dont stop me now. Another one bites the dust. Under pressure is a good starting point for more Queen.
All of their songs were brilliant
Freddie Mercury was one of the best song writers of all time
"Love of my life" .... that Queen track made me cry... everytime
They just sang at Queen Elizabeth’s 75th Jubilee last week with Adam Lambert as frontman- since Freddy is no longer with us.
As others have said, watch the live version to truly appreciate the talent of this band
Who Wants to Live Forever is heart wrenching but so beautiful.
GREAT REACTION!!!
My first introduction to Queen was Killer Queen then Bohemian Rhapsody came out and It was a WTF moment for me.
They are even better live. Although they had some pretty legendary competition they owned Live Aid.
PLEASE, PLEASE. You must listen to George Michael singing this in honour of Freddie, at his memorial concert. He was to that concert what Queen was to Live aid in 1985. Sheer spine tingling performances by two singers touched by genius and both sadly no longer with us.
Sleep well Freddie and George.🥰
Yes to that!
And the story behind that performance is unbelievable.
His lover at the time, Anselmo Feleppa, had just been diagnosed with AIDS and the concert was in Freddie's honor and for AIDS awareness.
George said, “I went out there knowing I had to honor Freddie and I had to pray for Anselmo.”
The really high pitched runs (and that part that sounds like a guitar!) is actually Roger Taylor (drummer). Freddie described him as a "dog whistle"!
The song was covered in lots of movies & tv shows. Happy Feet was one of them, others were Ella Enchanted (Anne Hathaway sang it there) and Glee.
Gotta say Anne Hathaway totally slew me in that song. :)
my favorite band of all time. no other Super Stars quite like Queen. ❤❤❤
Outstanding song with a sort of gospel feel to it. Thank you for your reaction.Queen is best live, definitely react to this song live at Montreal. Mind blowing performance.
OMG am I actually your first comment!? I just discovered you and I really enjoy your reactions keep up the good work! I'm in California I'm 52 years old I'm a white female and I just love watching you dive into the rabbit hole of Eminem. And your video that says why do I love this because it's queen! Got to love Freddie Mercury not sure how many Queen songs you have done I'm going to have to go through your channel now and check. :-) but keep up the good work we love you in California. :-) ❤️❤️ Dannie W ❤️❤️
Enjoying your Queen reactions. Looking forward to watching you discover the ENORMITY that is Queen! Enjoy!!
Your face says it all! Welcome to Queen! So so much more to enjoy!
A lot of Queen songs you hear in Movies without knowing about Queen, I first heard "Somebody to Love" in a movie called "Ella Enchanted" where they sang this song, then I heard it in "Happy Feet" at some point, and then I've heard "We Will Rock You" and "We are the Champions" in a lot of Movies. Tbh, I learned about Queen like 3 years ago through watching and listening to a lot of Michael Jackson Music when I was 16 yrs old. It was one of the best discoveries I've ever had, cuz now I know where some of the Iconic Songs in movies come from and I now know why they're Iconic, because Queen is Iconic.
The proverb says that no one doesn't know a song by Queen; they just don't know that Queen sings that song.
More Queen pls 🥰 Love Queen !
every member of the band wrote multiple no 1 hits worldwide.
You obviously love really great beats and this band " Queen " is right up your alley! Queen fans are the best and most knowledgeable of all fans, they'll always take you in the right direction. Follow the thread and watch your channel grow, fast! More, more Queen please! 🙃
You have to react to Queen "Somebody to Love" live a Montreal. You won't be disappointed!
That was Roger's voice not a guitar ☺️ great reaction
I love this studio version! Freddie forever!!!! 👑👑👑❤️❤️❤️
You would be amazed at how many Queen songs you probably actually know!
My absolutely favorite Queen song
Please do the live version from Montreal!!
Check out the live version Montreal 1981 absolutely iconic performance!
Queen wrote it too. Fantastic. They were so talented.
The dude (Freddie Mercury) had excellent vocal control. One of the best.
My favorite song, my number #1 … Gotta check it out live tho in Montreal 1981 & Milton Keynes 1982. Something magical happens when Queen performs live. And yes, they are best known for their live performances, musicianship, & songwriting! All members are in the Songwriters Hall of Fame & Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Freddie Mercury considered the best rock vocalist & frontman on the planet!! 🌏
This song LIVE, 1981 in Montreal will knock your socks off! It's phenomenal.... can't recommend it enough. It's beyond a treat....Somebody To Love, Montreal 1981 (Queen) live performance....
Yeah, it was rain... rain of Queen music :)
Legendary this Band 🔥🔥🔥
Best band ever! Live versions are 🔥
"This man can sing" hahahaha
Welcome to the world of the greatest music you will ever hear! This song was also in Ella Enchanted.
Queen is lead singer :Freddie Mercury and showman, song writer, Guitarist: Dr. Brian May also back up vocals, and astrophysicist, Bass player: John Deacon who built an amp called the Deacy as he was also an electrical engineer, Drums: Roger Taylor who sang back up vocals and has an amazing voice while playing drums! All four wrote hit number one songs! These are the geniuses called Queen. Unfortunately Freddie passed away in 1991.
Hahaha I saw happy feet in the theaters way back when 😁
No one sings like Freddie, no one harmonises like Queen. THE best band ever.
Lucky you! Yes you are tripping! Love Queen!!!
I just subscribed. You’ve popped up on my feed several times in the past weeks and I think I’m hooked on your energy! Thank you for making my day today!
Wow! Thank you so much 🙌🏾
More Queen! You have no idea yet but you’ve heard at least 4-5 Queen songs. Go down the rabbit hole! They’ve written so many brilliant hits. Makes me mad when people think all these new bands covering their songs are the originals. Queen always did it first. Freddie had a once in a century voice!
LOL - I was going to say "think penguins!" & you got it first! Happy Feet! And yes, that was indeed Roger Taylor (the drummer) making that high pitched 'guitar sound"! Roger was their go-to guy for the high register. Though Freddie could hit those notes too as shown when you asked "what the freak was that?" - That one was Freddie! As a lot of people are recommending in the comments, I think you'd enjoy another version of this same song. "Somebody To Love - Live At Montreal 1981". The Queen experience is such that you can hear/watch all version & get a difference experience from each. No two are the same.
Freddy Mercury (RIP)....Oh, Lord could he sing. Montreal Live '81...it'll make you cry...wonderful
I love that you have heard these songs from kids movies! 🤣🤣🤣 Coco, Happy Feet, etc. 🤣🤣🤣
I was years 9 years old when this song came out (1976) and I absolutely loved it!!! This song is very likely my favorite of all the Queen songs.. IT'S ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL WHETHER IT'S LIVE OR RECORD!! IT'S THE SAME SONG BUT SOME OF THE LIVE IS DIFFERENT. THE LIVE VERSION DOESN'T HAVE AS MUCH OF THE THE CHURCH SOUL SOUNDING HARMONIES THAT THE RECORD VERSION HAS.. IT IS STILL FREAKING AMAZING AND I LOVE IT WHEN QUEEN PERFORMED SOMEBODY TO LOVE IN CONCERT!!!
AS kids, we'd be in the back of the car singing Bohemian Rhapsody 'MAMMA MIA MAMMA MIA
.. MAMA MIA LET ME GO!""😂😂 THIS SONG IS A MASTERPIECE.. ❤️❤️❤️ RIP FREDDIE MERCURY (Farok Bulsara). His family were Zoroastrians and from Asian Indian descent. Before he was born his parents moved to Zanzibar. It was once a colony and Providence of the UK until 1964.. look for Freddie Mercury's dad worked for the government and decided to move ASAP & bring the family to England because it was a lot safer. Farok was the oldest and he has a sister named Kashmira (Kash) the younger.. Freddie always spoiled her. Other ways you can say Freddie Mercury's dad sent him to boarding school in India when he was only about 8 years old all by himself where he stayed until he was about 17. It had to be horrible away from his family all those years and that's probably why he ended up the way he was when he got older. It was an all boys school & they were right near a girl school and occasionally they would have dances and stuff like that but back in the 1950s they were pretty separated. Freddie was only able to visit his parents like maybe once a year or once every couple years and it was an 8-week sea journey across the Indian Ocean to Africa. His parents lived in Zanzibar which was just a little bit of the island off the coast of Africa. He probably saw his parents four times in 8 years. When he left boarding school at 17, he returned to Zanzibar about the time they were having a revolution so his family fled to England. He about 18 years old in 1964 and that's when Freddie Mercury fell in love. He fell in love with England!!! It was a much more modern country than India and Zanzibar.. Farok got his nickname when he was attending boarding school in India and they just started calling him Freddie. It wasn't until Queen was born that he later changed his last name to Mercury. (Bulsara wasn't a very catchy Rock name).
This band is legendary... If you get the chance, please watch 2018 "BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY".. IT'S PROBABLY CHEAPER TO WATCH IT ON CZcams FOR $3-$4.. IT WAS NOMINATED FOR ALL KINDS OF AWARDS AND WON EVERYTHING EXCEPT BEST PICTURE..RAMI MALEK won BEST ACTOR!! This movie is so good and I'm seeing it probably 10 or 15 times between the theater and on HBO and Starz.. some things about the movie are out of sync because Freddie Mercury didn't find out he had AIDS until 1987 & not before live aid in 1985 as the movie portrays.
You have got to react to them singing this live in Montreal 1981. It’s next level. You will be sorry if you miss it.
Omg I lol-Ed when you said ..you need friends in the background to say…He works hard!! I totally get that theory and visual!!
I can score this song from beginning to the end.
Its my best song forever
You gotta react to the live version. Montreal, 1981!! Freddie kills it!
One Vision by Queen
Freddie was amazing. 💜💜💜
LEGENDS!!!!!
I LOVE your reaction ♥!!!!
I know it's been said...but live in Montreal is amazing.
I’ve been a Queen fan my whole life and I can’t tell you how great it feels when someone has never heard queen and they immediately love it. By the way Queen write the song, Freddy Mercury is the singer and you should listen to spew will rock you by Queen also an Orginal they wrote, one of my favorites along with Good old fashioned lover boy, also recommend that
Queen my number 1 band on my list
Always and forever
Queen
6:14 - You can tell Freddie LOVED his Aretha Franklin. She was his biggest diva.
masterpiece
Love Queen and Freddie. There are so many great songs by them I won't relist the ones people already mentioned but to add to it.. Radio Gaga, and We will rock you (you have probably heard snippets of this and another one bites the dust during sporting events). You also should check out Queen's live aid concert. I only have one regret when it comes to Queen with Freddie Mercury and that is I didn't get to see them live before Freddie passed away. A reporter once asked Freddie what his favorite instrument was to play and he replied "the audience" you understand what he meant by that when you see them perform live. Adam Lambert does good as frontman for Queen but not as good as Freddie. There will never be another Freddie Mercury.
I already left a comment above. You know that Queen is the original singers of Bohemian Rhapsody right? Oh you just said Happy feet LOL that's why you remember it how funny :-) okay enjoy Queen!! You should check out the movie Bohemian Rhapsody the story of Freddie Mercury's life and death.
Bohemian Rhapsody is more the coming out of Freddy in a time it was still a problem when it became public that an artist was gay, Rock Hudson, Elton John.
The movie is incredibly inaccurate. Better to watch "Days Of Our Lives" documentary if one wants an accurate story and total Queen music.
Agree with “bbbfst” the movie is out of sync with real timeline and imho the portrayal of Freddie didn’t capture Freddie’s personal charisma or strength of character (and even questioned his work ethic!!! From every interviewer, friend, those close to Freddie there was one consistent commentary about Freddie being thoughtful and generous and rarely kept people waiting ….. that Freddie was absolutely driven by music and recording and was the mediator of many arguments in the band where pop/funk/soul (Deaky)versus heavy rock (Brian) versus Rogers input.
There is no doubt this friction resulted in some of the best music ever but without Freddie would it ever have happened? Maybe he was late into studio a couple of times in 20 years …. Seems like someone wanted to rewrite the dynamics of the band … that’s Hollywood for you!
I was impressed with Jo Mazello (Deaky) and Rami (Freddie) given they didn’t have the real life band members to study whereas Ben Hardy (Roger) and Gwilym Lee (Brian) had direct access to their “characters” as Roger and Brian consulted on the film.
Still not sure why some of the erroneous timelines were signed off on. There are many fans that were upset with Brian/Roger for letting it go out but who knows how much control they had over the final result and I assume there were financial implications if it failed to materialise…. Dunno just speculation.
Bottom line the movie is not dreadful but if you know the real timelines and events in context of the culture/climate of the time the best you can do is accept it as a fictionalised piece of drama. Watch interviews with Mary Austin, Montserrat Caballe, Dave Clark, Jim Hutton, jer and Kashmiri Bulsara, and live interview footage of Freddie himself. Then you can draw your own conclusions.
The studio version...NO
THE LIVE VERSION
AMAZING!!!
Boston - More Than A Feeling
You know at least 3 queen songs...everybody knows these...Bohemian Rhapsody, Another one bites the dust, We Will Rock You ,
The live version at Milton Keynes bowl is fantastic, think it was 1982
Check out some live versions, there is plenty of them. Save me, Montreal 81, Bohemian rhapsody from same concert, Montreal 81. Thanks
Queen's version of it, oh my god ,this is the original song by QUEEN,
And Ella of Frell - played by Anne Hathaway - a girl under a curse of obedience by the fairy Lucinda, sings this whilst under the influence in the movie Ella Enchanted.
Bohemian Rhapsody, you must do that one.
thanks for listening to this with me... i suggest you listen to some of the Montreal concert. it's very very good!
I love queens Montreal version but man I love this studio version. This is old school ..one mic 🎤 just 1 for all this beautful sound . This is PURE music ..no auto tune ..just the pure talent.
Love it when the penny drops; Happy Feet! Yes!
Me: HAPPYYYY FEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
Queen was the best band in the world.
Their most popular song was and still is Bohemian Rhapsody.
🎶❤🎵
Ok when he said he needs friends that are gonna back him up like that, I had this vision of him going about his daily life.... at the gas station; it just cost me a hundred dollars for half a tank?! His back up Queen singing friends [ yes it did yes it did!
at the grocery store; hamburger meat has a freakin lock on it now?! his back up... oohh lord oohh lord!
Try "You take my breath away", it will knock you for a loop!
YES...... Please react to this beautiful song with just Freddie on the Piano, the Hyde Park 1976 version, absolutely breathtaking.! There are many more Queen songs to do.. they were a very unique, talented group of Musicians and with Freddie Mercury (R.I.P.) as the lead Vocalist....well... just the Best.! Thank You for your reactions.
Please do it live...so much better. Queen is always better live!!
"Queen's version?" Queen doesn't have a version. Everybody else has a version of Queen.
Mike... very well said!! :>)
I would say that queen’s songs have been used in more movies and tv that anyone
One of favorites!! I usually see the live version and watch the drummer do his thing... but this official video gave us clearer lyrics.. so I like both, but you should check out live version too..
This was also in Ella Enchanted and several other movies.
...you can't help it, it's great music. I like it too, I liked it when I was a young-straight-white-guy, but I love it more as an OSWG (old-straight-white-guy), great channel young man, keep "bridging the gap"...
Yes bridge the Gap!! I love watching these younger people listening to OUR TIME Music!! I just love it!!
The song was also in Ella Enchanted
Anne Hathaway also sang this song in the Disney film "Ella Enchanted"
Saw them before the pandemic with Adam Lambert. They were still fire
Anne Hathaway did Queen justice in the movie Ella Enchanted
Another song that most people have heard and just dont know is "how soon is now - the Smith's"
And put on wonderful concerts
thlis song was also sing in the movie ELLA ENCHANTED
Yes it was Happy feet 😂
