That *bone and tissue* could be ground up and makes great *fertilizer.* Native American's used fish as fertilizer in ancient times, pre-contact. You don't even have to grind it, just put it beneath the soil and Mother Nature takes care of the rest. Plus, you get a gradual release of nutrients.
Fun fact, forest thrive on fish carcass brought in by predators like bears into the woods. Carcass decompose and fertilize the forest.

I think you’re doing a good thing with being so open about struggling with the skunk. As someone who dealt with the skunk for a long time as a younger angler, it was always super comforting to know that the anglers I looked up to had been in the same situation I was. I think you’ll help a lot of your younger viewers to stay encouraged and keep fishing.
Well it is called fishing for a reason not harvesting. Spearfishing is a different story i never skunk unless i choose to skunk.

I've been a Taku and Jocelyn fan man since you started youtube. I grew up in Marin County and loved rockfishing. But I sucked at it mostly because I had no mentors. In two weeks I'm planning on doing a Oregon and Northern California rockfish redemption tour. I've lived in Eastern Arizona for over 20 years now. Thanks to CZcams and your channel I've got the itch to do an overland / fishing adventure down the coast. Thank you so much for the tootleedge! Even though everyone else didn't do that great on keepers, you guys still had a great day out on the water, AND DAYAAM TAKU, THOSE TACOS LOOKED KILLER.. Just ate dinner and it's making me hungry again. That recipe looked AWESOME DUDE. Now I don't have Halibut available here in TORONTO, but I'm pretty sure that some nice Great Lakes salmon or steelhead will substitute in just fine. Gonna have to try this recipe out, only 6 weeks away before the first run of Kings come up out east of Toronto, will still have them and Cohos around until October, then comes the steelhead fishing all winter long until MAY. Hopefully I get a chance at making this, fingers crossed 🤞🤞
