Tbh, I don't know anything about fishing or understand a lot of the content that you post but your videos have a calming nature to them. I really enjoy watching and learning about the whole process. And I love seeing you cook what you catch, its very interesting!

I dove the channel islands for about 25 years and loved it. I laughed when I saw you guys bagged a sheepshead. They are all over there and pretty good sized. IMO the best island is Ana Capa where you can get the best rock scallops about 60+ feet down. I limited about every time. Those scallops are the best you can get IMO. They are big sweet and so delicious. Lobsters can me found there and some pretty big ones, but you really need to do night dives to get them. Thanks for another great vid Taku. You guys rock!

@@tomsmith2215 most of the sharks are relatively harmless. obviously there are outliers but those are rare
@@tomsmith2215 I did a shark dive in the Coral Sea with chummed water. Plenty of sharks all around. They did seem curious about me and followed me closely in the water but had no problems at all. I live near San Francisco now and the waters outside the SF bay are a major great white shark breeding habitat area, but the only problems we have with them is if they mistake someone for a seal or sea lion, but that is extremely rare and usually if they do they just bite once, realize their mistake, and move on (of course that could be deadly). Apparently we don't taste good. I am good with sharks and hope we can protect them if anything. Gill nets and shark fin hunters are the bane of sharks and have really taken a toll on them.
What I don’t understand is how a quality content creator like you only have 500K subs? You should at-least 1M+ for the stuff you create. I hope you and Jocelyn have a great time doing what you guys love.

As much as I enjoy the hunt and preparation of the meal, I also enjoy seeing the love you get from the people tasting what you created for them.
white sea bass is top 3 favorite sashimi for me. I haven't eaten a massive variety of sashimi because i live in the midwest where getting fresh sashimi is hard but from what i have tried, white sea bass is delicious and kind of underrated. the chewy texture is actually what i love, and it never smells fishy, quite mild in taste but i absolutely love it!
