Well put guys! You never point out to a pilot an object you want him to avoid because they will almost always hit it. You wanna point out where you want them to go and I’ll make it happen consciously and subconsciously. Negative talk inside of our own minds wether from ourselves or allowing it to enter in from someone else is our greatest obstacle to overcome.
Yeah!!! Wind!.. what a different attitude compared to most of us mere mortals who simpy say Crap! dam wind... I just bought a bore scope and some abrasive. How I've waited so much time, solvents and patches by ineffective cleaning practices.... Thank You both Eric and John for sharing so much of your valuable knowledge and your journey.
I never fail to get excited about taking this game on when watching Erik’s and John’s videos! Yes John I’m going to my first match in June with my lowly Savage rifle. But I am confident entering this 600 yard match because I used to shoot 600 military open sight and my Savage is a much better rifle than the AR I used in the Army. Hope to give you both a good report on my endeavor. Oh, Erik my loads are based on Lapua brass and your favorite “freedom seed”! Love you guys and you are the reason I returned to shooting and reloading. Keep ‘‘em small”!
Life & Shooting, we all crawl before we can walk, and an RPR rifle will get you walking................. life is a head game!! Thanks for sharing...................
The Lanny Bassham book is worthy of study. It definitely helped me while trying to earn my Distinguished Rifleman medal. It’s so important to clean the barrel before the carbon hardens halfway to a diamond. Get it while it’s still warm and it comes out sooo much easier. Most informative interview yet!
congrats John ! couldn't happen to a nicer guy....I have watched a LOT of your videos and learned a lot....Thank you ! and thanks Eric for doing this man .... you da bomb............OnWard.......
First and for most thank you both for sharing your knowledge and experiences with all of us. Now for me shooting has taught me patience so take as long as you need for the next videos. I'm always interested in what I can learn.
So good, thank you! I clean every time, I have really come to like the Bore Tech products. And I follow up with JB bore paste and JB bore bright. Im just a recreational shooter, but it makes be feel a LOT better about keeping my guns squeaky clean.
My shooting partner and I are always saying "Fricken Cortina!" too! But he's right, so we do it! Lol... Love watching both of you guys, even better when you're together, thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.
Im ignorant to the fact of You Tube People..Its apparent now though they make a pretty good bit of money off of it.But hey..its a Job. Hats off to you for not having to pack a lunch in to a Chemical plant.

Well done John. Today at 11 am I celebrate 30 years sober. I too have read Lenny's book. What a difference it made.

Great video. John is such a down to earth kind of guy. You all made me buy this book. Reading for the second time.
Take every thought captive!
Erik and John thanks for sharing you F Class experiences, us old guys are learning techniques wo should have learned 50 years ago.
I enjoy these interviews, I compete some with handguns and can relate these experiences. The shooting community is very supportive and knowledgeable.

You guys should do another one to talk about wind reading since you both enjoy shooting in the wind and it's so hard for most of us.
Whole video is gold, but the endind is legendary :D

Loved the video Erik! I started doing PRS. And what I noticed is that it is also a mental game. I bought the same book.

Great Vid, you guys crack me up, shoot small👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for a great interview
Very informative discussion guys, and great to see that our kit can be useful for this style of shooting.
Hi to both of you fellows
would be great if you guys did a video about what you shooting now...
If we tell ourselves what we cannot do, then why should we believe that we can do them? I also use this thought process in my life. It helps.
I never heard what the mistakes John made with the “magnum”.? Just a new rifle and didn’t have it all ironed out yet?
You guys... Bought another book! Don't tell the wife.😀
Does anybody know what article John is referencing at 32:00? Thank you
I thought barrel cleaning was getting rid of old barrels to make room for new ones.
Can't wait for the rifle Speedy is building me.
Keep them centered #!!!
Have to use abrasive to get it clean yes, but I'm lazy👍👍👍🥼🥼🥼📏📏
